Would put zero stars if available
Would put zero stars if available, terrible customer service avoid like the plaque , had 10 skips from this so called no1 skip hire to be told you are only allowed a skip for 2 weeks . I’m a small business so it takes a while to fill the skip as I recycle as much as I can , woke up to find totally empty skip had been taken after paying £276 no refund because I’d had it too long absolutely ridiculous go to thorncliffe skip hire instead of this shower of SH!T£

I used Alan’s skips recently on a clearance project that was for a high profile client and time critical.
The service we received was second to none and probably the best I’ve encountered in all my years in the industry.
I’d have no hesitation in recommending them and using again. The drivers were VERY helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

If you scoured the country over
If you scoured the country over, you wouldn't find a worse skip hire company, so after getting fed up with awful service we went to Thorncliffe skip hire and they have been brilliant for the last 3x we used them, very helpful and decent.
28/3/23 update - Alans skips are so upset about this, they've reported me to trustpilot for promoting a competitor :-)

Ordered skip for removal of garden waste which is clay/soil. Told is over tonnage even though skip is half full!!!
Said clay is wet so weighs more!!! Didn't think it would be dry in winter!!!
Extremely rude and unhelpful staff!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND!!!!

Still waiting for skip to be collected 2 weeks late. Lady on the phone when I have rung is extremely rude and dismissive and they have refused to give date for collection. Avoid at all costs

Service was excellent
Service was excellent ! Booked a skip for next day and it arrived when they said it would. At collection time, it was less than 3 hours after we phoned that it was picked up. Hugely impressive turnaround time given how busy they must be at the moment.
I can only agree with local recommendations. Will certainly use them again and recommend when asked.
