Window remains broken; open to an amicable resolution
Update — October 13, 2026:
I rent a home managed by Blue Fox Properties. The sliding-door glass damaged during work by a landscaper we hired on September 27 remains broken. We have paid a down payment to Columbus Glass & Screen to move the replacement forward. Beyond that payment, there has been no further repair progress that we are aware of, and the replacement has not been completed.
Blue Fox has responded to our questions. On October 9, management confirmed our enrollment in its arranged insurance coverage and supplied policy/contact information. It also confirmed that no window-replacement charge was then on our ledger and that honest reviews and good-faith complaints would not be penalized. I appreciate those clarifications. Blue Fox maintains that we are responsible for coordinating and paying for the replacement; we continue to dispute ultimate responsibility for the cost.
We remain open to an amicable resolution. Our priority is a properly completed repair with a firm completion date, clear communication about any remaining steps, and a fair written resolution of the cost and any reimbursement. We would appreciate management and owner cooperation with the existing repair arrangements and applicable contractor or insurance recovery, without duplicate work or charges. We also request a hold on disputed window charges and related fees while the cost question is reviewed.
We are willing to cooperate to get this resolved. Paying the deposit and helping arrange the repair does not mean we agree to bear the ultimate cost. I will update this review to accurately reflect completed repairs and any resolution reached.
