They talk and talk and talk but do not follow through.
They promise you transparency, honesty, accountability, and do not follow through.
They will not communicate with you.
Message after message and no responce.
If they know for a fact no more money is coming there way, then you are not going to get any help. You are not going to get what they said they would do. You are done. You paid the money, but you get no accountability for that money. You get no accountability for the advertising they said they would provide. You do not get the books that they said they would send you. You are left with a phone that cannot reach them.

Working with Book Writing Founders was really enjoyable. They always made sure to meet deadlines which I really appreciate. My book was published right on time and they did not sacrifice any quality. It's not easy to find a publishing service that can be both fast and really good at what they do.

I have currently been working with book writing founders to publish a childrens book. I have to agree with some of the comments I have seen. They don't correct the things you ask them too after telling them over and over. they kept trying to upsale things, and at the very end are trying to get me to pay another 1,000 for the isbn numbers and Amazon optimization. which I believe should've not been a hidden cost by any means. they don't tell you nothing is included in your package until you need to move to the next step. I'm not even finishing my book with them and will keep the illustrations they made for me to look at what could've been but i've been strung along for almost a full year for this project to not being done yet. very disappointed and next time will do more research into who is helping me so I don't lose out of 2100 dollars.

Back in 2022, I hired Book Writing Founders to do an minute animated pilot for Endeavor's Run, the first book of my SFF trilogy: The Hope Prophecy. The pilot depicted the prologue and a couple subsequent chapters. There's a lot going on in these scenes with starships, dragons, and preternatural beings. Not an easy task for animators to deliver a quality screen play and put it to screen for a $100K budget. While that may sound like a lot of money (and it is) for an individual, it's not a lot for a 22 minute pilot. The project seemed to stall over the summer and a couple of my inquiries went unanswered. However, once the VP of Operations, Mr Ali became involved, the project quickly moved forward to fruition, and I was delivered the finished product just a few days ago. It was far more than my expectations, and I'm thrilled with the final product and especially patient way both the animator, Mr Hasan Dar, and Mr Ali handled an impatient customer. That being myself. I now have something I can possibly use to entice a production company into making a full length feature with and it was all due to the diligence of Mr Ali. If you want an animated pilot for your book, be prepared to spend a lot of money, and even more prepared to you can be extraordinarily proud of.

You'll probably wonder why I've written the only three star rating up to now and I'll tell you why. I've been a client of BWF for two years now and I have four book titles published through them and perhaps a 5th and 6th if my concerns are ever properly addressed. My first and biggest concern is BWF managment's unwillingness to take ownership of their employees gross mistakes particularly those made by their "account managers" My experience with BWF "account managers" is they're in reality high-pressure commissioned sales people who do not last long for whatever reasons. What I've also found with BWF is their quality control is ubiqitous at best and their delays are in my opinion the result of indifference which occurs soon after the "account manager" (sales person) receives their commission and moves on to the next victim, knowing they won't be working there that long anyway. In the past two years I've gone through account managers like toilet paper. First there was Amanda, and then Lisa, Waylon, Becky, Mark, Joe, and Amy. My understanding is all of them are now gone but Amy. Waylon (the prize of the lot) once begged me to speak with one of the company's big wig "directors", a Robert Keenan. This snake-oil salesman projected big sales if I gave him $10,000 which he would manage through his subsidiary company in Santa Clara California. I foolishy forked over the money and where it went, who knows. At present I'm working with an empathetic and concerned senior manager named Kevin Peterson. Thus far he has examined where some of my $40,000 earmarked for marketing went. Mind you in 2-years BWF marketing has only yielded 65 book sales. Kevin informed me my money went towards their writing Instagram and Facebook posts even though I ordered four prior "account managers" to stop wasting my money on these posts. Apparently little money went towards actually promoting my four books. Why was BWF obsessed with posts? The reason is they've got bags of them. Sadly no one has ever read anything on Instagram and Facebook because there was never any promotion effort made to direct readers there. As for the website Lisa sold me two years ago for $5,000 which she said would by up in six weeks, it wasn't. After interminable delays I had to wait for Mr. Peterson, nearly two years later, to fix it and now I have a proper website. I might add Lisa, the crook who sold me the website, lied like a rug. I asked if there would be later costs and she said no. Later I learned there was a $3,000 fee for ADA compliance and a $1,000 fee for 5 years of forwarding email hook-up. Oh yes, the erstwhile Becky, said my books would fail if I did not have an audio link. The receipt for the four audio books reads $20,000 and supposidly other things which when questioned Becky replied it would go towards "marketing". By now you may well ask why I did not give Book Writing Founders an abysmal one or two star review. The answer is I consider myself a fair man. You see I've read the horror stories of other self-publishing companies out there who take your money and run off leaving you wondering what just happened. After countless delays BWF in the end has published two out of four audio books on Amazon Kindle. Mr. Kevin Peterson says the third audio book is in the works and I believe him. What I'm going to say about BWF may not make a great deal of sense but in the end they have this anemic sense of obligation towards eventually delivering deliver what you paid for. Do they correct all their mistakes? The answer is some but not all and again, eventually. My first book was published with the first letter up and down every right hand page missing for the first 273 pages. Waylon my "account manager" at the time blamed it on Kindle, but that was not true as it was an error made in house by BWF formatters. Was the problem corrected? It was, eventually. As for thier editors all I can say is they are hit and miss. Some are good, one is exceptional, and some are in desperate need of remedial English. Plan on editing the editor's work yourself unless you're fortunate enough to end up with one of the few good ones. Here's a good thing I will say which may not seem like much yet it is. They have a phone number someone answeres. They don't always identify themselves as BWF which is strangely odd, yet unlike the competition they do have a phone. So all in all, am I happy with BWF? The simple truth is no. I find their business culture of blaming former employees for what happened with their clients money to be wanting at best. The fact they have the gumption to even say it's the clients problem if their money was misspent is despicable. So why am I even still assocated with BWF? The answer is two-fold. One is I'm hopeful they'll do the right thing in the end and the second is, for what it's worth, they're the leper with the most fingers.

