I’d like to leave a professional but very stern review about my recent experience with Backmarket and warn customer about my experience.

In October, I ordered an HP ZBook from them for the first time. Not only did the laptop arrive almost 1,5 weeks late (which was already annoying), but upon opening it, I realized I’d been completely misled. The internal specifications did not match what was advertised on their website at all.

I immediately contacted Backmarket to fix this issue, as this laptop was needed for one of my employees who was left without a working device. This downtime obviously costs our business a lot of money.

After sending the first laptop back, I asked for a replacement with the correct specs. They wouldn’t send a new one until the old one was received, so I took it upon myself to order a second one, specifically asking them to verify the specs before shipping. They assured me they would check.

Now, a month and a half later, after two payments and a long wait, I’ve just been informed that this second laptop also won’t be delivered as described and that I’ll simply be refunded. No compensation of right laptop, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

Frankly, this is outrageous. We’ve had a staff member unable to work for over a month and a half due to these delays. I want Backmarket to truly make this right or I want everyone reading this review to know that they should absolutely avoid ordering here.

They’re being deceptive by advertising laptops that do not meet the promised specifications. So please be warned and control your specifications.

Clear description of the product, easy ordering procedure, quick delivery, good quality product.

Refurbished device exactly as described, just like new, but no manual included -although this is easily available online. Very well packed and fast shipping. Recommended.

What I bought is quality and I am generally satisfied.

I ordered an iPad Pro 12.9" (2021) 5th generation 512 GB - WiFi - Silver for €554. The price seemed great, but unfortunately the device I received did not match Back Market’s stated quality standards.

During unboxing, the battery dropped from 44% to 4% in under two hours. After checking the Battery Health (through the analytics logs), I discovered the iPad had 80% battery capacity. Back Market’s own documentation states that all tablets must have at least 85% battery capacity on arrival.

I contacted customer service and was told to return the item. I was given three options: repair, replacement or refund. I clearly chose repair, and mentioned I was also open to a replacement if that was faster.

Instead, without my consent, Back Market processed a refund. I never agreed to this and the explanations I received afterwards contradicted each other. I was also told the item was “out of stock”, even though the seller had literally just received the iPad I returned, which felt misleading. There's no way that they couldn't repair the item, that is giving scam.

Overall, the device should never have been sold in this condition, and the way my request was overridden left me feeling dismissed and frustrated. I now have to repurchase the same model at a higher price, because the original deal is no longer available. Very disappointing experience.

Also they keep spamming me with messages in chat with unnecessary information, on top of that they didn't refund the full amount. They sent me € 531,42 back instead of the full €554.

Amazing. Arrived in less than 48 hours and in perfect condition and exactly as described. Not the first time I do business with back markt and it will not be the last, you guys are amazing

Very satisfied with my product. The delivery was fast.

I ordered a iPhone 13 mini premium level and it came in excellent condition, looks new. The delivery was very fast and the purchase process was also very fast and easy. They offered a case for the phone.

The iPad was without a single scratch, with 100% battery capacity and 2 charging cycles.

Just perfect, everything like you would expect it and fast delivery 2 days earlier. Maybe going to order more in the future. The pen was for Chinese market we think which is pretty nice since it has no trash logo

The watch was in great condition as described on the web. Arrived fast. -1 star for the quite a fragile packaging, if I have to be honest. Otherwise all great!

Be careful, that many models sold are from China. Whilst the device arrived on time, and I appreciate that the phones are refurbished. The Iphone 11 that I ordered, upon opening, had a clearly "less-bright" screen even at full brightness. The sharpness of both colours contrast and overall luminosity was signifantly weaker than an original Iphone.

Months after use only now whilst trying to install an E-Sim, my provider checked my Model number, and as the devices come from China, they are not compatible with Dutch E-Sim providers.

Fast delivery and product as good as describe. I higly recommend to buy 2nd hand product on their website, I'm using it since years and always been satisy with their service.

I have ordered several different items from backmarket over the past 18 months. Everything was good. Items were decent and arrived fast.

I havent had issues with the items, so I cant comment on returns or refunds.

Ordered a phone with new battery but their 25 point check system failed to check if the microphone worked properly and their “new” battery dropped to life expectancy of 97% in 2 weeks. The phone was delivered to me in box with nothing but 1 layer of bubblewrap and a cable. I spoke to customer service and decided to return the phone and get a refund. For the return there is a long list of demands on how the phone should be packaged… all in all… lots of time and effort wasted. Also wasted money on a screen and lens protector …

I ordered an iPhone for my son, and it arrived quickly and in good condition. Great value for money
