Fantastic opportunity to have support and live an independent life as you get older. Amazing services and facilities.
Jenny at Audley St Elphins in Matlock could not have been more helpful on our recent visit for my mum. Such a positive visit and certainly one we are likely to take up in due course.Feel lucky to have one so close by.

The Sales Manager was excellent. Thorough, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining Audrey independent living experience at Scarcroft. It’s in a delightful setting and we are likely to move there when the time is right for us. It offers so much.

My wife and I visited Audley Scarcroft…
My wife and I visited Audley Scarcroft on 23/03/25. It was a sunny afternoon. Signage for parking and direction as to where to go were limited but people in the grounds were very helpful.
We met up with Louse who was very friendly and courteous throughout our visit. She was able to answer all our queries very comprehensively.
We have lived in Scarcroft for 50 years and were amazed how much of the site had been developed but hidden from the main road. The layout of the properties was good, no appearance of overcrowding and many with extensive countryside views.
The properties viewed were very attractive, modern and good design. The restaurant was impressive as was the private dining room. The other public rooms were up to a similar standard as was the patio/BBQ area. I particularly found the gym and swimming pool very interesting.
The village is a very attractive development. The standard of decorations and furnishings was first class. In the short term we aim to visit the restaurant to sample its food. We have heard good reports.

The facilities were excellent and the apartments and cottages were of a good standard. Personally we would have liked a larger property. Loved that the facilities allowed a pet dog and the surrounding land was well maintained.

Very attractive development
Shiplake Meadows is only just coming into operation, with only three properties in occupation at the moment but it's well landscaped and planted and will only look better as plants grow and residents add their own adornments. We were very impressed by the quality of the finish of individual properties and communal areas. There's clearly a high financial investment in moving into such a high quality development but we think it will be well worth it. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff we met and the plans for resident services and integration with the wider community.

A very positive experience
A very positive experience. Tony did a first-class job of showing us around, telling us what was on offer and explaining the pros and cons and leaving us with plenty of paperwork! It was an exploratory visit since we are considering our options on down-sizing.
My experience is limited but I do not believe you could find a better company in this field. The apartments and communal areas were to a high standard and the setting was lovely too. We were very impressed, they have thought of everything.
Sadly we have decided that the move is not for us at the moment. The apartments available were too much of a downsize and our current situation/location/garden/hobbies make it not an option at the moment. However, it is definitely for serious consideration in the future and we think we have found the best in Audley. Thank you.
