Our children and teachers absolutely love this scheme! The mascot characters are amazing, the children love the songs and the actions and they are doing SO WELL! Just four months after starting Reception, the majority of children are writing simple sentences. It is a pleasure to see how much children look forward to Phonics lessons. They literally cheer when it’s time for Phonics! As Phonics lead, I couldn’t be happier with our choice to buy into this scheme. I know so many teachers who find some of the bigger schemes monotonous and uninspiring. None of our teachers feel this way about Anima Phonics. Literally couldn’t be happier!

Anaimaphonics is engaging but we are finding lots of issues with it. The teaching approach to teach all children at the same rate is holding kids back. My child entered reception already able to read and was bringing home books for weeks with just 1 letter in them which was a waste of time. Currently she is reading at about a level 7/8 on oxford reading tree but the school says they have to send home the level the class is working at at the moment which is level 4. Also, the spellings in year 1 have many issues where words are chosen that are not using the rules they learn in year 1. For example, one week the word cried was used because it used ie but the rule is the root word cry is changed because of adding the suffix -ed. This rule is not a year 1 rule so explaining to my child why cried is ie but cry is y was confusing.

My 3 year old daughter loves learning the sounds with Anima Phonics, great resources, friendly presentations, great interaction between screens/sounds/ push buttons, funny characters and great experience when used the free resources, I would probably pay for suscripción but until next September my daughter will have Anima phonics at her nursery. Well done ladies for creating something special!

I am a Year 1 teacher, and I love teaching using Anima Phonics! I feel really lucky that the school that I work in has subscribed to it, as the children love all the actions, creatures, poems and games!

My one request would be for Anima Phonics to add more spelling rules, and to compare the same sound within the same lesson. It would be useful to have formalised guidelines as to when to use each spelling/ sound.

This was an amazing resource to share with parents during remote learning. It allowed consistency and continuity for the children and aided the parents when revising phonics at home.

Engaging , effective and exciting phonics scheme. Easy to follow and such good value for money. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We LOVE anima phonics!! The children at our school are enthused and love phonics more than ever. Our parents are engaged and it certainly made remote schooling FAR easier! Thank you so much to Kerry and the team also for being so hands on and supporting us in everything we do.

Anima Phonics is amazing - my son was always keen to learn the next sound, and it was the highlight of his day during homeschooling. He is my third child and the other two used different systems for learning phonics. Although they all learnt to read well, my youngest is by far the most secure in his knowledge of the different sounds and how to break words down. The pictures that accompany each sound are really helpful and definitely aid his memory.
