Great experience thankfully!

Ok so i ordered some clogs and heard nothing other than a purchase confirmation for 24hrs so I looked at reviews on here and panicked. Tried to cancel but got a prompt response to say it was too late so imagined id lost my money but no! 3 days later my lovely clogs were delivered. I received multiple emails in the interim keeping me up to date with proceedings and the clogs themselves are great...my first pair (having had sandals a long time ago) so all in all a 5* experience thank heavens :)

17 Days Later, Still No Order and Almost No Customer Support

I am extremely disappointed with my experience.
I placed my order on May 26, and after more than 17 days, I still have not received it. According to the tracking information provided by Correos, the package has never been delivered.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is the lack of customer support. The company does not respect its own promised response times. If you are lucky, you receive a reply once a week, making it nearly impossible to get a timely update or resolution.
Despite contacting customer service multiple times, I have had to repeatedly request a refund and still have not received a satisfactory outcome. As a customer, I expect better communication and a much faster response when an order is lost or significantly delayed.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Poor delivery management combined with extremely slow customer support creates a very disappointing customer experience.

No shoes and no refund

I don't think I have ever encountered a more terrible customer service. I purchased a pair of sandals online. I used Apple Pay to pay, and through some error in the system the package didn't register my full home address. It is up to birkenstock to contact the mail service and complete the address so I can receive my package, but they claim they cannot do anything, and after a half an hour call today (the third time I have called) they asked me to again call tomorrow to (wait for it) remind their colleagues to get in to contact with the mail service! Absolutely unheard of, and absolutely unacceptable. I have asked for a refund but they claim they cannot give that to me either. So no shoes and no money. I don't think I have ever had a worst customer experience. Do not buy at Birkenstock!

They put a random incorrect delivery…

They put a random incorrect delivery address on my item. When I called for help they were in no way apologetic or helpful - just said they can’t change the delivery address after order and said I should contact Apple Pay (the address is not associated with my Apple Pay account!). I managed to contact UPS who have good customer service and helped me change my delivery address, but this was their responsibility and I won’t be buying from them again. I would not be so annoyed, but the attitude of the customer service agent was so dismissive. Not good enough Birkenstock!

No delivery

No delivery. Money taken. No customer service. I ordered sandals two weeks ago. Birkenstock estimated 3-5 working days. It's now over 10 working days. I have tried writing and messaging. The phone number doesn't work. Basically daylight robbery!

The worst company I have ordered from…

The worst company I have ordered from to date.

I ordered my first purchase over 3 weeks ago and apparently evri were unable to deliver to their parcel shop. I asked for it to be reissued but apparently this wasn't a logistical option. I was informed I had been refund and to re order.

The next day I reordered my purchase which today was delivered after 3 weeks. Not only did it take over 2 weeks to be delivered but once reviewing my order, it appears that one of the pairs has been worn. There are several signs of wear, which for an order of more than £300 is completely unacceptable.

I have contacted their customer service on several occasions and received no response. I am still waiting on my initial refund from 3 weeks ago and now I am £610 down with a worn pair of shoes.

Don't bother ordering you will just receive a headache.

WORST EXPERIENCEN! DON’T BUY FROM THIS PAGE!

Absolutely shocking quality control and customer service.

I received a pair of Birkenstock sandals with obvious manufacturing defects. The glue work was sloppy, there were large visible glue marks on the back of the sandals, and the overall finish was far below what anyone should expect from a premium brand charging premium prices.

I contacted Birkenstock the very same day I received the sandals and called customer service the following morning. During that conversation, I was specifically told that the product was covered by a 2-year warranty and that I could continue using the sandals while my claim was being reviewed.

What happened next was unbelievable.

Despite providing photographs clearly showing the defects, Birkenstock refused to acknowledge the poor workmanship. Even worse, they then refused to take the sandals back because they had been worn – after their own customer service had explicitly told me that I was free to use them while waiting for a decision on my claim.

The manufacturing defects are disappointing, but the way Birkenstock handled the complaint is even worse. Mistakes happen. Poor quality control can happen. What should not happen is a company giving a customer one set of instructions and then using those same instructions as a reason to deny a legitimate warranty claim.

The photos speak for themselves. I expected quality, accountability, and customer service worthy of a premium brand. Instead, I received a defective product and was left dealing with a company unwilling to stand behind its own products or the promises made by its customer service team.

I will never buy directly from Birkenstock again, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend that anyone else does either.

Useless ai customer service

Such an awful experience with Birkenstock, I bought the Boston Clogs on sale and little did I know they would send the worst condition Birkenstocks on the shelves. If they do this, they are supposed to make you aware. I was not made aware of this fact. When I emailed them to make them aware of the condition they were sending faulty shoes out in, they replied with an AI generated response, which quite frankly took the p**** out of me.

Atrocious customer service

Atrocious customer service. Order 2 pairs 10 days before holidays on the basis that there is a 4-6 business day delivery timeframe. I have been in contaxct who said it is company policy nbot to cancel an order, once an order is placed.

