I thought I was just trying Bark on a trial with some credits, but later discovered I’d been put on an ongoing Elite Pro subscription that kept billing me without me realising. The main dashboard often showed I wasn’t subscribed, and I don’t recall any clear emails or warnings that the free trial had converted into a paid plan. Support cancelled the subscription but only refunded the last month, refusing to refund earlier charges even though I barely used the service and clearly didn’t understand I was still subscribed.

Bark supplies leads for suppliers, you buy Credits and use them to purchase these leads unfortunately some of the leads are not valid for one reason or another and Bark will not refund credits used on these poor leads.
The reasons can be where a supplier buys a lead for someone looking for an automatic bollards where in fact they are looking for a manual bollard Barks attitude is that does not matter although the suppliers does not provide this product.
Other instances are where someone is doing research and not interested in buying yet Bark will still not returns the credits.
Bark are just money grabbing organisations who are not interested in build a good business relationship.
I suggest you consider these comments before going down the road with Bark as they certainly not be holding your hand as they will have their hand in your back pockets taking what they can

I signed up to bark as a business (exterior cleaning) looking for leads. I paid £140 for 80 credits with there GHG (Get hired guarantee) offer. Which means if you don’t pick up any work using the credits you initially get they will reimburse you the credits to use again. I didn’t pick up any jobs from the first credits and still haven’t with the reimbursed credits. In total I have brought 21 leads using the credits I have and still nothing. I was and still am the ONLY person to buy 6 of those leads and either there was no response or an hour later they have changed there mind and the son or neighbour is doing the job. The ‘customers’ posting the jobs are either not serious about hiring or they don’t respond. Noway are these good quality leads. Save your money, I wish I did what a waste of £140.

The one landscaper that we had out gave us a ridiculous quote and then expected us to use them, even though they would provide the same service for $700 more than our lowest quote. He was very rude!

had a very frustrating experience with Bark. I hadn’t even finished submitting my project request before my contact information was clearly distributed. Within about 30–45 minutes, I was bombarded with multiple phone calls (including my personal cell), emails, and outreach from vendors.
What’s most concerning is that I never felt like I had control over when my information would be shared. It appears the platform releases your details before you’ve even completed the process, which is extremely intrusive and unprofessional.
If you value your privacy or want to control when vendors contact you, I would strongly caution against using this platform. The volume and speed of outreach felt overwhelming and inappropriate.
I ended up canceling my request and will be using another method to source vendors.

The website and the app are well done quite clear.
My only regret is that potential customers aren't required to provide their exact ZIP code (especially since I live in a big city: they can simply say they live in the city without specifying the neighborhood or district), and I often come across potential customers who live too far away.
When it comes to psychotherapy, I get a lot of requests for a female therapist, even though I’m a man. Obviously, I don’t respond.

I needed help revamping my website and I got a huge number of calls from people wanting to help. Honestly my phone rang off the hook, and it became annoying, but many people reached out to help. If you need website assistance, this is the place to find some help.

The service you provided was okay, but the hypnotherapists you provided were miles away from where I lived, and online is no good for me as I am very uncomfortable with technology.

I have used Bark a few times now and the responses have been quick. On both occasions I hired somebody and their work was exceptional!

I wasn't quite prepared for as many choices when requesting a cleaning firm. It's the first time I've ever used a cleaning firm and just wasn't prepared for the range of services they provided. In the end I was a bit overwhelmed not because any of them were hassling me. The companies I spoke to were lovely. I just decided not to proceed at this time but have kept details.
I will definitely use Bark again for other services. This time I will be more prepared for the choice. The app is easy to use and I'll recommend it to any friends looking for services quickly and easily.

First guy over charged me. He was totally non professional.
2nd guy was over the top and wanted 20 grand because of Bank Holiday. He did not have a Web site. A discrace. Do Bark not vet these chances.
ALL they came with was a measuring tape.
Be very aware.

I had replies from 3 or 4 people. I thought I'd got the right person for grass cutting and weeding. He said he'll come back in 2 weeks which I thought was this Monday just gone but he was a no show unless he appears on Monday the 4th.

I've tried Bark.com twice, both times was swindled out of my money with zero work done. There seems to be a pattern : initial contact; great enthusiasm to do the job; quote offered; deposit requested; and then never hear from the person again.
Contacted their complaints department and it didn't go any further.
I just do not understand how this is allowed to happen.
This company has to be investigated and their 'professionals' vetted carefully.

Sent me recommendations for a window cleaner 80 miles away. Demanded phone number and setting an account up.
Far to bothersome, I'm not looking for a nuclear physicist

I would give 0 stars if allowed. Small businesses stay away. Their promised refund or credits just does not exist. One whole year and 2 leads were sent to me, of which didn't go anywhere. I believe they make the leads up , take your credits for getting contact details and then get NO replies from the contact info they supplied. My credits were all taken away after 1 year and never even had the job leads to use them . Complete garbage and a waste of time and money.

Very shy on credit returns on bad leads. Some leads are shocking. Barring that, great service. We should be refunded with no contact though.
