We really enjoyed our stay in this…

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Paris. Overall, everything was great and we felt very comfortable throughout our visit. 🤗

The location was excellent — such a lovely area, and very convenient for exploring the city. The apartment itself was a pleasant surprise, as it felt more spacious than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept really well. We also really liked the bathroom — the shower was large and very nice.

The only small thing we would mention is that the floor was quite cold, so it would have been even better to have some slippers or a small rug.🧦💛

Aside from that, everything was wonderful. We are very happy that we had the chance to stay in such a charming and cozy apartment. Thank you for the great experience — we would definitely recommend it to others!🥰

The house was beautiful, BUT...

The house was beautiful, right on the lake with a fantastic terrace! And the beach was only about 500 meters away! 🌊🦀🐚

But: NO TOASTER?!? (This absolutely needs to be improved!!!!!) Since Dutch bread is always super soft, the lack of a toaster was the worst thing for us!!), no soap, no dish towel, no salt and pepper...

(No offense, but we've always had these things in our accommodations in the Netherlands, so we found it quite annoying!) And because there were only curtains and no blinds, it got quite warm in the living room when the sun was shining!! (And we were there in March, what must it be like in the summer?!) All in all, still recommendable! 😊👍🏻

Great hotel

Great hotel, tastefully refurbished with rooms very clean, of a good size and comfortable bed. The area is nice and it’s quiet at night, which makes for a good night’s sleep. There’s an elevator which isn’t always the case in Europe. The team at reception is friendly and professional. I would gladly return

Very good customer service

There were some issues because my booking got automatically cancelled. I called the hotline, explained the situation and after a few hours they called me back to confirm that my booking got reactivated. It was also easy to change the booking via the Chatbot on their website (e.g. adding a dog).

Don't rent from this company

Don't rent from this company! We did and are so sorry. The place had no windows. Although it was advertised as having a dishwasher, microwave, and four-burner stove, these things were not there. The carpet is so dirty I wouldn't even let a dog sleep on it. The sofa bed wasn't a sofa bed at all. The chair broke the first time we sat on it (luckily, we weren't hurt). There's no towel rack or anywhere else to hang anything. We booked the apartment for four nights but left after the first night because no one responded to our emails or calls. Belvilla initially tried to dismiss our complaint, but we persisted. Finally, they conducted an "investigation" and claimed, "The microwave and dishwasher are included, and the sofa bed is functional." They refused to refund our money. I can assure you that these things are not in this apartment. There are many beautiful apartments in Paris, don't rent one through this company. False descriptions and no customer satisfaction!

Just a really nice stay

Just a really nice stay in a really nice resort, very peaceful. Food isn't the easiest, the restaurant is a bit, well a bit confusing to be honest. And not many near by, but we had a chance to cook our own food in a relaxed way. Overall I am really glad we stayed there. ( Family, with 16 and 12 year old boys

My happy experiences with Belvilla


I had two holiday bookings through this company in 2024 and 2025 so far and had no negative experiences whatsoever. They responded quickly to my queries and everything went smoothly. When there was a need for cancellation and refund it also went well and we made a new booking. I found the landlords at the holiday homes helpful and responsive. I have another upcoming booking for 2026 and hope it goes well too.

The apartment was excellent and well…

The apartment was excellent and well equipped. We had a comfortable stay. The balcony is big and has a fabulous view to La Manga. I would definitely book again.

🔴 WARNING: Avoid Belvilla at All Costs – Unresolved Case for Over 3 Months!

I booked a property via Belvilla (Booking ID: 1LTHGVW4) in February 2024 for a large group, and the listing at the time clearly showed 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. I even double-checked by email and got a confirmation from Belvilla that the details were correct.

On the day of check-in (June 22), the owner himself called and informed me that there was a mistake on Belvilla’s website, and that the apartment only had 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. He directly told me to find another place because the property wouldn’t fit our group, and that they would cancel the booking due to this error.

I had no option but to book another apartment last-minute, which of course was much more expensive than my original booking — since I had made that booking four months in advance.

