It was easy to pick up and drop off the car. There car was clean and ran well.

WARNING, stay away. Just picked up car at Venice airport. Assigned car all damaged, scratches and dents everywhere, filthy inside and out, not been cleaned, warning light comes up, no idea why, no water for screen, and pump not working, media doesn’t work. Asked to change car said no availability even if we upgraded but went online and they did have availability. Then said cannot change as car registered to me. Asked for complaint form, said do online. Ended up calling police as felt very uncomfortable driving this car, they said couldn’t do anything NEVER AGAIN!

The car was dirty, and there was a warning light all the time. Also, there was no water for the windscreen wipers. I mentioned this when returning car but was given excuses.

The person at the desk was very nice, the car was actually the one i wanted (and not "similar", like it usually is), and it was in great shape.

Venice Airport. On pick up, the vehicle had 9 listed damaged parts. No damage at all occurred in my possession and Autovia have charged me €187 for a "damaged windscreen" which isn't even visible in the pictures they have provided me with. I have had much better experiences with Locauto - use these instead!

I contacted Autovia to complain directly and request further pictures of the "damaged windscreen". I did not receive a reply and was subsequently charged.

Organised, pleasant staff and speedy

It took less than 10 minutes to get the car . Service was excellent so was the car and the cheapest we have ever had in Italy

Very difficult to find the car rental office at Venice airport, the signposting is terrible. It is situated inside the multi-storey carpark at the top.
The car was full of dents all around as if it had just been involved in an accident. The windscreen wash wipe did not work; only found out in the middle of motorway when I needed to use it. I had to fill the windscreen wash tank myself as it was completely empty. Soon after, the car developed scraping metal sound from the front brakes. I managed to make it back safely eventually but I certainly had not paid for a car that was due to be scrapped.

Rented in advance via rentalcars.com from Venice Airport. The only car they could provide was an old, dented and scratched Astra. When we were away from the airport, engine “! – Engine Power is Reduced” came on, and the car had no torque in first gear and was dangerous on north Treviso hills. As we were busy at a wedding, we had to leave the car parked for four days completely unused. They would only change the car if we returned it or paid $300. They changed cars once we were able to limp back to Treviso but offered no compensation and took no responsibility for supplying dangerous vehicles once they were outside the carpark.

All went okay until it is time for us to get our deposit back. We rented the car end of May and until now our 300 euros deposit is not back. They keep on claiming that the system automatically releases the hold but obviously it has not happened - we have bank statements to support our claim. We have been provided a receipt but that receipt was when we got the car not from the deposit so I don't know what they are claiming with that. Very very very slow response as well. This is putting us in a difficult situation.

They took a 500 euro deposit, which the man serving us said would be returned no matter what so long as we bring the car back full of fuel (we had the full insurance coverage).
It has been almost 4 weeks since returning the vehicle, and I am still yet to get my deposit back. I've emailed multiple times, the only responses to which have been to direct me to another part of the company, which then proceeded to still not respond. I am yet to get my money back.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who values their time and doesn't want to be screwed around trying to get their own money back

I gotta say that I was expecting something bad due to these trustpilot reviews, but I was extremely positively surprised. I've had a terrible experience before with Europe-scumbags-scam-car, and was expecting the same here due to trustpilot reviews but my experience was really good.
We rented a small Fiat Panda through booking.com. Pickup at Venice Marco Polo airport, Delivery at Venice Treviso airport.
We received it fast and smooth, staff was kind and helpful, but the antenna of the car was missing. It wasn't too bad since we could use bluetooth. Car was in tip top shape otherwise.
Delivery back was so-so. It was horrible to find the delivery point since the instructions and signing were lacking to none, and it was hard to find any staff to actually receive it when we dropped it off. That should and could easily be much better marked at the rental delivery point.
Once we found the place and found staff the staff was fast and didn't play any tricks with us. This is really what I like, and the reason i spent time writing this review. I would use them again, but i will also come back and update this review in an instant if i have a bad experience. So i am verry happy. Thank you.