I will not be here to receive the order and they are stilll going to fulfill. Support from Kornelia West specifically has been terrible

I have two bad experiences with…

I have two bad experiences with Birkenstock back to back. The first order I made was supposed to have two sandals. One sandal I received, then they sent a water shoe in totally different size than mine. I couldn’t get the second pair as it had sold out. They did nothing. Now again, I ordered two sets of sandals. I only received one in the box. I took pictures and contacted them as soon as I opened box. The store failed to take any accountability, or offer a refund or replacement. I spend a lot of money and it’s clear there are major issues with boxing/delivering. This will probably be my last purchase. Star through customer service did nothing to fix the issue.

This is not the experience I am used to

I have previously successfully purchased from Birkenstock, but this experience was really disappointing. My online order was placed on 16th May, and to date, 5th June, I've not received it. It took 4 working days to get an email saying they are starting an investigation. When I called and asked how long the investigation would take, I was told a few days no numeric timescale. I'm pretty sure my parcel is lost. Once confirmed, I asked for a replacement to be sent out; they said no, they would just refund me. I really just want the shoes I ordered. It's really disappointing service. This delivery was supposed to be supplied by Evri, which is a whole other issue. Birkenstocks aren't cheap; I'm not expecting this level of service for shoes, sandals that are over £100.00

Product arrived all well and good but sadly slippers too wide
First phone call spoke to customer services which is where my real complaint lies they were just not interested! Asked if they could help me see if the slimmer fitting would have been more appropriate but it seemed the member of staff really wasn't interested so I decided to initiate a refund. I was sent a label on 9/5/26 and returned the slippers which apparently didn't arrive at depot till 15th May only now 1/6/26 and 3 calls later in which none of the staff I spoke to seemed slightly interested in helping me did I get an email saying a refund would be sent. It seems that although they could have initiated the refund after 7 days they waited for the longest time available to them to do it and then I received an email 2 mins after my final call dreadful customer service no explanation nothing just apathy! I would never recommend and never order from this company again

I received a used pair of sandals which…

I received a used pair of sandals which were two different colors. I contacted Birkenstock and they said they were sorry and I could return them. I asked if they would offer any type of promo code so I could try again and they said no. I would think that for $150 I would receive two new sandals that matched. And all I got was an apology and an offer for me to pack the shoes back up and return them. I left a negative review on the website and it did not get published.

Shocking Customer Service experience

I placed an order relying on the 2–4 day delivery window stated on the website, as timing was critical before an upcoming trip. Having received no tracking information, I called customer service - and the experience was genuinely shocking.

The agent showed zero empathy, offered no information about the status of my order, and made no attempt whatsoever to find a solution. The overall impression was that my satisfaction - or even whether I actually received the product - was completely irrelevant to her.

Looking at other reviews here, this appears to be their standard. Disappointing for a premium brand in 2026.

Yeah this was not a premium experience

Yeah this was not a premium experience. Got the most expensive sandals and work shoes they offered. Ordered two pairs and waited weeks. Followed their size guide and went smaller than normal. Got regular fit as I'm a male. Apparently I need to go two sizes down and get narrow width.

Not exchanging these. Getting my money back. Sending this garbage back.

Worst customer service

Birkenstock customer service is appalling. Having had no communication from them for 5 days they email that my order is delayed with no reasoning. Having paid an extortionate £5.95 for the p&p (3 day deliver that obviously won’t be achieved) I asked for it to be refunded and you’d think I’d asked for a free pair of sandals the way they reacted! Customer service are extremely unhelpful and do anything to wiggle out of helping. Won’t ever use them again.

Buyer beware dont read this

I have been buying
Birkenstock hospitality foot wear for about twelve years now .I buy the boston super grip non slip grey sole non slip type.

My recent and last pair ever of the BOSTON SUPER GRIP will be my last purchase ever. And I would just like to share my experience with other potential customers.

On my last pair of boston super grips the sole has worn right through to the middle sole , the grey no slip section wore down within six months of use.
I bought my boston super grips in June 2025(have invoice with date}.I did not start wearing them until late November early December 2025.My fellow employees can verify this to anybody that requires this information . This pair was wore 5 days a week for eight hours a day , excluding all public hoildays in this time.

I have pictures (Early May 2026), the pictures of my under one year pair and pictures of my previous pair that i used for nearly 2 years that are nearly 3 year old now, with a almost complete grey sole. for anyone that's want verification .

I have reached out to Birkinstock and the online store that i purchased from that were not really interested. This door of reaching out is now closed and i will now share my experience with as many people as i can to make them aware of the footwear issue i have .

I am so frustrated by this company

I am so frustrated by this company! Whilst the shoes are lovely, the customer service and actually getting what you’ve ordered are a separate matter. I ordered a lovely pair of sandals and when they arrived, they were the wrong pair, a cheaper pair. If I didn’t know exactly what the shoes I’d ordered look like, I could have easily mistaken them thinking they were what I ordered. I raised a complaint, sent them back and received no apology. I reordered, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. The same thing happened again. This time, voucher code was given to me as an apology. I sent them back, I reordered. Same thing again! This time, no response from customer service. Honestly, in this day and age you would expect much better from a company that sells pricey shoes. To say I have lost my faith in Birkenstock is an understatement. Life is hectic enough as it is and I simply do not have the time to keep sending back a cheaper pair of shoes in the chance I won’t notice and I’ll keep them. How hard can it be to send the correct item?!
