This website is a scam
This website is a scam - delivery takes forever (from China), aweful customer service (they never reply), no refund when it should be the case (I gave up), bag material is likely not leather. Don't order via this platform!
DO NOT ORDER FROM AURORA
I ordered a bag and when it arrived I did not like it. The leather was very thin, the straps too short and the bag came with an insert that got rid of all the available space.
I asked to return the bag and was told to send it to an address in China. It looked like a private address and that I have to pay for my own return. I arranged a DHL return but the recipient never supplied DHL with import documents. I tried to get the shipment returned to me but Chinese customs do not allow that.
In summary, return never arrived and could not return. I lost the bag as well as my money.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER from them.
Misleading company – claims UK based but ships from China
I placed an order with Aurora Bags on 29 July 2025 (#AB-3599) for two bags, paying £94.05. The website states the business is UK based and run by two women in Manchester. This was a key factor in my purchase.
After payment I discovered the items were actually being shipped from China – a fact never disclosed at checkout. More than 10 days later, the seller told me one bag was unavailable and gave no confirmed delivery date for the other. I requested a refund but was ignored. Instead I was offered a discount voucher to buy again, which is unacceptable when I had not received the goods I already paid for.
I raised a dispute with ShopPay and my card provider for non-supply of goods and misrepresentation and have now received a full refund.
Be aware that this company is not UK based as advertised. Delivery times are misleading and refunds are not straightforward — I would not recommend ordering from Aurora Bags.
Don’t waste your money with this bunch…
Don’t waste your money with this bunch of no marks. I bought bag sent wrong colour and still trying to get a replacement. It’s hilarious because trying to return is like removing chewing gum from the cat! No doubt a little shack in china is mass producing knock offs for these retailers and returning is a no no!
Do not buy from this company!
Do not buy from this company!
I can only reiterate what previous reviews have said. The bag is rubbish, the company is not based in the UK and all returns need to be sent back to China. A total scam.
SCAM IMPOSSIBLE RETURNS!!!
Unfortunately I have bought a bag from these scammers before reading the reviews. Everything that is saod in the comments is 100% true. Its impossible to get a refund and the bags are cheap crap. You would be better buying from a local market stall selling knock offs. This type of Company needs shutting down as they are ripping people off. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Terrible customer service and returns…
Terrible customer service and returns are made more difficult than it should be. A total and utter scam.
Products are cheap and narrrrrsty. I wish I’d checked TP beforehand.
No chance of refunds
I returned all the goods I bought back to China on 22/07/25 and they are still sat in customs and I doubt that they will ever get back to the so called retailer Aurora bags. They say happy to refund once goods are received, but they know they won't actually be received, so they can avoid giving refunds. This company is an absolute scam I'm amazed they are allowed to trade. AVOID.
All goods are sent direct from China, they are not a UK company and certainly have no physical store or address in Manchester like they say they have. I am hoping Barclaycard can refund me, fingers crossed.
Aurora Isla Tote (Birkin 30 knock-off)
The Aurora bags Isla Tote; the Birkin 30 knock-offs, I got 4 in; Cream, Tan, Black and Red, aren't very convincing. The handles didn't stay well shaped at all. The packaging was terrible, no box just wrapped in plastic, and sent internationally from China. With that the handles were very bent out of shape and the bags in fact weren't well protected in transit.
DON'T DO IT......
DON'T DO IT....... I placed an order for a handbag via this website, before doing so I checked the website to try and find where it was coming from, it said free UK delivery so I went ahead and ordered, received a dispatch confirmation which I noticed a couple of hours after ordering, tracking for a Chinese carrier and sent a an email immediately to say I wasn't aware it was coming from China so wanted to cancel, especially as the website states returns must be to the address specified and postage costs to be paid by the purchaser, needless to say, when I eventually received a reply, the item was on it's way.
