Hello. We're Arma Karma an insurtech (insurance + tech) set on doing things differently. Our mission is to bring some 'Good' to the dull and unethical world of insurance. We have designed our possession-based insurance, and the company, to stand out from the crowd, so how are we different? The answer is simple; YOU get to choose what's protected. Your items are protected anywhere at home and even abroad! Our insurance is on a subscription basis, amend and cancel anytime with no hidden fees. What's even better is that with every subscription we donate 25% of our revenue and YOU can choose which charity it goes to! To find out more head to our website: http://armakarma.insure

Laptop insurance.
We needed laptop insurance for our daughter to be able to take her laptop to sixth form. Not many insurers let you insure devices over six months old, this insurance does which is great.

All well and good until you actually try to claim on your insurance!!! My phone randomly died, just got hot and went black with no warning. First of all Arma made me pay THEM £50, then they told me to post my phone to them, which cost me another £10. It arrived a couple days ago but the site still says no one has started working on it yet. I tried to call them within their working hours (Sat @ 10am) and no one is there - the line just beeps. Email responses are just automatic, and the help chat is also offline. I am without a phone, I have no idea when I will get a new phone, they haven’t offered me any sort of replacement while they mess about with my current phone AND I can’t get hold of them at all!!!! I do NOT recommend this insurance, extremely poor customer service. Spent £60 just to be messed about. AVOID.

The website was easy to follow and very informative. The schedule came through on my email within 10mins. I am very pleased that I can pay monthly for my insurance. The insurance amount and excess is very reasonable.

All in cover for expensive spectacles.
Wanted insurance for my very expensive new glasses and up came Arma Karma. Application process straightforward, although a little disappointed at the monthly premium, but I would hate to have to try and replace them myself

Good price compared to other firms.
OK until you need to make a claim
OK until you need to make a claim. They will drag it on for months and In the end you will be lucky if you get a settlement appropriate for the device.

My phone was damaged in MAY (it's now September) and my phone isn't any closer to being fixed.
The response time from the team is poor and it can be weeks of waiting until your receive a response. I finally got to the point where they asked me to pay my excess which I did, and then it was 3 weeks before I heard back from them. Now they want me to pay for delivery of the phone to their inspection centre instead of collecting or sending a delivery kit. Saying I'm unimpressed is an understatement
