ARAG Law took on a business related…
ARAG Law took on a business related financial problem for me after I discovered that I was insured for contract issues, I had initially thought that I was up the creek without a paddle, Zeynep Okutan took on my case kept me updated with what was going on, and managed to get to a resolve that was acceptable, seriously can’t thank her enough without her help I would have been done for!
Leanne has been extremely helpful…
Leanne has been extremely helpful throughout this claim, especially given how long the process has taken due to court backlogs. She has managed everything proactively, kept us updated, and was always one step ahead in making sure we had the support and information we needed. Her guidance and responsiveness have made a difficult situation much easier to handle, and we really appreciate all her assistance.
People helping people
If you need this company, you're probably under some kind of pressure. I was dealt with, with respect and understanding and motivated by staff to provide the information they needed. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend.
Highly recommend
ARAG Law, and particularly Danielle Cooper, were so brilliant. They kept me extremely informed and updated, ensured I understood the detail of what was being spoken about and I cannot recommend enough.
Landlords: steer clear –Shambolic service – ignored evidence, generic templates, and outright false statements
I honestly can’t believe how badly ARAG Law handled my landlord/tenant dispute. The whole thing has felt unprofessional from start to finish, with shifting positions, generic responses, and statements that were simply untrue.
This dragged on for months (more than a year and still ongoing) with long stretches of complete silence. No proactive updates, no timeline, no ownership. I only ever got movement after chasing repeatedly. It genuinely felt like my file was being passed around (or forgotten) rather than handled.
When they eventually replied, the responses were often template-like and didn’t address the points or evidence I’d provided. I sent clear documentation and a contractor quote showing the remedial costs were well above the threshold they kept using to dismiss the claim, yet they still came back with blandine statements like “it won’t reach £1,000” and tried to frame it as “wear and tear / décor”. It wasn’t. The work was needed due to unauthorised and malicious damage and botched repainting by the tenant.
The most telling example of how little they read the file: they asked me to sign a document about rent arrears, when my claim was about tenant damage from a previous tenancy. When I pointed this out and refused to sign something factually wrong, they brushed it off as a “generic” document. That’s unacceptable. Asking a client to sign a statement that doesn’t reflect the claim is not a harmless admin mistake — it shows they hadn’t even understood what the dispute was about.
They also kept pushing a line about “challenging the deposit adjudicator”, as if that’s a prerequisite to assessing the wider loss. In my case the deposit process was already complete and the deposit had been paid out (more than a year ago and the full deposit was retained), so it made no practical sense. Again, it felt like they were trying to fit my case into a script instead of looking at the facts.
Overall: poor communication, slow handling, and a real sense that nobody actually read the file properly. If you’re a landlord relying on legal expenses cover and expecting competent support, I’d very strongly recommend steering well clear.

Thanks for the reply, but it’s still mixing things up (which is exactly what’s gone wrong throughout).
There were two separate issues:
Coverage complaint (now resolved): ARAG initially refused cover on the basis that part of the damage pre-dated the policy. After I challenged that, ARAG reversed their position and confirmed cover would be considered. That specific complaint is therefore closed.
Merits/prospects refusal (still ongoing): After agreeing cover, ARAG Law then refused to progress the case on a different basis — claiming the recoverable amount “wouldn’t reach the £1,000 threshold” / framing it as décor/wear & tear — despite me providing a contractor quote showing the remedial works (including redecoration required due to the tenant’s unauthorised damage/botched repainting) exceed that threshold. That dispute is still ongoing, because the evidence has not been properly addressed.
So saying my complaint has “concluded” without acknowledging this distinction is part of the same problem: basic facts get muddled, replies are generic, and key evidence is ignored.

Call for insurances to comply with law
Arag law were recruited by simply business who are a liability insurance company, to provide assistance with pursuing some non paying customers for services provided in construction.
Covered by a £100,000
Legal expenses sum on my cover. The claims had previously been deemed valid by a collections agency and Arag law. But suddenly the claims were discontinued due having been deemed as low expectations of a positive result.
It is the second part of a problem I have suffered where hard working people are required by law to have insurances that fail to operate in compliance with law?!.. it’s ridiculous.
Simply business and Arag law will not provide cover they’ll just take your premium each month.

