If I could rate worse I would

If I could rate worse I would! Such a let down. We sent back our audio guest book after the wedding and then silence. Weeks later they admitted that the audio files are there but refuse to complete our order or sell us the phone back to retrieve our precious memories. The owner Chris Boyd is terrible human and I don't know how the family who ran the business sleep at night knowing they've ruined so many peoples special days. The fact that they could fulfil the orders but choose not says everything about the kind of people they are.

Awful

UPDATE

Scammers

Purchased their services october 2022 for Oct 2023 no contact from them days before my wedding I request to see where to the phone is and I find out they've gone bust. No prior warning. I contacted them to get to speak to the delightful person behind the company who may I add is an absolute **** for them to say 'it's not their problem' currently £150 down, no guestbook and on maternity pay with a new born. Pathetic excuse of a company the whole thing seems to be a scam looking at other reviews. Bank won't reimburse either as their companies house info doesn't reflect they have gone bust.

Got my money back through my bank, and also found an incredible provider of the same service called Odd Audio Guestbook- better value and super helpful! They sent a phone the very next day

Has this company gone bust?

What was the notice on their website?

I still have my audio phone from my wedding in July and have contact numerous times to get an address to send it back to receive my file but I haven't been able to get it back!

I have whatsapped, emailed and nothing! Still have the phone in my house!

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking! Our audio came “damaged” although the box was not damaged ! Gutted it was the only guest book received from our wedding and it didn’t work. Absolutely waste of money

We’re heartbroken…

My wife and I got married on the 7th June 2023. We had high hopes for the company. They responded quickly; seemed to have decent reviews at the time, and sent the phone device promptly. Everything was grand, once the wedding was over we sent the phone back immediately. I was hoping it would be the first wedding related item we’d receive back, as photos and videography tend to take a couple of months. My wife enquired, as we’d heard nothing from them. They’d explained an illness in the family, which we empathised with. We remained patient, until they never got back to my wife again. It was only on trustpilot when red flags appeared. We’ve just seen the notice on their website. We’re so heartbroken, myself especially. I messaged the WhatsApp number, they’ve been nothing but rude and dismissive. I asked if we were likely to receive either the files or a refund from the liquidators, to which they replied “likely neither”. It’s not about the monetary loss, I’m a sentimental soul. I’m absolutely gutted they’ve stolen some priceless memories.

Get your money back through the bank.

I have written a previous review below but it is the same old story as everyone else. If you have been scammed by these people please make sure that you:

- Contact Citizen’s Advice (they will report the company trading standards for you and will give you a letter to have delivered to the company address)
- File a dispute with your bank (doesn’t matter if you have paid through credit card or on a normal debit card) and get the transaction reversed. They will require proof that you have not received your item.

They have breached their contract with you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

I got my £150 back by going through my bank. It literally took a couple of days. You’re entitled to it back, regardless of their personal circumstances.

Heartbroken at our lost audio

Like so many others we are absolutely heartbroken over losing our audio from our wedding in July.

I contacted the company and was sympathetic when I heard their news and told them I was willing to wait as long as it took for our audio and sent my well wishes but obviously as the audio was so sentimental I was a little worried about losing it.

I received communication to say the company had gone into liquidation but they were still working on retrieving the audio files, I asked if there was any way I could retrieve it from the phone myself but unfortunately this wasn't possible. They said they couldn't give me a timeframe but were working on it in the background.

I left it around a month before asking for any update and have asked again recently and received no reply, so my hopes have now dwindled but I do still hold some hope and I'm just praying it's taking some time but we will eventually get our audio. I would just like to know either way so I can stop hanging my hopes on it, but sadly I am no longer getting any response from the company. I will update if I do hear anything back.

I do sympathise with the people who have been going through a difficult time but I just hope they find the time to get back to us and at least let us know what is happing and I am just praying they will reunite us with our audio when they can.

After several bad reviews and no audio…

After several bad reviews and no audio guest books turning up , repeated attempts to conatct with no response we've found an altwrnative for our wedding on 30th Sept - The Telephone guestbook based on research and other reviews £149 i would have rather set light too! Cannot believe still online! Absolutley sham! Gave several attempts to reposnd before writing this......Nothing!

We found an alternative...

This company never sent us our guest book and we lost £150, but to all others who have been stitched up too we cannot recommend Odd Audio Guest Book highly enough. They saved our bacon four days before our wedding when we realised AudioKeeps weren't legit - we had an audio phone with us within 48hrs, had the recordings transferred back within days of the event, AND they were cheaper! You can't get back the money you've lost, but you can book with Odd Audio and still get the magic you were hoping for!

