Adapting Fitness will help you reach your health and fitness goals safely and effectively. It's easier if you are relatively healthy but I have experience training people with a wide variety of medical conditions, illnesses and injuries including rehab (post op) and prehab (pre-op) ...and even people with a general dislike of 'exercise' that want to make a change. We'll adapt to a plan that will work for you. In-person services (within 30 miles of Northallerton) include: Personal Training, Yoga - private or group sessions and various styles ofyoga classes, Sports massage, Group exercise Conditioning Online services: Personal Training, Yoga (private and group classes), Online fitness coaching, Group exercise, Conditioning I teach Hatha, Vinyasa and Gravity yoga Kettlercise (kettlebell class) H. Core Lean (bodyweight HIIT) H.Core 2.0 (HIIT with 2 kettlebells per exercise) BioForce Conditioning Coach Otago Exercise programme Some people want an in-person service - where I am stood beside you guiding you through each session. Some are happy with online sessions - I still watch you like a hawk, but you can do the sessions at work/home (anywhere with an internet connection) and I won't be in the same room as you. Others don't feel they need me watching over them and so - I provide you a programme (with video links of how to perform each exercise), and whilst it will tell you how many times per week to train - you choose which days and times suit you. Each client is unique, not just with their lifestyles, injuries and illnesses, time available to train, preferred style of training, etc. Sometimes that decides the best training method, but if you are not sure then feel free to call me and have a chat about what could work best for you.

Following two surgeries on my wrist I needed motivation and support to get the functionality back. Receiving one to one sessions that were adapted to my abilities with Chris at Adapting Fitness has enabled me to now carry out most of my daily tasks, get back to work and drive again. The exercises taught by him have strengthened and improved the flexibility in my wrist. He is patient, supportive and makes each session enjoyable. I would recommend Adapting Fitness to anyone who wants and needs to get fit and healthy, no matter what age or disability you may have. The sessions are designed to suit your individual needs.

Yoga for all

I’ve been attending Chis’s classes for several months now he has a fun way of making me improve my position, try harder or genuinely get the best from his class. Chris freely offers advice on improving my yoga technique if asked individually before or after each session . Chris has a really high standard of yoga teaching with good humour .I wish I could afford more sessions.

Yoga classes

Have been attending classes since before lockdown both in person and online. Chris really thinks through the classes and my flexibility has massively improved since doing Sunday classes.
