Be cautious, shady company
I’m not one to write reviews but if I can help someone else not have the trouble, I had its worth it. I booked with Autostar Transport Express weeks in advance to move 2 vehicles no later than August 22, 2026. There were more than happy to take my deposit, and I never head from anyone from the company. I had to reached out 3 days, 2 days, 1 day before I was ready to leave and I got the same answer. We haven’t found anyone to transport your vehicles. So, I had to scramble to find a tow dolly and a place to store my other vehicle as if moving wasn’t stressful enough. August 31, 2026, still heard nothing from Autostar Transport Express, I reached out and requested a refund, and they said they would not refund my deposit because they tried to find transportation for my vehicles and it’s not their fault. Seems odd since people hire them for that purpose. I would suggest get everything in writing from Autostar Transport Express before giving them money or better idea find a trustworthy company. In my option Autostar Transport Express is a shady company that doesn’t respond or talk with their customers.

AutoStar Transport Express respectfully disagrees with the customer's account, as several statements do not accurately reflect what occurred. The customer contracted AutoStar to arrange transportation for two vehicles. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, pickup and delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed, and AutoStar has five business days from the First Available Pickup Date to locate a carrier. Although a carrier was not secured within the initial five-business-day period, the customer did not cancel the order. The order remained active, and our dispatch team continued working to secure transportation. A carrier was subsequently assigned. At that time, the customer advised that one vehicle had already been moved and requested that the order for the remaining vehicle be placed on hold while they decided how to proceed. Several days later, the customer chose to cancel.
Under our Terms and Conditions, once a carrier is assigned, the brokerage service has been rendered and the deposit becomes non-refundable. The customer's subsequent cancellation does not change that fact. We also clarify that AutoStar did not issue a refund that we later attempted to reverse. The customer initiated a credit-card chargeback, which AutoStar is disputing based on the documented order history and carrier assignment.
For these reasons, we respectfully disagree with the characterization of events in the complaint and stand by our decision to dispute the chargeback.

Overall I am just okay with my experience with AutoStar transport. I originally signed a contract and was quoted a total of 985 with them to ship my car from Texas to Georgia. I made clear before signing the contract that my vehicle had to be picked up by a certain state as we were doing a military move out of state. After signing the contract AutoStar reached out stating they found a transport wanting to move the vehicle however now the price had jumped to 1285 after signing the contract with them. In the end I was still required to pay 1100 which is still more than the contract that was signed. I was given the excuse that they were just “brokers.” However, that is not what the contract stated I needed to pay. The other issue I had was that the transport company was originally supposed to arrive around 8-9 am that morning. However the truck did not arrive to pick up my vehicle until 3:20pm. This hindered our move and we waited around for hours causing us to have to pay more out of pocket for our move. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is that Daniel from AutoStar was very informative and communicated well.

Auto Star are ROCK STARS
When we decided to allow our college Junior to have her car on campus 789 miles from home, it was logistically best to allow her to fly and arrange for her 11-year old car to be transported (packed with all her things) to meet her on campus-- GREAT PLAN, until our original transport service first had a mechanical failure (in the 11th hour) which forced a second pairing for transport, which without explanation was canceled AFTER our daughter was already on campus. Unwilling to believe the third pairing would be charmed, we opted to seek an alternative transport service... ENTER AUTO STAR! Not only did Juan, our customer service representative empathize with our situation, but within 3-hours he paired us with a driver willing to retrieve her car before sunset, patiently guided me through the contract acceptance process, and coordinated a plan that would deliver our daughter's car (with all her belongings) to campus mid-afternoon THE NEXT DAY for her to get all moved in and begin classes as planned the following morning! The driver, Bryan, was also kind and empathetic fully understanding the assignment, kept us informed via text along his journey and accepted Zelle transfer for final payment on delivery! We could not have been more elated for the outcome of what we knew was a good plan, we just wish we would have entrusted Auto Star with our business from the start!
