From booking to pick-up everything was great. I chose this rental company because they were the only ones offering a reasonable price with full insurance and no deposit. I rented a Seat Ibiza with 4 doors. I paid 200 Euros for 7 days. I dropped off the car and forgot to pick up my glasses. I called the office by phone and they promptly brought my glasses to the airport. Thank you very much. I am very grateful to them because if I had flown home without my glasses, I would not have been able to drive in my own country from the airport to my house. I highly recommend it.

Auto Rent is the best car hire!
Auto Rent was excellent when we used them very recently. The price and process was very simple. They do not hold any deposit and the pick up and drop off service was amazing. We opted for the additional insurance for peace of mind. I would definitely recommend

Honest car rental in Faro/Portugal
Short 2 Minutes Shuttle to Station outside Airport Faro. No long waits and quick, honest service at the desk. Be sure to use a real Credit Card for deposit, if not booking full insurance.
Clean cars (my 2nd rental) and no hidden costs. I contacted them now by mail and got same price like at brokers.

5. Total Relax insurance, you should take this insurance, it eliminates all worries about accidents and scrapes. If you take this insurance you eliminate all risk, there is no hold on any of your money. It’s win win.

After being overwhelmed by the car rental options out of Faro & wanting a smooth hassle free, professional experience - I booked with Auto Rent based on their reviews
Our experience was hassle free, shuttle transfer & pick up was easy, we booked the additional insurance & extra driver, price quoted is what we paid, car was great, drop off & shuttle transfer (at 4am) easy & straightforward - we would definitely use Auto Rent on our next visit - their service was professional & we really appreciated it
Please note - we were unsure whether we needed the E-Toll device - as we travelled between Faro - Portimao - Alvor - Lagos & Sagres at no point were we charged a toll (abolished 1st January 2025 on main route through?) so the device was not required by us

Great car rental experience at Auto Rent!
I highly recommend Auto Rent and give it 6 stars if I can!!
Rented a car for 6 days. I had a very clean Ibiza automatic car with Apple CarPlay (via USB and Bluetooth) which was very important other than the car being an automatic. Price was extremely competitive and fair, especially with full coverage. There was no need for a deposit as well. Only charged what was agreed upon on the day of car pickup.
Everything went perfectly and smoothly - from my online reservation and communication with Catia when I was in New York, to pickup in Faro airport P4, to car pickup with Pedro, and to car return with Diogo.
Staff was extremely efficient, professional, friendly and helpful with great tips driving around the Algarve.
You never know if the reviews you read are legit or not. Auto Rent is indeed legit. So happy I found Auto Rent and its consistent positive reviews.
Since I paid for full coverage, dropoff/return of the car was very quick. No more than 3 minutes before the shuttle van took me and my friend to the airport which was 5 minutes away.
I would definitely rent a car from Auto Rent again! Obrigada!

First time booking with Auto Rent. We found everything from our initial booking on their easy to use website, the airport shuttle bus, collection of car and return of car to be excellent. No pressured sales on collection, clean car in good condition, easy return of car.
I emailed ahead with several questions and each time received a prompt reply.

This was not our first time renting a vehicle through this company and definitely will not be our last. Our whole experience from start to finish was easy and worry free.
Although we want to thank our pick up office of Faro for great service, we need to give a special shout out to two of your star agents - CARLA and CATIA for solving and smoothing a very stressful experience for us. A Motorhome had reversed into our parked car while we looked on. The driver and vehicle were from Germany!
We cannot express enough accolades to this,professional, efficient, calm and empathetic pair. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough.

Really nothing to complain about. Didn't meet any so called cowboys at AutoRent. The car was fine. Got the car a couple of hours before ordered. Very fair price for the car. No discussion about extra insurance (I have insurance on my credit card). No problem with the shuttle service.
