This was a total waste of my money and time.

I was so looking forward to finding family members I lost touch with. This has not helped me at all. Plus its a complicated app very hard to navigate. Very frustrating, I will not be renewing.

I found my mother after 57 years! Thank you! I was adopted when I was a baby. I finally sent my DNA then once I got my results I instantly matched with my birth mother. She did the same 4 years prior. We made contact and it couldn’t have worked out better! :)

I couldn’t access y account to see my results. Very disappointed. It wouldn’t let me reset my password

My DNA results state I am 31% Scottish and 24% England and Northwestern Europe and 6 other regions. Total 45% other regions. I already know I am part Scottish with a name like Robert Mitchell! The England and Norman/Saxon heritage is known as well. The 45% "other regions" are the reason I paid the $132. Canadian to find the answer to the unknown. Who would accept 55% of a pizza, shirt, tooth filling, etc. when one has paid full price? If Ancestry cannot fill in the 6 "other regions" totalling 45% of my "results", then I must be entitled to 45% refund on my purchase? The total refund comes to $59.40 Canadian. Either send me my results including the missing 45% or refund 45% of my money. This is completely fair and reasonable if you wish me to give a 5 star review.

Very confusing gonna take awhile to figure this all out.

I have been able to figure out who my biological father is. One of his cousins reached out to me once I was linked to his tree and my life mystery is solved.

I love the concept of Ancestry and we received our kit with clear instructions. Our results were ready in a timely fashion with quite a bit of detail.

My complaint is that the app/website is SO hard to navigate. Truly, after hours of working on my tree and researching my history I some don’t really understand the site. The app could use a major simplification especially since many users are older adults.

You keep on asking me the same question and if not answered you will not let me move on.

Not what I expected.
the DNA test results just tell you where your parents came from (approx) but doesn't break it down to generations before that by generation. The system relies on others to input their data so it can formulate a tree, etc. Therefore you would have to get more people/relatives to submit their DNA, tree info, etc.

If you don't have many relatives you know of or they are older or gone, this would be challenging.

Finding out where my maternal grandparents are buried was a high point for me. Also the names of people submitting photos was interesting. I know little of my cousins. Ancestry was prompt with information and kept me informed with the progress of my sample. I was a little frustrated at not figuring out some misinformation on my Mom’s info and couldn’t figure out how to let someone know about this. Some info on other sites was correct but it did make me wonder about accuracy of other info. I know Ancestry can only go by the records they receive. My Mom’s date of death was wrong on some sites as well as her date of birth by one day. Was an enjoyable experience. I suspected my Scottish results would be as it was. Not very diverse but I am whom I am.

I am confused. I have found some errors in my personal family and I don't know how to correct them. i.e., they have my mother as a step-sister-in-law to my Aunt Alveretta Burtch Druce. My father is Aunt Alveretta's full brother. I am down as a step-niece when I am, in fact, her full niece. I was able to change some things as there was an Edit I could use but not all errors have been changed. Lois Marian Watson's Grandparents raised her but her mother was Eliza Anne Shaw-Watson as her husband was Edward Watson, a nephew to Wilbert Watson who was my mother's Step-Grandfather. Surprisingly quick results. many add on options, fair price.

Very limited information. Better information needed. Not too impressed

Too general an analysis. Despite the fact that I had all native Germans on my father's side. There is not even a hint of them in the analysis.

Ancestry is really cool but at the same time some family members I can't get any if much info about them

The family relationships were cool but the traits were useless. Seemed like a coin toss.
Also I thought the results were shared across platforms. It seems that if one person uses ancestry and one uses 23 and me, the information never gets cross referenced. So I order to find everyone I'd need to go to several platforms and have my DNA analyzed. There should be a collaboration.

This test was spot on from what I had already known of my ancestry. 10/10
