Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 49 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, noting that items often did not match the descriptions or images on the website. Customers frequently mentioned poor quality, with products feeling cheap, made from different materials than advertised, and lacking proper branding or labels. Reviewers also found the sizing to be inaccurate and inconsistent with standard measurements. A significant number of people also reported issues with the refund process, stating that the company was reluctant to provide full refunds and often offered partial refunds or required customers to return items to international locations at their own expense, which sometimes exceeded the product's value. The website itself was also a point of contention, with some feeling it was misleading about the company's true location and the origin of its products.

Just don't.

Sorry to report but I believe this to be a fraudulent company. My father bought a pair of shoes for $100 and it was never received. When he reached out numerous times they either don't respond or reply using delaying tactics in their response. Companies like this really annoy me because of how they take advantage of people. Please don't shop from them.

Buyer beware not in Melbourne & NOT WOOL

Bought a turtleneck advertised as soft virgin wool it turns out it's 100% polyester. The company would not budge. I had to return it to the Netherlands! What's the Melbourne part? I am in Australia that's why I purchased. They are fakesters, and telling lies about their products. Do not buy from these people.

PLEASE do not buy from this fraud…

PLEASE do not buy from this fraud business. It is Chinese and professes to be based in Melbourne. The quality of the clothing is appalling and forget the refund option - there is none unless you want to return to China at your cost OR get a 25% credit. Took them to consumer protection and despite a great effort by the department, they could get no assistance at all.

Scam

I ordered some pants which arrives far too small compared to what was advertised. When they finally responded to my request for a refund or exchange they are offering me a 15% discount. Even after I keep requesting a return they simply respond with an offer of an 20% discount.. do I have to do this another 16 times?? Absolutely hopeless!

Ordered a men’s jacket in November for Christmas present. Jacket finally arrived but far too small. After contacting Armoire, I finally received an email stating they wanted payment details which I immediately sent to them. Did not hear back from them so contacted again. They finally replied saying I needed to return the jacket to China (their business) together with shipment details. Have been waiting a few weeks and finally they replied stating they did not have any transaction on their books with my email address. Have sent information again, but not holding my breath.
Unfortunately I did not read reviews before hand which will never happen again

Never use Armoire Melbourne- 2 dresses…

Never use Armoire Melbourne- 2 dresses I purchased were the wrong size and shoddy fabric.Sent pictures of problems. They are based in China not Melbourne. I returned the dresses to their Melbourne address that they were delivered from but they then said I should return them to a China address. It was too late as I’d sent them. Whoever is in Melbourne being their agent would have received them. I still received no refund. Several emails later - they don’t reply to many of them - no resolution. They are Scammers. They shouldn’t put a Melbourne name on their company if they are from China. False advertising. If I’d known they were Chinese I would never have bought from them. Also I have just read that other people have been caught in the same trap. I want to add my voice to the complaints and warn everyone else off buying from this company.

Armoire Melbourne's promise is "Your…

Armoire Melbourne's promise is "Your satisfaction is our priority. Our dedicated customer service team is ready to assist with any questions or comments you may have. We aim to make your shopping experience unforgettable."
Well, they certainly did that! I purchased beautiful pyjamas but their Large were too small for me so I emailed and asked how I go about exchanging them for a size larger.

They offered to let me keep them at a 25% refund (which I will take up and hope that I either lose weight or I can gift them to a friend) or I could return them to their warehouse in CHINA at my own expense. They then suggested that this would probably be more than the value of the pyjamas.
So be warned, prospective buyers from this company!!

NEVER SHOP HERE

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Armoire Melbourne, and I feel compelled to warn others about their appalling customer service. Here is a detailed account of what happened:

I purchased a pair of shoes for $70, which I needed urgently for my teaching job where I stand for eight hours a day. Unfortunately, the shoes arrived late and were the wrong size, despite me ordering my usual size. I reached out to their customer support to request a refund.

Their solution? I had to pay an additional $40 out of pocket to ship the shoes back to their warehouse in China—bringing my total cost to over $110 for a product I couldn’t even use. Despite following their instructions, providing proof of the return, and repeatedly emailing them, I never received my refund.

Here’s what makes this situation even worse:
• I have contacted Armoire Melbourne over 7 times via email.
• Their responses were often delayed or completely ignored until I followed up multiple times.
• When they did respond, it was usually an automated message or a request for information I had already provided—forcing me to re-explain everything repeatedly.
• I sent proof of the return slip and tracking details, yet they continued to stall and fail to issue the refund they promised.

It has now been over two months since I returned the product, and I still have not received my money back. This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates shocking disregard for customer satisfaction.

I intend to report this business to Australia’s consumer protection authorities and share my experience wherever I can so that others don’t fall victim to their deceitful practices.

If you’re considering purchasing from Armoire Melbourne, think twice. Their policies are misleading, their communication is frustratingly unprofessional, and their promises mean nothing. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.

Would only give 1 star due to no lower option ordered a dress way too small measurements did not match what I ordered and what was advertised. They would not refund money for product only option was exchange. Photos of garment advertised did not look like garment/fabric that was delivered. I argued back and forth could not get refunded. PayPal would nit refund as 28 day’s passed due to going back and forth with Amoire Melbourne frustrating left with a dress I cannot wear. They are based in China not Melbourne. If I returned item I would have to pay for postage I showed proof size was not correct.

Ordered a Panama hat

Ordered a Panama hat, supposedly hand made by artisans in Ecuador from finest toquilla straw.
What I got was a hat made in China from paper.
As far as returns go there are other reviews of items being returned and no refund ever being received.
So stuck with a cheap hat.
Do not trust this business.

DON’T DON’T DON’T

THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SITE.
It is NOT a Melbourne company. I purchased a dress, at an inflated price, believing it was from Melbourne & all would be above board.
The dress was cut differently to the one pictured & the fabric was inferior.
After a number of emails, I got an address to return it to in China, which cost me $20 Aus Post.
I followed the tracking & it has now been sitting in China for a number of weeks. After a number of emails & little response. I have now been told it is subject to an $18 AUD tax payment. For what I don’t know & that the company do not accept returns on parcels subject to a tax payment,
I’m furious & disgusted at this company & annoyed at myself for not reading the reviews before purchasing. I have blown $90 all up & could have purchased the same item for around $20, from Shien.
