If I could give zero stars I fkn would! Come to fit new front doors to the entire block. Somehow managed to leave a 2-3ft hole in the wall and expose all brickwork and cinderblocks. Then in their wisdom cut the Internet cable. They have done this to multiple properties in the block. Engineer have said can't fix it due to having take frame out to repair it, have contact openreach. Didn't seal the door in around the frame either.

Cowboys seen their work all over Bristol I'm amazed how they win the contract, but saying that Bristol city council employ these rough traders avoid these clowns that's why they work for the councils

I've recently moved into a property that was supposed to be finished and I have had to redo EVERYTHING. This firm is a complete waste of time and money.

This group were contracted to work repairing doors at my university accommodation. They arrived at my flat as a group of around four men and got to work removing and repairing fire doors. I had absolutely no complaint about their work until for some reason they started to talk about their sexual fantasies and make lewd jokes. This made me a bit uncomfortable and as the only person in my flat (and a girl) I was too scared to confront them directly, so I emailed my accommodation supervisor letting him know what was said and asking if they could tone it down. My halls manager asked the men to leave immediately but they took a while to clean up. During this time they worked out that I was the one making the complaint since I was the only one there and started talking about me saying they found the complaint laughable and that I shouldn't care about it because 'I'm not twelve'. They even continued their previous conversation in defiance. This whole time I felt incredibly scared and started crying when they finally left.
Bell without doubt are the worst company you could ever use. 1 year on from starting the work & it`s still not completed. The work that has been done is of a very poor standard & has not been rectified. So called carpenters are useless & incompetent. They rarely keep to appointments, never turn up when they say they will & basically fob you off with any lame excuse. AVOID using this COWBOY company otherwise you will regret it.

The title of my review states it all!
I am currently a Progress Tenant and I couldn’t be more happy with the end result of the exterior of my property as a result of the painters hard work. All very friendly and professional lads. A big thank you also to the manager ‘Michael’ who was extremely accommodating with me due to my health conditions. I am a very nervous person and he really did reassure me.
Couldn’t be happier and would definitely recommend to my friends and family if they ever require any decorative works. Thanks again!
Sylvia
Contacted bell for complete house decorating.. initial customer service was pleasant ... unfortunately the lake of care to my home was unsatisfactory....end result was below par ... wouldn't recommend
Good afternoon,
I have just had my home externally redecorated I’m a gateway housing resident and I must say WOW it is amazing the painter on site called Darren was brilliant and did an amazing job I would also like to mention the manager Michael basterfield was very accommodating with our needs and when on site always said hi with a smile and asked if I was happy and I am thank you Michael you have an amazing team and well organised
Thank you Michael and Darren again !!!
Various things left incomplete, very unorganised due to management issues and communication or lack of rather between management and staff, 9 weeks nearly to install new bathroom and still not complete 💯, never known it to take that long to decorate something the size of a shoe box, I'm actually going to get the little things left to be done myself and save some sanity, the plumber was a absolute legend though and deserves a medal 🏅.... Quality of fixtures and fittings is very nice design and feel is nice, just a shame about the issues already mentioned, let them down to be honest 😕 ( started 13th of march )
If it was possible to give this company a minus score I would. Contracted to do work and they trample all over agreements made between landlord and residents. Arrogant and Bolshevik attitude. I rather hope they lose this big contract
Unnecessarily noisy, shooting to one and other. Don't turn up all week then decide to be extremely noisy all day Saturday even tho you are meant to stop after 1pm. Commitment is there but some people work Monday-Friday unlike them.
Couldn’t fix you a ride in a brothel : workmanship is on par with high school CDT classes and are genuinely inept at doing everything from appearing on scheduled dates to completing works.
If it’s not something that can be bridged with emulsion paint or silicone sealant then they’ll scarper as quick as they (even if) they artived
We had no choice but to use the Bell Group as our freeholder had them as a preferred supplier, however I know that we were not the only case of poor workmanship in the London area and they are no longer being used. There were problems from day 1. The surfaces were not prep'ed. This is essential for paint adhering particularly in urban areas. Then when the job did start, workpeople turned up for a max. couple of hours each day. The workmanship was appalling, over painting historic features and over painting the glazing on the windows. At one point we came back to a kicked over paint pot on the pavement with it also splattered on the house wall where it had obviously fell from a height. I raised my concerns with the foreman immediately and was palmed off with comments like " we really don't want to be here. We have a house we are working on in Muswell Hill!" as well as being very aggressive and confrontational. In the end they got 4 people on the job (including 2 apprentices) and completed it in 3 days at a cost of £10K! They also spent 1 day scrapping all the paint off the glazing. Within months, the paintwork started to bubble and flake. We got an independent survey done who confirmed that the work was substandard. We appealed to our Freeholder and got our money back into the sinking fund eventually, but that was only when there had been investigations and it transpired we were not alone. There were several properties which Bell had worked on in the London area which had substandard decoration. 1 year and a half later the work is still evidently bad with overpainted historic features which will never be the same. The flaking and bubbling paintwork will hopefully be corrected in due course by another contractor. Avoid this company, they are rude and obviously cut corners with poorly qualified employees/ sub contractors.
