After a rocky start pleasantly surprised
After a rocky start with the delivery of the BC Vault, I was pleasantly surprised by the support that they provided. I had a faulty USB cable which they offered to replace immediately and two day s later arrived at my doorstep. The device itself is actually perfect and more secure than this I think would be impossible. Having a global password and PIN and then a password and PIN for every wallet as you wish is really fantastic and nobody would ever be able to get to your coins and tokens. Also all my questions got answered almost immediately and they go the extra mile by giving their own suggestions or ideas to get to the answer you need. Highly recommended and the best wallet out there by far. 5***** stars all the way

Thank you, that was the solution. I am pleased with the support, as always with BC Vault, I purchased my 1st wallet in 2021, and another one just this month, I am fairly new in this crypto space. The request I have is that this recent transaction that I submitted to the help desk does get recorded as a reference solution. I could not find any information on how to trouble shoot this, until our emails back n forth here, and once again they provided the solution, my beginning level of this crypto offloading/onloading into my wallet is a new step in self-custody for myself.
I like to say thank you once again, for your support in this matter, it was a bit stressful for me, I will admit, thank you for providing a relief. 100% satisfied with their consistent prompt email support helping me with this transition. I have since purchase my 2nd BC Vault. THANK YOU!

How to create wallets for altcoins.
I generally like the product, but I don't know how to create wallets for many different altcoins that are not ERC20 coins.( so I can receive them from exchanges) There are no tutorials on how to do this, if it even can be done. I thought you could store over 2,000 different coins. There should be tutorials with examples of many different coin on how to create such wallets!!

thank you for using the BC Vault. The issue you mention, is actually not an issue. You can not simply add any coin out there.
Crypto coins can use completely different blockchains as Ethereum, Bitcoin...or be a token on supporting blockchain as ERC20 tokens or....they can be something completely different altogether.
BC Vault is unique in the feature where you can actually add any token on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana...and other supported blockchains. You can also add any EVM (Ethereum) clone network (Polygon, Ava C-Chain, ETHPoW...., but as with every single crypto wallet out there you can't just add anything.
There is A LOT of work to support completely new blockchain for us as a producers and thus you will always see lists of supported blockchain/coins with any crypto wallet provider.

I did EVERYTHING according to the instructions. I wrote down the Global ID and PIN and when I went back to log in the Vault will not accept the PIN. By process of elimination I figured out that the vault didn’t take all my key strokes. So I wrote the new PIN down and got into the system 2x, and now it will not allow me back in. It gives me an error “incorrect password or pin”

Lacks truly safe backup like BIP039
BC Vault still does not have a truly safe backup system like BIP039, which makes a wallet very much brand and device dependent. Otherwise, it is very easy to use and to clone on another BC Vault device... a lot friendlier than Ledger. It is also easier to organise individual wallets by personal accounts. I still keep larger amounts on BIP039 devices.

thank you for your feedback. The decision not to use seed words was based solely on the fact that most of crypto stolen is due to the seed words. They are not encrypted and reveal not only all your existing but also all your wallets in the future. This is a gift to hackers. They steal the words and wait....and wait...and it might be after 6 months, maybe a year when they will strike. Users will long forget about the possibility they were somehow leaked.
We use encrypted backups and each of the wallets created on the BC Vault is truly unique and not linked to any previous wallet. You can create as many backups on microSD cards or paper as you want. You can even run same wallets on multiple devices at the same time, so you can have active-active backup system.
But on the lowest possible level, BC Vault DOES allow raw private key export as a last resort. This is actually the lowest level of private key, even beneath the seed words. With this it is possible to import your BC Vault wallet to other solution. No internet or servers on our end are needed for this operation!
We certainly hope that explains our decision,

we are sorry you encountered issue with the support portal. After checking your correspondence, it seems your registration confirmation email was not received on your side. We did remove your user account from the support portal and notified you, you can re-enrol.
The support portal account is also not necessary, as everything follows up over email anyhow!
We strive to give best possible support and it can happen that in times of larger number of tickets you will have to wait 24h on the response even though we try to be much faster and generally always are!

There was an issue with no BTC totals showing in my wallet. I contacted BC vault support and got an almost immediate response. It turned out to be an update issue, although at the time of my panic, available updates were not showing, but thanks again team for your quick response, this was the first time that I contacted support and I have to say, I am totally impressed with the quick reply, that's 5 star's

we are sorry for your experience, but please understand information about your wallet holdings is not in BC Vault hands. This is information that is written on the blockchain itself. BC Vault (and all other crypto wallets) just present information available from the blockchain! It can take many hours for transaction to be confirmed after the initial send request.
We have tried to locate review/info on users "scissors" but were unable to find it.
