Lousy customer service
I was in touch with AID several weeks ago as I was concerned that I had not had a delivery for some time, and was assured that there was sufficient in my oil tank. Then on Dec 12th I contacted them again, and was told that the monitor was not working. I expressed concern and was told that they would arrange a delivery on the 17th. This was the first, I repeat first, time I had been told the monitor was not working, despite the fact that they were supposed to be monitoring the level in my tank. On the morning of the 14th I woke up to a cold bedroom, and it was clear that the oil had run out, as it was a Sunday there was nobody to contact at AID, so I left numerous messages, and felt that I had no option but to go and stay at the Premier Inn on the Newport bypass, I paid £79.99 to them. First thing on Monday morning, I contacted AID again as they had not got back to me and was assured that a tanker was on its way; I naturally assumed they would prioritise it, and it would arrive soon. But despite several further calls to AID, it was nearly lunchtime before it came, and it filled the tank. Unfortunately, because the tank had been empty, the boiler would not operate and I had to get an engineer out to clear the air in the pipe. At the very least, I expected a discounted bill to allow for my hotel stay, but received an invoice in full. I spoke to James at AID about making an allowance for the cost and inconvenience, and he has still, on Jan 7th, not got back to me. The lies and misrepresentation in their response have left me even angrier about them.

As advised previously, our team had informed you that your tank monitor was not communicating correctly and that this would need to be addressed so we could continue monitoring your oil levels accurately. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a response to arrange this.
When you contacted us on Friday 12th December, you had not yet run out of oil. At that point, a delivery had already been arranged for the following working day, Monday. Unfortunately, your oil ran out over the weekend while our offices were closed.
We appreciate how upsetting this experience was and genuinely regret the stress it caused. Thank you for sharing your feedback, it’s been noted and will help us continue improving how we communicate around monitoring and delivery arrangements.

Extremely long delivery times.....!
Placed the order for the oil on the 5th December and was told that it would be delivered on/by the 19th December. I asked if they could definitely deliver by that date as it seemed a bit of a long lead time. Was told yes. Oil didn't turn up until Monday 22nd which caused me all kinds of stress. Will not be using them again....!
