All were very efficient and kind. I thought I will have wait for a long time but all was in time. Given very clear advice how to look after my eye after the operation.

The initial pre-assessment appointment was extremely quick following the referral from my optometrist, just 2 weeks waiting. Unfortunately this had to be cancelled on the day due to a medical emergency, but the assistant was excellent, sympathetic and managed to make a further appointment for just one week later.
I found the pre-assessment appointment to be slightly disorganised with the Care Assistant appearing brusque and unfriendly. The optometrist, however, was excellent in explaining what would happen after this initial appointment. I received an appointment (to suit me) for the cataract operation on the day of the pre-assessment appointment, although I did have to return to the clinic prior to this to have my eye measured as the equipment had broken down and they were unable to perform all the tests at the pre-assessment.
On the day of the operation, I was put totally at ease by the Health Care Assistants, the Surgeon and theatre staff. I had to wait approximately 1 hour before the operation took place for the local anaesthetic to become effective, but it only lasted around 10-15 minutes, after which time I was given instruction on what to do for the first 24 hours, a bottle of eye drops and asked to make an appointment to have my eyes retested in 4 weeks.
Overall, I would highly recommend Aces Eye Clinic as an alternative to attending a NHS Clinic/Hospital. They are quick and efficient, and, in my opinion an excellent choice for cataract surgery.

I went on dec 22nd did not receive any information about what was wrong with my eyes, just given eye drops & ointment. No prescription or information about eye test. My appointments have now been cancelled 3 times! In the meantime I went to specsavers was told I am starting to develop cataracts, have blepharitis & blocked eye duct. I cannot believe the difference in the service. I have informed Ace not to send another appointment, no doubt it will only be cancelled a fourth time.Very poor service at Liverpool branch.

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish and I honestly can't complain about anything whatsoever...
All of the staff were amazing and from start to finish everything felt very professional and my surgery went along without any issues at all.
I return to the clinic in 3 weeks to have my other cattaract removed .

This was my first, of two, cataract operations. I was very nervous about what I was going to have done. I need not have worried at all. From the moment I stepped up to reception to the minute I left everyone was very helpful. The cataract operation was pain free. It took the surgeon no time at all. I would recommend Aces eye clinic to all. Can't wait to have the other eye cataract done. If it's you, that needs your cataract operation, you'll be in good hands, I was amazed by how quick and pain free my operation was. As I'm sure you will be too.

Its was no good for me. I check in at 3pm my appointments at 3:10pm I am sit and wait no sigh to be seen until 4pm I went to ask why I am not been call. The staff who see me in not checking me in not bring my file up . Staff definitely need to be ensured that they do know how to do the job. Time is very important I have spent over 2 hours here. But Dr are very nice I give 11 of of 10 for him .

Had the cataract in my left eye sorted at Aces Wisbech and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff.
The assessment took about an hour to do the various tests and the procedure itself only took about 10 minutes and was for me, completely painless, with a total time at Aces of just over an hour.
As soon as my right eye needs doing, I will definitely go back to Aces.

Had a warm welcome, staff friendly, and explained every test beforehand. Also cleaned each piece of equipment after each use. Then explained that I'll get a letter in about a week explaining the results and what will happen next.
