Medical cosmetic camouflage for unsightly skin lesions…

I have attended clinic before with satisfactory outcome. O this occasion I asked regarding a specific service - medical cosmetic camouflage advice which is life changing for people with visible or extensive lesions not responsive to drugs, lasers etc. Never offered this service just a dermatology appointment to tell me what I already knew and that would be 3 months away presumably so busy with NHS waiting list incentives. I felt a medical clinic could offer a lot more or at least refer to an appropriate centre - hugely disappointed. I must though say that the receptionists were most pleasant and genuinely tried to help 😕🫤 overall

10 out of 10

I phoned to see if I could get an appointment sooner rather that later. The receptionist Diane, was really helpful and although she couldn't see any availability she said she would get back to me as soon as possible. Sure enough, she called about an hour later with an appointment in 2 days time. I would really like to compliment Diane on her professional and friendly manner and that she was able to help me so quickly.
I attended at the agreed time and I am very happy with the service. It's not cheap, but it's we'll worth it.

Waste of money

Waste of money. 10min appointment for £300 and still not sure of diagnosis as wound is getting worse. Waiting a month now for the prescription to to to my gp. Would never go again. People having to pay this money for fear of there health and the terrible waiting times of the NHS. Shocking

Terrible & callous care- avoid

I had expected in-depth holistic care; I do not feel I received that. I felt not listened to- I was glanced at and when I mentioned other symptoms the Dr ignored these. He did not make any recommendations on basic skin care even when told that I couldnt find anything that didn’t worsen my complaint and was told they all work just as well, ignoring the previous statement I had made- that everything worsened my skin.
He took no med hx- but had none as I was self referred. He ignored all the changes i had made to diet and lifestyle with no effect and no care on the detrimental impact rosacea was having in my life.
Having spoken to Claire in response to my complaint- I would say the issues are systemic as she lacked any empathy or customer service ability and made me feel awful for saying anything. She said the doctor completed a full and complete appt- but when it was pointed out that the basics (a medical history for a new patient) wasn’t taken, she had nothing to say & no apology was given. Avoid if you want proper healthcare.
Having also tried the treatment the dr prescribed for over 3 months there has been no improvement in the slightest. 6.25mg carvediol; when stopped there was no change either. Total waste of time and money for consultation and prescription. He was far more interested in pushing for me to pay for laser treatment at the clinic than listening to a word i said.

Highly recommend Belfast skin clinic

This week I visited Belfast Skin Clinic for the first time.I booked my appointment by telephone with a very helpful and pleasant receptionist. The clinic itself is contemporary very bright and airy and aesthetically pleasing.
I was seen by consultant dermatologist Dr Yasseen Moosa. He was extremely professional very pleasant and put me at ease immediately.I left feeling very satisfied and confident to recommend both Belfast skin clinic and Dr Moosa to anyone needing seen by a dermatologist.

Professional evaluation and advice for a visitor.

I was visiting Belfast from another country, and had an immediate and unexpected need to consult a dermatologist. Belfast Skin Clinic was recommended by one of the major hospitals nearby. They arranged an appointment immediately that was thorough and very professional. I felt like a guest, not a patient. I returned for a biopsy and on having a discussion with the dermatologist (extremely pleasant and professional), decided not to have the minor surgery but left with freely offered details that I could use to determine actions in the future.

I HIGHLY recommend this clinic, and Dr. Daly.

Well done the Belfast Skin Clinic!

I had an xanthelasma procedure this morning by Mr Stephen White in the Belfast Skin Clinic. He and his entire medical team of three lovely ladies were extremely professional, courteous and polite with me at all times. They are a credit to their profession.

Attend the clinic with psoriasis. Was with the doctor all of 10 minutes given a prescription to take to my own GP, this appointment costed £260 when I ask if this doesn’t work do I come back only to be told it would be another £260 needless to say the 2 lotions had no effect on my psoriasis.
