We own a bailey 69-4 motorhome and purchased new in November 2022.
I wont list all the faults we have had repaired by our lovely local dealer and the poor finishing from the factory that I sorted as I would wear my keyboard out!
I have not been a good advert for baileys aftercare as they say please take it to your local dealer who will be happy to attend to these issues. If I had , the van would have been off the road 50% of its life so far.
The issue I have now is after damaging my van on a gate post the parts ordered for the insurance repair are still out of stock after nearly SEVEN MONTHS ! Luckily it's road worthy and has been used.
I can't put into words my feelings as surely I would give myself medical issues with the frustration.Monthly phone calls to check parts progress. They just extend the delivery dates. It does not matter to them. They would rather sell a new 69-4 than use the spares to keep me happy. If they are making new 69-4's they have parts correct?
My first MOT is due Friday and I pray the crack in the rear light will pass as if not the van will be off the road .This is a British made van, what a joke we are.
PS. I have noted the cut and paste replies from Bailey and don't hold out any hope of satisfaction. It was clear at the NEC show that they spend more on promotion than they do on looking after there present customers. I'm only keeping this van as I love the lay out . Eventually all the faults will be fixed but not with Baileys help.

We purchased a Bailey Adamo 75 4 T and collected it on 28th February 25. It had 113miles on the clock broke down going into the Easter weekend had to be transported into Ford for repairs cancelled the weekend away.
Went away for 3 x 5 day holidays and every time it had to go in for repairs that took 3 or 4 days for repairs except the last one that took 4 weeks.
The dealer I bought it from took it up with Bailey who said they were all trivial problems, but what they forget is that when it’s in for repairs it’s not taking us on holiday, for a new van it’s disappointing, the first and last time we’ve bought a Bailey , their customer service/ support is rubbish.
Yes I’ve received an email from Nick East and I have replied to it giving all the problems and what action I’ve taken, I would never buy another Bailey.

A very easy process to transfer our new caravan warranty to me .
They were very helpful and a prompt service.

Recently bought a used Pursuit 550-4 (1), reasonably happy with the Bailey, few gripes, external locker door not shutting / locking issue, they do not seem that rugged.
One HUGE gripe is the manual that cover two other models as well as the Pursuit, the manual is very very badly laid out so the reader wonders if he is reading info pertinent to the Pursuit or the Unicorn or Pegasus model, very poor show not to have a manual that is specific.

I bought a brand new caravan 2024, I have a leak from the awning rail and Bailey do not want to do anything about it.
20/10. Company still don’t want to know about our caravan leaking over the door. The join is in the wrong place on the roof is in over the door. There is an easy solution, but Bailey do not want to know.
Customer services have replied but they don’t want know.

I think your policy on transferring the water ingress warranty needs to be reviewed , I purchased a second hand caravan from a friend in feb / march i had no information/ literature with the caravan and assumed the ingress warranty followed the caravan. Only to be told by Bailey you have to apply to transfer it within a time period. That would not be the case if it was a motor vehicle.

Aftercare have been very helpful and attentive whilst dealing with them transferring the warranty on our new to us 2022 Unicorn Cabrera. The caravan is almost 4 years old, and despite this, they are replacing our front blinds which were really badly designed on the Unicorn V range. The previous owner had issues with them, but no fix was available at the time. Goes to show how important it is to report problems to your dealer or caravan engineer at the time.
I’ve no other issues at the moment. We’ve never owned a Bailey before, so we are hoping for a fairly trouble free van if possible… if that’s a thing!
The only thing I’d like them to fix, is that they’ve spelt my first name wrong, but it happens a lot so I’m not going to ‘complain’ about it lol. It’s Anthea, not Athena 🙌

You got back to me promptly and made the transfer easier

This is my second Bailey motor home, the ADAMO which iam over the moon with, the quality is good despite what some negative people say, we had the Autograph before for nearly 10 years with out a problem, resold it straight away, there will always be silly issues these motorhomes bounce all over the road but easy to rectify. Bailey are a very good manufacture and honour there warranty

Update December 2025. As per the response from Bailey below, a representative did make contact to talk about the issues but I have yet to receive any further contact from anyone at Bailey. Additionally, I have sent multiple emails to Nick Howard (a director at Bailey), still yet to receive a response. Bailey appear to have blocked me on Facebook, not to worry, plenty of other places to make these issues public!