We looked into it at length where I was told the thousands of pounds customers simply didn’t pay for top end workmanship provided was not worth pursuing encouraging future clients to withhold payment simply because there will be no consequences.
Well done 👏🏻

poor handling of a time-sensitive claim & unreasonable delays
I engaged ARAG Law through my Legal Expenses Insurance for a professional negligence claim. From the outset, I made clear that the matter was time-sensitive and that I am a vulnerable customer (anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia). Reasonable adjustments were acknowledged but, in practice, not meaningfully applied.
Communication was slow and inconsistent, with long periods of silence and unclear timelines. At one point, delays were attributed to “unprecedented high work volumes,” yet I later discovered that the person assigned to review my complaint was on annual leave — something that was not communicated to me directly.
The prospects assessment was rejected without a clear or transparent explanation of how the 51% threshold was applied to my evidence or losses, leaving me unable to understand or meaningfully respond to the decision.
More broadly, this experience reflects a familiar pattern with insurance-backed legal services, where claims can be declined on technical or procedural grounds rather than assessed holistically. It underlines the importance of understanding insurers’ real-world claims handling, not just policy wording.
Overall, I found the process stressful, time-consuming, and lacking in transparency. I would not recommend this service for anyone with a time-critical claim or who expects proactive handling.

Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time using their legal expenses insurance. They seem to cherry pick the money making cases, no interest in anything else. Non responsive customer service.

Excellent legal advice.
Excellent legal advice provided by Ash. This is the second occasion that I have used ARAG Law. Today was for advice only but last year was for a dispute with a builder. Highly recommended.
Great Experience
Sasha was really supportive, knowledgeable and efficient and has made the process as painless as possible, thank you!
Excellent and Professional Assistance
I used ARAG Law - linked to our home insurance provided by Covea - to pursue a personal claim against a Landscape Company for incompetent work.
After almost 2 1/2 years of going backward and forwards with emails, letters and various documents, I have finally reached a successful outcome.
This would not have happened without the help of ARAG Law, in particular, Daniella Kleis-Paramore & Alice Richards who with their persistence and proffessionlism we achieved this excellent outcome.
Throughout this journey I was regular kept updated and given positive proffessional advice of what actions were needed by myself when the need arose.
I must thank the independent Professional Witness whose Report was very damning of the work that helped us to achieve this positive outcome, without it I think it could have been a different outcome, this again was down to ARAG Law in getting him on board.
All in all, an excellent result along with excellent assistance from ARAG Law.
Would definitely use again if I had to.
A BIG THANK YOU
First Class Service
I have written a review regarding the first class service I received from ARAG Law in terms of customer service; legal advice; and also the execution. I wanted to specifically mention Lydia C of Arag Law who managed my case and deserves high praise indeed. Also to those behind the "scene" who made up the files for court and sent out statements and maintained contact. All top class service. Thank you.
First class service from start to finish.
First class service from start to finish. Professional and excellent legal advice and execution from beginning to end.
My experience of working with James Boyce of ARAG Law.
I found James Boyce to be approachable, knowledgeable and patient when dealing with my many queries in connection with my claim. Follow up from James was prompt and included clear advice/guidance regarding the way forward. I felt that, where appropriate, James listened to my thoughts and ideas in connection with my claim and that we worked collaboratively towards a fair and equitable outcome for all parties.
Clear, Patient & Highly Professional Legal Support
I had a great experience working with Burak at ARAG Law. He was extremely professional, always responsive & consistently took the time to answer all of my questions. What could have been a very complicated legal situation was made much clearer thanks to Burak’s patience & willingness to explain every step of the process.
He really went out of his way to make sure both I & my company understood the legal processes involved & I always felt supported throughout. His knowledge, clarity & calm approach made a huge difference.
I would absolutely recommend working with Burak & ARAG Law if you need legal services.

Leanne was very helpful and responded to emails in a timely manner.
Initially poor but hugely improved after change of personnel
Initially response was slow and intermittent with chasing required to speed up the process. But , once Emma Woods was put in charge of my case the experience was quick and efficient. She was a delight to deal with and so willing to engage and stick up for me in dealing with the other side.
Konstantinos Kalemis responded very…
Konstantinos Kalemis responded very quickly and helpfully providing very detailed advice. All in all a very good service and very reassuring to have available at our fingertips!
Instead of legal advice- straight incompetence and uselessness
I recently sought legal advice for my company.
So called legal adviser got in touch with me on 22 January 2026 - was absolutely incompetent and useless. When i asked him about does he understand CPR 27 and practice directions 27A his answer was - what’s that ?
Next
I asked questions about an issue - he didn’t even listen to what was asked about and made some wrong/irrelevant inferences and responses.
During the whole conversation
instead of being helpful- he literally was accusing me without even understanding the whole context of the issue.
What a service !!!!!! Arag where do you get such “legal advisers”
Following conversation with so -called legal adviser, I’ve made my own research and realized how to act in my particular case.
Time to find another legal firm for legal advises.
