Aggressive collection during formal dispute and ignored vulnerability

I raised a formal dispute and complaint regarding an EE debt that had been assigned to Perch Capital / ACI. Despite this, they continued with collection activity throughout the dispute period, including multiple letters, emails, and home visits.
On one occasion an agent attended my property three times in a single day. This happened after I had already flagged my vulnerability (due to living in a high-crime area and previous incidents) and requested that all communication be in writing only.
They also continued to report and update the default on my credit file as recently as the end of May 2026, even while court proceedings were ongoing and settlement discussions were taking place.
I have no confidence in their complaints process or their willingness to act fairly during a dispute. The stress and anxiety this caused, especially given my personal circumstances, was significant.

Tried to get my wife to pay into his personal account for a "reduced amount", she has absolutely zero knowledge of a debt and it's not on her credit file.

Very dodgy.

ACI They help me to be able to pay my debt by giving me the option of holding my account or paying the minimum amount that I could pay which is the lowest. I think every customer will be able to pay. Debra was so nice and went through everything

I spoke with Debra this morning and she was very friendly helpful she had passion and patience towards customers, especially towards me Debra is a very nice woman and hard passion patient nice ways towards customers

I have been paying a long term amount…

I have been paying a long term amount to this company for a old debt that defaulted over 6 years ago.

I recently switched bank account details. I updated this online. And they took my monthly payment from my new bank account.

Then I logged into the portal, and it says my payment failed. I discovered they also tried to take this from my old bank details. So if they were succesful they would've taken it twice.

I have had missed call after missed call from them and two emails saying I've not made a payment when I have sent proof I have.

They are not responding to me at all

Deen was fantastic…

My first phone call that was answered by Joshua wasn’t pleasant at all but fortunately for the company they have people like Deen who wasn’t only very understanding but went above and beyond to get my situation sorted which lifted such a huge level of stress and anxiety. Today’s going to be a good day all down to Deen so thank you.

Straight forward and very polite!

Deen called me today. He was very kind and sympathetic of my issues and we came to a agreement that was just right! Can't complain at all. Debt companies are usually quite brash and pushy, I can't say the same about ACI. Brilliant👍

I am disabled

I am disabled, and I am being harassed by this bill collector, almost every day they are contacting me. THis is sheer harrassment as i am in a wheelchair! How is this legal? Anyone who leaves a bill collector a rating of more than 1 star needs their head examined!
