Despite an active policy and explicit coverage for mechanical/electrical failures starting from the second year, Assurant continues to refuse opening the claim using pretextual justifications. The manufacturer (Apple) has confirmed that the warranty has expired, Amazon refers back to the manufacturer, and Assurant redirects again to Amazon, creating an endless runaround that effectively nullifies any customer protection.
All requested documentation was provided multiple times, including official communications from Apple and Amazon confirming their inability to proceed under warranty. Nevertheless, the case is not taken in charge.
Inefficient customer service, standardized responses, no real support, and a complete mismatch with the contractual terms agreed upon.
In practice, a useless policy.
Not recommended.

I have paid for insurance through spectrum for 10 years and the first time I tried to use it on my iphone 16 pro max which crashed for no reason, they sent a replacement phone that was "stolen/lost" and unable to be activated. The replacement for that phone took 4 days to come in and was also unable to be activated because it had a "block" on it. I will be cancelling my mobile insurance through spectrum if this is who they continue to use as a replacement provider.

Lack of communication, being told different things from different people. Logged a claim on Thursday 11th of December online, called them on the Friday to chase things up as I’ve not received an email to say that have received my claim. I was then sent an email to send proof of purchase and usage which I have, I was told it would take 1 working day and seeing as they work over the weekend they class them as working days. I’ve been told my numerous other people over the phone all different time scales. 3 people said I would hear back today but nothing, spoke to someone today and they told me it could be Thursday by the time anyone gets it touch with me. Absolute shambles. Claim ID is 55173224. Hoping this review will help other people out.

My husband lost his phone on 3rd December and logged a claim that evening when we were not able to find our phone.
They asked us to provide proof of purchase and proof of usage documents which we gave them on 8th December Monday. They assured us that we will hear back within three working days.
AFter 3 days they said send the proof of usage again and said once we receive it we will be in touch in 1 working day. We immediately submitted the document.
it has been 3 working days since this happened and no reponse or update on this and we tried calling them twice but they said its in process its in review.
it has been 9 days since the claim has been made still hasn't got anything. My husband don't have any extra phone and we are stressed because of this.
Update: 15th dec
They have again asked for proof of usage which was sent twice before and 3rd time they have asked us to send original documents.

Do not use any bank accounts that use Aasurant. They use cheap far east parts. Checked in with apple as my screen kept going dark upon receiving phone calls. I cross checked with apple support, even sent in the evidence to Assurant and they have still dismissed it. Jeez these guys know more than apple… who would’ve thought!
Complaints have wiped their hands clean with my complaint even though the phone is clearly not functioning! I will now be raising a charge back against these crooks!

After making the tough decision to withdraw my iPhone lost claim # 55151004 due to excessive delays over a month of pointless questions, Now I have been waiting nearly a week for confirmation about it's closed. Only automated emails and out-of-office replies are all I get. It shouldn't take five days to confirm a simple withdrawal request. Terrible customer service and total lack of follow-up..

I have mobile phone cover through Lloyds bank. They asked me to send the mobile via the postoffice with DPD. DPD have lost my sons phone. 4 weeks on, still no phone back, i have to chase for updates as i hear nothing from Assurant. Absolutely shocking customer service. Cant give me a time scale as they are waiting for DPD!!!! Disgusting. Avoid this company at all cost.

I have told you already you expected me to drive a dangerous car to one of your garages and I would not , you also would not pay out on the suspension despite it being on my parts list, you knew the car was 10 years old and you gave the warranty on it still , just look at the ratings your getting on here , 1.6 stars average, that says it all about how terrible you are

I have an insurance on halifax and I have made a claim through to insurace company for a broken front screen on I phone 13 pro and we have received back an iPhone SE,we have contacted the inaurace and they have mention that they have received an I phone Se and not an I phone 13 pro even if we have received the Device return form from them that states that imei number that we have made the claim is an iPhone 13 pro they still absolutely ridiculous and not recognised that is a mistake on their side
Și I will never ever recommend them and kalifax should check is well as as probably are thousands af people in this situation and ghet foolish by isurace providing company

Very slow to respond and update. Very disappointed with their customer service.
It took 3.5 weeks for my claim to be approved and phone sent out. I've used this company through Monzo insurance for 5 years without luckily ever having to claim. But when my phone was stolen, the claim was not dealt with in a timely manner, despite claiming the day of the incident, included a lot of detail, police report number etc with the aim to avoid any back and forth.
Each time I tried to contact, I either couldn't get through or they were still assessing my claim and then it said the phone wasn't in stock.

Lost my phone and assurant contacted me on the lost phone number when I don’t have a phone and don’t have the replacement sim .Instead of calling on the number,or email i mentioned in the claim.and without contacting me ,they proceeded with a cash settlement which is utterly non sense.this is my first claim and I have been paying for this rubbish insurance for years. I am left with ‘find a phone myself’ with an amount which won’t buy you anything.totally rubbish insurance , service and communication.I have filed a formal complaint with my bank as this is totally unacceptable.

Your Protect your bubble insurance by Assurant is a JOKE !! 1 YEAR after purchasing an SLR camera and lens through Amazon in November 2024, I opted for the insurance that offers a no quibble repair, replace or fix solution for any reason. I have contacted the company numerous times and have been met with rude unprofessional staff who tell me "if you dont hear from us then your claim has been rejected"?? and to call them back !
How can a no quibble insurance fail? The camer lens was damaged and I sent through images to show this and was told it would be sorted asap, 1 year later no further forward. I will be seeking legal advise, and will contact the FCA..... stay away at all costs !!!

Not the best experience at all taken nearly 6 weeks to sort out. I've had to take a settlement fee less than what I had insured all because people do not listen. Sent me a reference quote that didn't match the device i had insured, I pointed this out multiple times that the specs did not match and noone was interested, not sure why I paid for the insurance as I'm now out of pocket as I was offer 72% of the claim total. All in all, absolutely atrocious service, and customer service did not listen, and neither did the manager. I don't expect a reply to this either, but people should be aware.

Car went in for a repair, the garage damaged the car and as a result the warranty company refused to honour the repair. Gave them photo evidence of the damaged cause by the garage.
They will do anything in their power to not pay for the repair.
Garage gave a quote for the repair then denied giving the quote. If I ever get warranty on a vehicle again I will not go with these con artists.

My phone isn't in stock so they have made zero contact with me,I have email twice and called numerous times. Every time they just say I need to wait another 1-3 days but nothing gets done. Surely if they don't have my phone on stock they have similar or newer alternatives to offer. Struggling with out my phone

Terrible experience. My phone was declared unrepairable, yet Assurant kept giving me wrong information, broken promises and faulty replacements. I waited at home multiple times for deliveries and collections that never happened, and even received a replacement phone that did not work.
I have spent almost two weeks without a phone and have been told to keep calling them just to “double check” they are doing their job. Completely unacceptable service.
I have requested a refund of my excess fee and compensation. I would not recommend Assurant at all.

This is the insurer Halifax rests its reputation on to provide mobile phone insurance. FYI, you will be without a phone for at least two weeks. They don't refund loss and only provide a replacement, after an investigative grilling. They simply don't care. Don't waste your time complaining. Just simply choose another phone insurer. Assurant is the lowest of the low. Stay clear.

Supposedly repaired my iPhone 16. The back of it phone was smashed, replaced back of phone and a supposed new battery which is now running at 87% !!! Phone is only 6 months old. Awful service. When you complain they want you to return phone, which I’m reluctant to do as it took over 2 weeks to be returned the first time. Avoid
