The chair is comfy, though it sometimes squeaks when moving. Customer service was dedicated to helping, and we finally solved it after two replacement parts.

Great product and support
I bought Boulies Chair Swivel Lock Mechanism to prevent my chair from swiveling and their item works as advertised !!
The mechanism can be locked and unlocked at will, eg to adjust the height.
It allows me to keep my current chair, while adding the no-swiveling feature.
This product from Boulies looks rock solid, is simple and very usefull for those looking for a more stable chair.
Finally, I would like to thank Evelyn and Giselle (Customer Service) for their time and support of my purchasing from abroad.
Sit at your desk in an elegant and comfortable chair
I wish to commend Boulies for the exceptional comfort and quality of their Master Rex chair. Its ergonomic design and superior build have greatly improved my work experience.
I also want to highlight the outstanding Customer Support I received. The response to my problem was immediate, courteous, and highly professional, making the entire process effortless and resolving my problem rapidly.
This company has high standards for product excellence and customer care.

I accidentally left off my house number, but they reached out before shipping to correct it. The delivery was spot on - I appreciated the attention to detail!
I bought a chair in July 2024
I bought a chair in July 2024. Just over a year later and the backrest has completely broken. Inside the welded bracket that holds the chair to the adjustment arm has broken off.
I've emailed support, but as this is just over 12 months and they charge for an extended warranty, I'll see what they say.
It does seem that the quality of these chairs is not matched by their price. The metal bracket is clearly of poor quality, as it has bent at the top, which in turn has put additional load on the small weld/join.
Serious design flaw.

My wife got me a boulies gaming master…
Updated Review: Boulies Gaming Master Chair – Exceptional Design, Stellar Customer Service
I purchased the Boulies Gaming Master Chair for around £350, and at first glance, I was really impressed. The chair looked fantastic and felt solid, offering a great aesthetic and design that really fit into my gaming/office setup. The initial comfort was excellent, and I was excited to use it for long hours, but after about 12 months, I started to notice some alignment issues with the backrest. It was shifted about 2-3 inches off-center, which, unfortunately, began to affect the chair's overall comfort.
I reached out to Boulies, and they were quick to respond. They sent me a replacement seat, but the color was wrong, and the alignment issue wasn’t fixed. They then sent me a new backrest, and while it seemed like it helped a bit, the problem persisted. After disassembling the chair and carefully inspecting the parts, my son, who has a background in engineering, discovered that all four main components (two seats and two backrests) were misaligned by different measurements. This mismatch was the root of the issue, and despite our best efforts to realign everything, the chair remained uncomfortable and uneven.
At this point, I had resigned myself to using the chair as is, though it wasn’t ideal, and the discomfort continued to build up. However, after nearly two years of use and growing back pain, I reached out to Boulies once again, hopeful for a resolution.
I’m pleased to report that Boulies quickly responded and replaced the faulty backrest with one that was properly aligned. The new backrest arrived fast, and it was a game-changer.
Now that the backrest issue has been resolved, the chair is comfortable, well-aligned, and much better for long hours of use. I’ve been using it again for long gaming sessions, and the comfort level is back to where it should have been from the start.
What I really want to emphasize is how outstanding Boulies’ customer service is. While my experience with the chair wasn’t perfect, they went above and beyond to resolve the issue and ensure I was happy with the product. Unlike many companies that forget about you once the sale is made, Boulies stood by their product and proved they value their customers.
I now wholeheartedly recommend the Boulies Gaming Master Chair. It’s a great-looking, high-quality chair with exceptional customer service behind it. If you want a chair that will provide comfort for hours of sitting without the aches and pains, this is definitely one to consider.

