Excellent from start to finish. Great value for money on the financial remedy draft. Very good communication throughout and a friendly but party-neutral approach to discussions. If you can resolve your divorce amicably, this is the service to use. Much better (and much cheaper) than getting down into the trenches and letting the solicitors fight it out.

Really good solutions for couples who are pragmatic and prepared to work together to resolve a situation.

Working with the team at Amicable was a truly positive experience. Working through a situation that could have been traumatic and stressful was so much easier than the alternative traditional route. We worked with Laura Kinsella, who enabled us to be respectful, responsible and accountable. Laura was patient, gracious and knowledgeable. The documents and templates and online dashboard ensured we were informed and aware at each stage of the process. I would like to thank everyone at Amicable, especially Laura, for providing such a valuable and compassionate service.

I was prepared to go through GOV.UK (Cost circa £600) because my ex husband and I were already amicable. But my ex was worried about the amount of paperwork we might have to go through. He wanted to make life easier for himself so he chose Amicable and was happy to pay circa £2000.00 because THEY TOLD HIM that they take the stress of all the admin away. Heads up: THEY DON'T. There's MORE admin going through them. I was frustrated by the amount of paperwork and I'm not averse to paperwork. I thought they were totally unnecessary for a couple who were basically on the same page. I found the process more distressing not less. My ex and I mediated ourselves as we didn't want to pay the extra for that service. Honestly, we had more upset going through Amicable than if we hadn't.

We used Amicable to reach a financial order agreement. The service provided by Gemma was excellent. She guided us both through the process during a stressful and very difficult time - she kept us updated and prompted us to do the actions required in a timely manner. It was easy to upload the necessary paperwork to their portal, and the dashboard was very useful, providing transparency of information as it is provided by each party. Gemma provided good advice about what would likely (and not likely) be accepted by the court.
Our divorce wasn’t as amicable as I had hoped, but I would still recommend using this service – ultimately it is a lot less stressful than the thought of dealing with solicitors and courts. It was good value for money too, compared to engaging separate solicitors.

Amicable really lived up to their name - they took what is inherently a stressful process and made it is smooth as possible. Our adviser, Daniel Martinez, explained complicated procedures in a clear and concise way, gave us excellent advice, and bore with us in what was a far from standard situation!

Excellent service. Totally supportive and helpful. Amicable made what is obviously a hard process much easier. Sue was absolutely brilliant.

Amicable guided us both through what is a stressful and difficult period of time. Fortunately our divorce was relatively simple but we still needed to be guided through the legal process. Amicable kept us updated and prompted us to do the actions required in a professional and sensitive manner.

Funny to give 5 stars to a divorce, but Amicable did what it said it would - got us divorced amicably, with costs paid up front and no hidden surprises. Having watched a few of my friends be badly damaged emotionally and financially doing it with separate lawyers I 100% endorse this approach.
Dan, our lawyer, was great although I think we helped by being genuinely amicable and my ex was scrupulous in the finances so that also made life easier for all.

The whole process was simple and straighforward. My ex husband and I knew what we wanted and the team from Amicable made that happen. Sue, our advisor, was very supportive throughout the whole process.
The only slight negative point was that the dashboard did not always save changes and edits I made. Otherwise communications were speedy and supportive.
I would highly recommend their service, and a huge thank you to the team.

Clear communications. Answered questions quickly.
Friendly throughout. Corrected any errors or issues with speed.
Entering and saving information on a couple of sections on the Dashboard caused a few hold ups, but was generally a smooth process.
Considering the stress of divorce (and buying/selling houses) They were the least of the problems. Very pleased with the efficient value for money service Amicable provided.

Dan Martinez is very professional and always focused on solutions. I had a need to contact him long after the divorce process with Amicable and he has been responsive and so helpful with the information required. Goes above and beyond.

A structured process that allows you to progress from 'know nothing about divorce' to 'consent order that will get approved by the courts'. In our case, even though we agreed on most things, there was still a lot to discuss and we valued the non-confrontational methodology and calm approach of our divorce specialist Laura. Having been married 18 years we of course had a lot of emotional baggage even though this was an 'amicable' divorce. We benefited from a separate course of intensive couples therapy (arranged by ourselves but I believe you can investigate through Amicable as well). The benefit of doing this parallel couples psychotherapy is that we offloaded our emotional baggage with the therapist, leaving our heads clear to engage fully with Laura and to focus on our children and our future finances. For us, this service saved us a lot of money and heartache. We submitted our divorce via the gov.uk portal in mid December 24 and our final order was granted in early September 25. Ours was a fairly detailed consent order that the courts approved first time around. We are sure that this 'rocket propelled' timeframe was possible because of Laura's input. Outside of the Amicable process, it will help if you do some reading up and join support groups as this will help you to get the most out of the service. Be prepared to spend a lot of time gathering your financial details for your specialist to look at. Thank you Laura for always being available to answer our questions and for being meticulous with the financial spreadsheet and legal drafting.

Laura was professional and knowledgeable but also warm, friendly and understanding and most of all completely fair in her assessment of our situation.

I had little choice in proceeding with this form of divorce, as it was my husband’s decision. While it may work for couples who are genuinely amicable, I would not recommend it where there is conflict. Independent legal representation is essential in such cases.
I found the level of support during this process to be minimal, and the needs of our children were not given sufficient consideration. Additionally, the promised six sessions were not delivered.
Overall, if you are not entirely comfortable sharing legal representation with your spouse, I would advise seeking an alternative approach.