After months of sending corrections back and forth, I started to think the bookwriting founders were unprofessional and incompetent. I would send corrections, but only a few items would be corrected, and new corrections would be needed; for example, it took four tries to change the word thing to the word think—the need to correct items that had already been corrected continued. I now see that the problems continued because I was not buying the upsell items, i.e., cover photos and design; I have been taking photos and designing album and book covers for nearly fifty years. They kept trying to sell me more services, and I kept refusing, and the correction problems continued. I am now confident the problems were intentional. If you don't buy the upsell, they just string you along. My experience was from May 2nd, 2023, until January 2024. A legitimate publisher will give you real help with your book. Book Writing Founders is just a company designed to sell you as much as possible.

They undertook an audio book project for $3,000. They sent me the files to correct and okay which I did. That was the end of conversation. No book, no information. They pass you from person to person with each one promising to take care of you. They won't answer chat requests. Obvious fakes and scammers. Beware!

The absolute worst experience of my life. Awful communication, I’ve had to chase every email, sometimes for weeks/months! After many “editors” reviewed my manuscript it was riddled with spelling and punctuation errors. The book they finally
published was cheap paper and bad quality. The illustrators were poor. I worked closely with a few and I had to feed them everything and my feedback was rarely listened to even thought I’d paid them thousands of pounds!

Their “social media” advertisement is shocking and all fake really with thousands of made up followers to make it look better than it really is.

It’s put me off ever publishing a book again. Awful, soulless people. Don’t waste your money.

I was impelled to become a published author. I was told that if I chose book writting founders I would have a published book in 3 months.
It took 9 months and at first I thought everything they told me was going to happen but slowly things got very tuff.
Sadly I trusted my contract which I built with the team, and recorded my all agreement made. In it it states if my project manager changes I would receive 100% money back guarantee, I've now had 4. Now that I realize this whole this is a sham, Im going back to my contract which not only did my project manager change 4 time but, other things which I thought my contract would protect my investment, were broken aswell. My contract states at any time I am dissatisfied with the work I can get a 100% money back guarantee. The book editing process was horrendous. I payed for editing but I had to edit the book over 12 times because of grammical and spelling mistakes. When the book published there was spelling mistakes on the back cover. I spent 53k total to book writing founders. They told me if I invested this money I would be rich. I believed them. It was all a lie. I was told constantly that things would be ready by certain dates and after months of nothing I became fed up. All the project managers lied to me constantly. I demanded a full refund and stated my contract protects me. They are refusing to give me my refund telling me they are not paying me back for services started. I payed for social media platforms which I was told I would have hundreds of thousands of followers in one month. After 4 months I have only a thousand followers. I told them that the narrator reads all spelling mistakes and that this needs to be fixed. Instead without approval they put the audiobook on Amazon so that I would have to pay for it. Aswell the first sample of my webpage was a disaster. My name was spelled wrong and that there was spelling mistakes all over it. I told them the layout was all wrong. Nothing happened and 8 months later, and now that I demand my money back they say they that I have to pay for this even though it wasn't fixed after 8 months. My contract states that at any time I am dissatisfied with the project that I will get 100% of my money back. The latest project manager said the book is an embarrassment and that she would offer a new start. She said she would fix the mess that was created and start fresh. I told her I would do a fresh start but I would not need most of the marketing because I hired someone else to do what they were not doing. They told me they could not refund services started and out of nowhere I get an email stating basically everything was started even though nothing was stated except the free social media platforms. I payed for 4 posts a week and I was lucky if I got 3. It put a stop to the marketing when I realized my Amazon account were locked. I asked for the passwords to all my platforms for 2 months so I could do something with the pages since my followers were not a hundred thousand like they promised. I've been fighting to get my life savings back for a month now, and they are making this matter go to court. This company is horrible and they've destroyed my life. I've developed a illness that I now need surgery for caused by the stress they put on me over the last year.
I will be writing a second book about this one day and I suggest you don't get cond like I did. I have video recording of the creations of this contract between my family and my first manager. I did this to protect myself because 53thousand american is a lot of money. Stay tuned for my next book, and please use someone else unless you want to get lied to and loose money like I did. I will keep this site updated I promise you that.
