DO NOT USE

This company have had my money since June, I cannot contact them via email as they are ignoring my messages and no one on the phone will speak to me as it is not their department - the amount they owe is £580 and I have no way of getting the money

Terrible unresponsive company, collect the debtors payment and does not send the payment on to creditors. Currently looking at exploring the option of paying for a Winding up partition to be put in place.

Beware of this company!!!!

Hi Everyone
The reviews are saying correctly. Please beware of this company as they kept my recovered funds from the debtor who paid them on 07/11/2024 and when I chased them despite several emails they said that the debtor can dispute hence holding period is 90days. Now after 90days they said that the debtor has disputed however debtor told and provided the evidence to court that they had already paid to this company and never disputed this payment. Totally scam hence their these activities fall into the civil and criminal litigation categories.

Are these even legally a business?

Haven't used these guys in over a year. (Wouldn't use them again anyway as they didn't get our debt and their attempt were very poor)
A year later we get a "Cancellation invoice"
I have no idea what im cancelling and I forgot this company even existed.
Save all your time and troubles and avoid like the plague. Good Trustpilot score guys, you are clearly doing something correct..

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! SCAM
DO NOT USE!! Absolute scam company and do not pay you back money which has been paid! Avoid at all costs!
Taken the company through small claims. They never turned up to mediation or to court concerning the amount owed and the judge laughed at their defence the case should be dismissed as per the T&Cs as if I was never expect the funds ever to be received back to myself. Legal costs and interest added to to the costs originally owed with yet another CCJ against Robert Logan totalling nearly c£30k. Next AYOM will be lodged with a charging order/ County Court Bailiff

Avoid this company like the plague

This company has received my debt on the 25th May 2025. I am chasing for them to now pay me my money but they are not replying to my emails and now customer services are ending my calls. They are not fca registered and it seems they are investing our money in other things. I am in the process of submitting their details to ' live case targeting' and a debt collecting company. I'm also making companies house aware of their fraudulent activities. If we all getogether, we should make video's on these crooks abd post it world wide. We're cracking down on you scum bags!

Avoid this company at all costs!!

Avoid this company at all costs. I instructed Are You Owed Money Ltd to collect a debt in 2020, and it has been a stressful and drawn-out experience ever since. They withheld payments for over two years without telling me they had already been receiving money from the debtor. I only found out when I contacted another debt collection agency, who discovered payments were being made.

Since then, every payment I’ve received has only come after repeated emails and phone calls. They eventually closed the case without warning, provided no breakdown of what they had collected or their charges, and ignored my requests for information.

Their fees are excessive, their communication is poor, and their conduct has been deeply unprofessional. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience – avoid this company.
They collected payments from our clients without notifying us, and we only found out because a few clients reached out directly to confirm they had paid. It’s now been three years, and I’m still chasing them to transfer the funds owed to us.
There is no phone number to contact the relevant department. communication is only via email, and they rarely respond.
Additionally, their customer service has been consistently unhelpful and, at times, outright rude.

DO NOT USE. This company is a SCAM!
We have been waiting nearly 4 months for AYOM to pay the money they have claimed for us. I know the person we were seeking money back from has paid AYOM in full as the company told us and assured us we would get the money back after the 60 day handling period.
It has now been nearly 4 months - they don’t answer the phone, they don’t reply to emails or written letters, absolutely disgraceful.
I am a full time carer for my husband who has last stage dementia and the money we sought to get back was to be used towards my husband’s end of life care.
To be desperately trying to get our rightfully owed funds back from a debt collection agency, is just outright disgusting and shamefully ironic.
Again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Worst company ever, maybe?

Asked them to retrieve a debt on my behalf 2 years ago, it wasnt until the debtor came back to me and asked for further work completed that i realised the debt had actually been paid as there was no contact from them to say the debt had been collected.
They are absolute charlatans, do not even consider wasting your time or money on these robdogs!
You cannot contact them via phone if its regarding them paying you, if you email them you are informed in takes 2 weeks to reply, but they never do!
I have sent letters signed for, but they never arrive, probably got a deal with their postie where they don't have to sign for anything, am now trying online 24hr tracked on the advice of my postie.
I have now completed a money claim with HMRC, but i won't stop there, they are a LTD Co so there are other means to make it awkward for them to trade so fraudulently.
Cannot understand why normal people are so put upon, but these @@@@@ seem to be able to do what they like!

Unfortunately i didn't have the option of no stars !
They eventually collect the debt after being given the run around far too easily, then don't pay out!
Months of emails and phone calls and still no money.
Unbelievable services from a company who are debt collectors

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs; they are scammers. AYOM recovered £17,000 from my client and only transferred £5,000 to me. Whenever I contact my case worker, she refers me to customer service, which can only be reached via email, and they never respond. This has been going on for over four years now.

If you are considering using this…then forget it

If you are considering using this company, then definitely do not. I was informed in February 2025 that my debt of £7800 had been collected in full. I was also informed that payment would be subject to a 60 day holding period. Despite emailing and phoning them weekly, I still have not received a penny. They do not reply to emails.. and the team handling calls just say they will email the payments team, who do not talk to their clients, and don't even have a phone number. Very displeased this this terrible company

Fast and efficient

They made it so easy! I was able to do everything through their website I gave them the details of my debtor a couple of weeks ago and now I have my money back. Thankyou! Would definitely recommend.