Worst company i’ve ever come across

Worst company i’ve ever come across. Booked in Jan 2023 for my wedding in May 2023, was sent out the guestbook as expected and sent back immediately after my wedding and never received anything back. I only found out through a google search that the company has shut down. I messaged on whatsapp multiple times with no response until today where instead of being apologetic the owner has been arguing back and forth and actually told me to shut up. I understand they have had a personal grievance but this is no way to treat customers. I genuinely hope they never open a business again and I’ve now accepted i will never get my audio keepsake from my wedding which is extremely upsetting

Has clearly ripped of so many couples for audio guestbook services, us included.

This is such a tricky review to write……

This is such a tricky review to write… I’m sure we’re not the only people who feel very emotional about the sentiment behind the audio guestbook, and we chose it because I lost a very close family member to cancer whilst we were planning the wedding, and while video captures people, it doesn’t quite capture the raw, real sound of their voice.

Anyone who has been through the process of grief will understand that when you do lose people you love, you’d do almost anything to hear them on the other end of the phone again. Enter audio keeps, one of the key parts of our big day.

We wanted to capture the cheekiness and mischievous sound of all our friends and family and be able to treasure the sound of their voices accidentally ordering taxis, telling us how drunk they were, or how much they fancied another guest. Moments that you truly can’t ever recreate.

We sent our phone back to audio keeps immediately after our wedding, receiving confirmation that it had been signed for and received on 25th July by ‘Boyd’. Unfortunately, despite numerous calls, emails and pleas to audio keeps - we’ve been met with a wall of silence. A very similar experience to everyone else on here.

I think it’s fair to say that we’ve expressed empathy throughout the process regarding your personal circumstances, however we are frankly feeling desperate and hugely disappointed.

I understand that new customers won’t be possible, but please, please do the decent thing and send people who have paid for this service what they deserve - the memories that they hoped to treasure for the rest of their lives. Even if you don’t have the capacity to pull the audio from the phones, at least offer the chance for people to have the phones back and retrieve the messages themselves.

As an aside and person to person, we hope that you are all doing OK in these very difficult circumstances.

We hope that one day very soon we’ll be provided with the service we paid for but moreover, the memories that we won’t ever be able to retrieve without these messages. Finally; please remember that behind every booking you receive are two people who could be grieving or experiencing loss, just as you have described of your own circumstances.

We used this service for our wedding on…

We used this service for our wedding on Saturday the 10th of June, the phone arrived - no voice message was left to let our guests know what to do - partly our fault, but considering we ordered the phone some 3 to 4 months prior to the day, a reminder advising us to leave a message would have been kind, but anyway.

The date today is Saturday the 2nd of September and we have had no correspondence from them, email, called, WhatsApped, all dead.

I have came on here and found their address and have now offered to collect the item in person.

I will wait a response from the company and then look at the next steps.

Horrendous company

Horrendous company. Same issues as everyone else. Our wedding is on Sunday and the phone was meant to be shipped yesterday. We received no notification it had been dispatched and have emailed multiple times, Whatsapped and tried calling. It was only after I Whatsapped them a link to this site that they sent me a generic message saying they have appointed insolvency practitioners. Extremely unprofessional company all round. Not even a sorry.

Never turned up

Never turned up. Ordered on 5th Feb 2023 for our wedding this coming Saturday. It was supposed to arrive yesterday and didn’t and then I rang and rang to no answer. I finally got through to them via WhatsApp, confirming the closure of their business. They said: We have appointed a registered insolvency practitioner who will be in contact by post.

Please avoid doing anything that will cost you more money.

Same story ….

Same story ….. no response no way of contact! How you can do this to so many people on one of the biggest days of their lives is beyond me. These people have no shame stealing money from everyone. Now we are down 150 pound and had to fork out for another phone!! Just so sad. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Same story as everyone else

Same story as everyone else. Paid our £150 last year and then on approach to our wedding (5th August) got ghosted by them despite attempts to contact via email, whatsapp and telephone. Am very thankful we're not like some of the poor bride and grooms who have lost their memories, but I will be pursuing to get a refund for my lost money for sure. Terrible service. I understand from other reviews that there might be some personal circumstances - although I sympathise that is absolutely no excuse and no way to run a company.
