Flexible options with longer single trips but only until age 70 it appears.
Flexible options with longer single trip options and further option to extend should plans change. Friendly English speaking assistance on telephone. Medical screening not so clear that you have to buy separately from a separate company . But ok one explained . Unfortunately it appears that you don't insure after age 70. Thought that ageism was illegal in the Uk ?Never the less happy with my policy this year and service received.

Booking is reasonably easy
Booking is reasonably easy. The system for dealing with pre-existing conditions is not very clear and involves contacting a separate provider. Obviously, one only finds out the true value of an insurer when a claim is made, so I hope I never find out.

Good value flexible policy for long term travel
The policy and terms were quite straightforward and flexible . Good value
The interface with the medical side is more confusing and does not seem to be well integrated and properly updated

Very disappointed
Very disappointed with this travel insurance company. Our daughter contracted typhoid while travelling in Southeast Asia and received little to no response to her emails asking for help.
I called from the UK and was assured the company would settle the hospital bill directly, so she wouldn't have to pay upfront. That promise was not honoured, and she had to pay the full amount herself.
Thankfully, she had emergency funds, but without them she could have been left stranded. This is not the support you expect when you take out travel insurance. I would not recommend this company.

Wouldn’t recommend to be honest
Wouldn’t recommend to be honest.
Had problems with both my wrists while traveling Thailand. Unfortunately, it was one after the other.
The first claim I made was ignored. As was the second claim I made. Both claims may I add weren’t even big claims at all.
When I tried to email about them it just wasn’t seen to.
Wasn’t much I could do whilst still in Thailand.
So I paid for travel insurance but paid for all my own medical bills whilst out there anyway.

Having looked into the matter, we’d like to provide some additional context. When you contacted us in April, we responded the same day with details of how to contact IMG, our claims handlers, and invited you to get back in touch if you needed any further assistance. We didn’t receive any further correspondence from you after this until this review.
We’ve also spoken with IMG this morning who have confirmed that the claim submission they received was incomplete and was therefore unable to be progressed. We understand that a single medical bill was uploaded without the supporting documentation required to assess the claim.
We also understand that the expense submitted was below the applicable policy excess and, on its own, would not have resulted in a payment being due under the terms of the policy.
IMG have advised that they will nevertheless be reaching out to you directly to see whether they can assist further should there be any additional expenses or supporting information that has not yet been provided.
If at any stage you feel something isn’t progressing as expected, we would always encourage you to let us know. We’re more than happy to assist our customers wherever we can, but we can only do so if we’re made aware that there’s an issue.
