The 4 lamb rump steaks looked nothing like there listing photos, the 4 little square ones I received was laughable and at £24 = £6 each i can't help feeling been ripped off. They didn't even look nice and wish i could post pictures of them. And when they get cooked they wouldn't be enough for a good Sunday roast for my family. I certainly would not advise anyone to buy these from Athams butchers. And I did contact there customer service and they ask me to send photos to which i did but got no response. order number 5561.
Bought a wellington and it was absolutely awful. Very poor quality meat, most of it went in the bin. Ruined boxing day meal.
I placed an order for 12 different items. The package was delivered on time by dpd.
So far we have tried the gammon steaks, beef fillet strips and the beefburgers.
Everything so far has been top class. The meat cooks beautifully and the taste is beautiful.
Looking forward to trying the other items.
I ordered a hamper back in August for Christmas thinking I was being organised and giving Althams plenty of time to get my order to me. On the 24th nov I heard from dpd that my hour slot for delivery was 4.30-5.30, at 5.33 I got a text telling me my parcel was perishable and would not be delivered, after multiple conversations with Althams they were sending me out another one, I told the lady Emily that if they sent it with dpd it risked not being delivered again but she took no notice and again it was not delivered. I understood this year has been difficult with delivery companies but why when someone ordered something months away can Althams not be more organised in who they have available to do their deliveries?
I now have to change my plans to the last minute in organising my Christmas food. I have used Althams for my Christmas meat hamper for the past five years, I’m afraid I won’t bother in future.