Bought a brand new Bailey Pegasus Grande SE Messina, delivered in January 2023. First fault, the bathroom light switch is faulty, might be considered minor but how did it get through quality control (assuming that exists at Bailey)? Second fault, the rear bedroom skylight is leaking (September 2024) and it's 4 months wait to get this fixed. Third fault, at 32 months old the roof strap is now leaking, awaiting to see how long it is to get this fixed. For me, Bailey is a company to avoid, the faults should not happen but where they do, Bailey needs an adequate model in place such that they are resolved in a timely manner, not months. I'll never be making another purchase from Bailey.

Well where do I start?
We’re retired and treated ourselves to a new Bailey Alora 4S on the 1st May this year. It seemed perfect for the two of us with a fixed bed but from day 1 we’ve had problems. The first time we lifted up the bed to put things into the under bed storage the left hinge broke and a piece of metal pierced the side panel. The bed could still be used but it took 5 months for our dealer to get a new base and has only just been fixed. It came with only one bedroom curtain which in the grand scale of things not a big problem but should have been checked.
The screws holding the doors and the steps to the bed are all lose and the two kitchen doors have actually come off and one is held by duct tape and has to be looked at again as it has also dropped out of line. One of the foldaway passenger seats was stuck in its down position, the cupboard doors wouldn’t stay up if you opened them, the trim in the cupboard fell out when you opened it, the bathroom carpet which should have been studded to the floor only had one side of studs, there is a bad whistle from the large window when we drive, the hab door had daylight coming through it as the lock on the body had come lose so it wouldn’t shut properly, one of the plastic covers on the side of front seat had fallen off and broken and the seat covering on the front seats is always coming out. On the outside the seal between the bonnet and the windscreen had come away on one side leaving a large gap, the gas locker door needed rehanging and we had a leak by the pump. This then turned into a major leak so on our 3 week holiday this summer we had no on board water for the whole holiday until we could get back to the dealer and have a new pump fitted after a month of use. I could cry at the moment as the water tank now won’t calibrate despite it having gone back to the dealer for its 3rd snag only coming back last week after telling them the water level gauge doesn’t work. Yesterday we ended up filling it too much as it only said 1% filled, and then we had water gushing out of the under side of the van! Have we done any damage ? We don’t know but as we’re on holiday again will contact our dealer today. What on earth is going on? It seems that these vans have no quality control or should I say it’s non existent! The way we feel if we could give it back we would but know we would lose too much money now. Our dealer has managed to fix most of the problems but it just seems relentless and on every trip something goes wrong. Happy retirement to us!!

We bought our Adamo 75-4DL in February 2023. From day 1 there was a list of issues, to which to this day still haven't been rectified, as well as other issues that have happened and we are still awaiting parts for.
Compared to European vehicles, the workmanship and product is not fit for purpose. We are stuck with it, we can't part exchange it or sell it back to the dealer, as they don't want it either. It is having a severe impact on our mental health and pocket.
Honestly please don't buy a Bailey unless its 2nd hand and has been tried and tested.
We are so stressed now we don't know what else to do.

It took 2 weeks after submission of my query to receive notification that due to a systems error my online form could not be be fully read, but a resubmission would be treated as urgent. It wasn’t. The response came a month later. In the meantime I called Baileys. It took a good 15 minutes to be connected to an advisor. She tried to help and was very polite but a language barrier meant my query was not understood. I had to press to speak to a manager. The query was then quickly resolved. The process took at least 30 minutes for what was a simple question!
In the meantime a transfer of warranty was dealt with relatively quickly.

Recently bought a nearly new Alicanto twin axle privately (buyer selling due to health problems)
We love the caravan-it replaced a 2 year old Pegasus Rimini which we bought new and we sold privately.
We had a couple of minor issues with the Pegasus which were quickly resolved under warranty.
Elliot has now transferred the warranty to us and apologised for the delay due to their work load.
If this caravan is as good as it’s predecessor we’ll be happy!

You issued a COC which was incorrect. I provided the information that you needed to reissue a correct COC but was asked to send a copy of the original COC, which I did plus the Uprated COC. Surely you should have all the information for the COCs in your system to check and answer the query. I seem to have done all the work for you and should charge you my hourly rate of £125 for the pleasure.

We recently bought a 2 year old Bailey Unicorn Seville 5 and we're absolutely delighted with it. The layout is perfect the finish both inside and out is first class and the quality is just so good. In the two months we've had the caravan we've had to contact Bailey's Of Bristol for a couple of things including the warranty transfer. The customer service has been excellent and what makes the experience even better is that you get to speak to a member of their team quite quickly without having to go through lengthy, never ending voice message machines. The staff have all been so friendly, helpful and professional which is very reassuring when you consider that a caravan is an expensive commodity. All in all we're extremely happy with both the caravan and the service we've had from the Bailey team. Well done and keep up the good work.
