We already rent since 22 years a car here. We never had problems. Always good cars.

We'd previously used these guys back in 2017 and so decided to use them again for a trip to Crete in May 2024, with a 7-day hire pre-booked from Chania Airport. I like the fact that they offer full insurance with no hidden costs. Our flight was an hour late into Chania, but when we arrived their member of staff was there to meet us at Arrivals, so we appreciated him waiting. From there he drove us in our hire car to their compound which is a couple of minutes drive from the airport to complete the paperwork. There was no pushy sales for any extra insurance, and we found their staff member to be friendly and welcoming. The car was a Nissan Note - it certainly wasn't a new car, and had clearly done it's share of miles, but we found it to be fine for our needs, and everything worked ok (most importantly the air con!). Return of the car was easy - drive it to the compound, then one of their staff gave us a lift to the airport. Their fuel policy is to return the car with the same amount of fuel - I do find this a pain and would prefer full to full. Overall, a good experience.

Last year we got a really old car which was not working anymore and it took hours to repair it. After these hours of waiting and asking for a new car we got one, but it was not nice handled.

Great local rental cars and very polite stuff. I recommend it totally. We have hired the car 10 days in Chania Airport, everything was great. I will come back with these guys.

Reasonable price. Did not have to pay up front and didnt need a credit card to pay on arrival with no deposit. Clear rules and procedure. We experienced minor damages during our stay and we sent pictures to the email provided and were not charged for them. We got picked up from the airport and then dropped off as well. Overall very pleased with the service of AthensCars and would recommend to anyone in the future.

They drove out to pick us up in Chania to save us the stress of driving in the town. Very professional and helpful staff. Great rates. At drop off it couldn't have been more straight forward. If you can't find their office at Heraklion airport, ask around. People will help you.

Excellent car hire. Have used for a number of years and very reliable. Compound situated less that 1km outside airport but they include a meet and greet service and drive you to your rental car.

Just my flight company changed the flight time
to 1 day earlier, and i got just 10€ back instead of 30€ that i have paid for the day which i was not using.

I strongly recommend AthensCars. It is extremely easy to book a car with reasonable prices which also includes full insurance and no credit card is needed (no deposit): they are really the best and the cheapest! Car wasn't the newest one, but everything worked: the car was clean and in perfect condition. The staff is very friendly and competent. Mr Mavrakis and his team really deserve the positive reviews and the compliments from us and the rest of the loyal clients. We were really impressed with Athens Cars. They were waiting at the airport for us and took us to their office a short distance from the airport to complete the paperwork and were really friendly and efficient. We had no problems with the car (we hired it for 3 weeks) and we felt they offered a really good value for money service. When we returned the car the friendly service continued- there were no issues and they took us back to the airport without delay. We would not hesitate to recommend them and would use them again.

We’ve been renting from Athenscars for more than 15 years, picking up the cars from Heraklion airport. Rental prices are competitive and the staff are always helpful and professional. We strongly recommend their service.

For several years I rented a car by Athens Cars in Crete. They were always present at the airport Heraklion and transported our luggage to the parkingplace. There were never problems. I advice everybody to rent a car there.