Bought an EP-200 this year, its comfortable, but is so noisy, every move I make make the chair squeaks, very annoying. Have seen the same from other users...

faulty within 18 months
Purchased boulies master max chair 18 months ago for a very high price (easily 3 to 4 times the price of a regular decent office chair - almost secret labs price), under the impression that Boulies made high quality durable chairs that would last for years, hence the higher investment.
The gas lift leaked mineral oil and completely collapsed, chair cannot be raised at all anymore. It seems Boulies uses low quality gas lifts, as a high quality gas lift would be rated for at least 200 kilos, almost double the weight of the person using the chair.
The wheels are also of low quality and the bearing in them seems to also be damaged or something, as the chair no longer rolls smoothly and is difficult to move while sitting on it.
Boulies did offer to replace the gas lift and wheels, but, and although I insisted that I wasn't able to remove the gas lift from the chair and that I would need a tilt mechanism and wheel base replacement, they would only send me a "separation kit" along with a youtube short video.
As I suspected, the separation kit is crap. It's 2 smooth metal rings that you attach onto the gas lift, then push 2 bolts through to force them apart. But because it's smooth metal on smooth metal, all it does is slide one of the 2 rings along the gas lift shaft...
Not only that but one part of the kit can only be used if the chair is in it's highest position. Which you obviously can't do when the gas lift is faulty and has collapsed... What a brilliant idea Boulies, make a gas lift separation kit that only works if the gas lift works.....
I have written to Boulies again (and likely will need to wait, and argue my case for a proper wheel base and tilt mechanism replacement as they will try insisting for me to use that crappy separation kit again), and I will update this review if and when I arrive at a satisfactory resolution.
EDIT: Following my review, Boulies got back to me and are sending replacement parts to fix my chair without needing to use their "separation tool". This should've been sent in the first place, but at least I will be able to get my chair repaired. Thank you to Boulies for making it right eventually. I hope the replacement gas lift does not break again (they are saying they are meant to be the high quality kind, not sure how mine failed after 18 months)

Bought an EP-200 about a year ago
Bought an EP-200 about a year ago, the comfort is great but its the loudest chair I've ever sat on! Clunking and banging when making tiny movements ... even worse standing up and sitting down! A real shame for the price of it, the quality doesn't match the price.
An absolute shame!

Great looking chair But.....
Great looking chair But.....
The Boulies 'Master' is easy to assemble, very well finished and supplied in record time.
Sadly my user experience is less good! I found the chair stiff, hard and unyielding with very little useful user adjustment. Not at all comfortable when used at my desk. The chair now sits unused in my utility room and will remain there until it is sold at a more realistic price on eBay.

Do not buy
I received this chair already broken inside the box. The tilt mechanism was completely snapped off on arrival, meaning it was either damaged in transit or never properly assembled to begin with. This wasn’t a minor defect — it was a core structural failure that made the chair immediately unsafe and unusable.
On closer inspection, the materials used in this product are cheap and flimsy — thin-gauge metal components, brittle plastic housing, and poorly fitted parts. The wheelbase, gas lift, and tilt assembly all feel like low-grade mass-produced components, clearly designed with cost-saving in mind, not durability or safety.
To make matters worse, customer service has been incredibly dismissive:
• They refused a full refund despite the item arriving damaged and me reporting it within the 30-day return window.
• Claimed they had no packaging in their warehouse for returns — an excuse that makes no logistical sense.
• Offered £40 and replacement parts, expecting me to disassemble and repair the chair myself — after I was already injured during an attempt to fix it following their advice.
• Repeatedly delayed and refused to acknowledge their legal obligations under UK consumer protection law.
This has caused me both physical harm and significant stress, and the product remains in pieces. I now have no choice but to pursue a Section 75 chargeback and file a report with Trading Standards.
Avoid this company. The product is unsafe, the quality is unacceptable, and the customer support fails to meet even the most basic standards. Once they have your money, they make it as difficult as possible to hold them accountable.