When the handbag arrived, the quality wasn't as expected(looks like pleather, plastic looking gold on strap, also concerningly, there was a cut in the courier bag that wasn't even covered up by the delivery label ) so Immediately emailed again and said I wanted to return the item, the response was that I had 14 days to return(website says 30) or I could have a partial refund. I replied that I would like to return the item to a UK address as the website was misleading. I have not received another response and it was quite by chance I noticed the attached returns form at the top of the email, which I completed (asks for some unavailable information),
as I was going to send the item back but have decided to take it further via PayPal, and am currently awaiting a response from what I assume is the parent company(if it is actually such a thing). Do yourself a favour and avoid all this, I should have trusted my instincts but the website read as if the items would be dispatched from the UK. I have raised a dispute with PayPal.
Delay in my order
I wish I had read the reviews on trustpilot about this Company before placing my order for a bag. I placed my order on the 21-08-25, every time I track my order with Yun Express it just keeps saying processing, this has been going on now since the 21-08-25. They send me emails saying thank you for your patience and for goodwill gesture here is 20% of your next purchase. I would definitely not recommend this company.
Impossible returns
One product ordered was unavailable, the other did not have the expected finish. Delivery was very late, customer service takes 4 days to respond, the returns process completely unsatisfactory and impossible which has led to me giving the new bag to a charity shop, instead of paying the fee to return it to China and get what would remain of the refund. I have bought an Aurora bag a few years ago, this brand is no longer the small curated business that the home page would lead you to believe.
Do not give this company any money.
Do not give this company any money.
They pretend they have a store in Manchester they haven't, I live here.
They promise good craftsmanship, and real leather quality bags, they definitely do not.
They drop ship, which means they send your order off to China, and then you are chasing them for a delivery date, then when you get your item which in my case I spent £56 pounds on, not only do they send me a small bag, they send me a cheap looking plastic bag that I wouldn't spend any money for it atall. I tried to cancel my order a couple of times, before the item had actually been shipped, but they ignored that request. Now they know my item has arrived funnily enough they're now ignoring my emails.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!! All on their site is lies - not UK brand, they use other bussiness/influencers photos that aren’t theirs to use, fake info on reviews, incorrect information on site that contradicts itself, they don’t have tens of thousands happy customers - their IG page has less than 400 followers. Once you approach them with it then they don’t reply. Not to mention that products are sent from China rather than UK. AVOID!! They’ll take your money and then will cut all contact with you. No product and no refund.
Misleading in so many ways
Misleading all the way. The goods are shipped from the far east which is not made clear at time of order or on the website. I try to buy local so this was very disappointing.
I contacted customer service twice and got no reply.
Delivery times quoted are completely fictitious! Took 3 weeks.
They also describe everything as leather - but don't clarify it is actualy fake leather.
Stay away
Do not use this company they are not who they seem. There is no "boutique" in Manchester it comes from China if you ever get it. My order has been processing for 7 day now. Luckily I paid by credit card so they are disputing the payment. Otherwise I fear I would have wasted nearly £60. I hope this review stops someone else from making the mistake I did
This is a cheating website
This is a cheating website. Don't buy anything from this website.
Dishonest website selling from China, NOT the UK
I ordered a bags from Aurora-bags.com based on their claims that the products were handmade in Italy and sold by a UK-based shop in Manchester. The website was full of UK branding which gave the impression of a legitimate British company selling high-quality Italian goods.
Shortly after placing the order, I received a shipping notice stating that the items were coming from China — something that was never mentioned during the shopping process. I contacted the company immediately to cancel the order, citing misrepresentation, but they refused.
This business is not transparent, and based on my experience and what others have reported, I believe they are intentionally misleading UK consumers into thinking they’re buying premium Italian-made goods from a trusted UK seller, when in fact it's likely low-cost drop-shipped products from China.
I have been disputing this purchase for months, quoting UK consumer law but the company are not interested. They offered me a 30%, good will refund on a bag which cost £69 GBP. I have refused and have told them I will contact my bank.ENSURE YOU PAY BY UK CREDIT CARD, if you really want to order from these, to protect your money.
My purchase still hasn't arrived, 14 days after I ordered it.
Not sure if it will ever arrive! AVOID THIS FAKE COMPANY!
They are very slow in processing refunds …
They are very slow in replying to emails and processing refunds. I am still waiting after a month and I even know people who never received their refunds, despite that they sent the items back in a great condition. Hopefully I will get mine, but as of now I am not that sure.