Since then, I’ve been contacting Belvilla nonstop for over 3 months. I’ve sent all evidence — screenshots of the listing, confirmation emails, even the host’s messages. Every time I contact them, they say the same thing: “Your case is under review with management, please wait”. It's now been more than 7 weeks since they said the issue will be resolved within 3–4 weeks, and still no refund, no compensation, no resolution.

⚠️ WARNING: Based on my experience, I strongly advise travelers to stay away from Belvilla. There is no guarantee that your rights as a guest will be protected, even if you have proof. Customer service is slow, repetitive, and ultimately unhelpful. If anything goes wrong, you may be left on your own — with no refund, no help, and no accountability.

This was one of the worst travel service experiences I’ve ever had. Do not risk your trip or your money with this platform.

Of the importance of doing your homework on companies you rent from...

Rented a flat at 58 rue Greneta in Paris for 3 nights with Studio Prestige via Booking.com. Studio Prestige is a brand by Swiss holiday property rental company Belvilla. Belvilla and Studio Prestige both already have bad reviews online.

Property was a converted storage unit, accessed through a metal door from an inner courtyard, single tiny window without a lock. The place looked tired to the point of exhaustion with parts of the faux wooden floor scraped off.
The place hasn't seen a dedicated clean in ages, with fluff and dirt and crumbs hiding in all nooks and crannies and under the sofas and bed; and even a superficial clean is apparently not customary: the floor was still dusty to the touch and covered in long black hair that would get caught in your socks. There was a hair comically stuck to the wall above the bathroom door, visible in the mirror but somehow missed twice by the cleaning team (as we demanded a re-clean).
The sofa bed was crooked and ancient, lumpy and bumpy, squeaky and wobbly. And still a better option than the bed, as the bedroom featured a shower continuously exuding rank sewage smells.
The wastewater odours also emanated from the drain in the bathroom, of course, but at least we could shut that door...

Too bad, as the location was excellent: rue Greneta is in the mainly pedestrian, charming and lively neighbourhood behind les Halles, right off rue Montorgueil. But the flat itself almost entirely ruined the experience.

Belvilla doesn't seem to have this specific flat listed on their own website, which makes me think that they deemed it of too low a standard even for their 1.7-star performance on TrustPilot... This is a typical bad faith company churning properties at a premium, letting them slowly degrade until the flats just give up and die.

Avoid.

Knowingly Complicit in Scam Apartment

Scammed by a property owner in Paris who were continuously letting an apartment with known and oft-reported plumbing/flood problems. Owner (checkmyguest.fr) and BelVilla non-responsive. Moved out after a single night. Belvilla says the owner says they were never notified. Belvilla is knowingly complicit in this scam and will not issue a refund for an unlivable apartment. Shame!

expérience catastrophique, à éviter

expérience catastrophique où je n'ai même pas réussit à entrer dans le lieu, et obligé de partir chercher une autre chambre à payer en double.
Surtout ne pas réserver cet appartement, on est proche d'une arnaque et personne pour vous aider avec des messages en néerlandais.
A EVITER !!!

catastrophic experience where I didn't even manage to get into the place, and had to leave to find another room to pay double.
Don't book this apartment, it's close to a scam and nobody is there to help you with messages in Dutch.
AVOID!!!

Een rampzalige ervaring waarbij het me niet eens lukte om binnen te komen en ik weg moest om een andere kamer te vinden en het dubbele te betalen.
Boek deze flat niet, het is bijna oplichterij en er is niemand om je te helpen met berichten in het Nederlands.
NIET DOEN!!!

Disgraceful customer service

Disgraceful customer service

Had a fabulous holiday in Beaufort however this has been ruined by the chaos trying to get our deposit back.

Your terms and conditions state 10-14 days after departure and we have so far waited 6 weeks and today told to wait another 3 weeks. Disgusting customer service replies are either chat bot or AI rubbish … sincerely apologising blah blah blah…

When raised a formal complaint just ignored.

Am now going through chargeback process with bank as I have no doubt these fraudsters have no intention of returning it.