Very comfortable and quality chair
Very comfortable and quality chair. I needed a chair that had a cushion that was plump and wouldn't leave me sitting on a hard seat. After a few months, the cushion is still plump and gives me plent of butt support. The hinges feel nice and smooth, so i can lean back without fear of tipping over.
I did bought one of the office chairs, and not a gaming chair. Gaming chairs are so uncomfortable and don't look great.
Master Review
The Master chair looks the part but fails massively in every other department. I bought this chair about 2 months ago as I work 12hr shifts and needed a comfy chair. Unfortunately I have still not been able to find a comfortable seating position, no matter what I try. The seat is incredibly firm and the lumbar support causes more discomfort than good. The arm rests are so small, firm and badly designed. I'm average height but find the chair way to high on the lowest setting and need to use a footstall with the chair. I keep trying to make the chair comfortable as I’m stuck with it now, but just can’t seem to get comfy and end up with back ache after just an hour of sitting. I can see why they don't sell these in the shops and trap people into buying them with no choice of return

Negative experience
I bought the chair to be used for several years, so I decided to buy something of higher quality. After less than half a year of occasional use, the chair tilted to one side, started to creak terribly and wobble a lot. It was just money down the drain. For that money, I could have bought several armchairs at Ikea

The chair is comfortable if you sit on…
The chair is comfortable if you sit on it in a gaming position, but it is also described as an office chair and for me it did not work that way - I could not arrange it into the right height and position to sit at a desk as advised by my osteopath. I have arranged to return it and having dismantled it (not easy with the heavy ironware) and re-packed this is now the third day that the collection has been cancelled with no notification from Boulies, and the third day that I have had to drag the very heavy box to the front door and back, putting out my back and shoulder each time in the process and undoing the good work of the osteopath. I'm not at all happy with this returns process and whilst the fault may be with DPD, I would still expect Boulies to be checking up with them having promised me that they would collect today without fail. This chair has resulted in me having more pain than I began with and a lot of frustration with the after sales service.

What a fantastic British company
What a fantastic British company. I ordered a chair from them three years ago when my better-known-brand first choice were unable to give me any timeline for delivery. The chair was delivered promptly and is well built and very comfortable. So, I love the chair but three years on it turned out my sisal carpet wasn't so keen, so I decided to change the rolling casters for fixed casters. I placed an order without checking with Boulies and apparently chose the wrong ones. Someone at Boulies looked at the order, recognised that they wouldn't fit the chair I had bought three years earlier and changed the order to the correct ones and organised a refund for the difference in cost, all overnight. Correct casters arrives a couple of days later and are now fitted. Brilliant service.
Brilliant business
This is a company that cares for the customer. Great value chairs and amazing customer service.
Still waiting...
They use Evri for delivery, so I'm still waiting for replacement casters over a week after I ordered them.

Two lots of Damaged Parts, and Still no Good Complete Chair!
My wife purchased a Boulies Master Series chair for me as a Christmas present, upon opening the box it was clear that it was far from packed well. When I inspected all the parts there was a cut/tear in the seat cushion, both armrests had imperfections on the metalwork and the wheelbase was chipped and dented. Not what you would expect for something costing £599.99!
On the 3rd of January I contacted Boulies via the chat facility, after chatting for some time a replacement seat cushion, two armrests and a wheelbase were arranged to be sent out.
On the 8th of January I received a seat cushion, which arrived in a box for a Robot Lawn Mower Perimeter Wire Free! The two armrests and the wheelbase arrived late on the 11th of January. These arrived in a plain cardboard box within a larger damaged plain cardboard box, which had several holes and rips repaired by clear parcel tape. The packing of these parts was far from good.
So, I am now left with seven damaged parts! Boulies Chairs did offer me to keep everything (not sure why I would want to keep several damaged parts) and accept a £100 refund.
The latest offer was for me to keep everything (again I am not sure why I would want to keep several damaged parts), and they will ship me a new chair in 45 days when they receive new stock from their factory in China!
Let’s see how the new chair is packed and what condition it arrives in!
