From initial assessment to surgery made me feel at ease and informed me what was going to happen. It’s only day two after surgery and I am feeling the difference already.
Can’t thank Aces enough.

The staff excelled themselves in providing a very professional Service. I was kept informed of what they had to do regarding my Cataract Operation. Admittedly I was in the Clinic for longer than was anticipated "almost 4 hours", but I wasn't surprised as I was the last one on the list of 25. But considering how many people in the Clinic and the speed in which it was one in one out was very surprising. I would recommend Aces for any procedures or operations. Fantastic Job Well done to all the Staff.

A very run professional operation, providing Hospital quality eyecare. I was being checked for signs of Glaucoma after being referred by my opticians, and ACES had all the most up to date equipment to carry out a thorough check of my eyes. All clear I'm pleased to say. Excellent staff and service.

I have had 2 cataract operations at Fakenham , Norfolk. The 1st operation went extremely well and all the staff were superb ie 5 star rating being courteous, friendly, informative. I had the 2nd operation yesterday and the staff were still extremely courteous, attentive etc , so I could not fault the staff at Fakenham in any way . The operation seemed to be more difficult and I was in extreme discomfort last evening. This morning I phoned the helpline number given and was told to go to the centre to be checked out and receive some different eye drops. This I did and on arriving at the centre was told they didn’t do walk ins. A very nice assistant filled in a form to be triaged and I was told a clinician would make an and I would receive a phone call. This had not happened even though I have had the phone by my side all afternoon. So, it would appear the helpline numbers are worthless which when you are in discomfort is not acceptable. Such a shame when all the staff I came into contact with were so professional. Perhaps the staff on the end of the phone should receive some more training and be better informed.

Had an appointment at Peterborough today 18/08/2026. Dealt with by a guy called Adri.
Adri is by far the best person I have ever seen at ACES, Peterborough. His whole demeanor was excellent. His social skills were first class. Although I visit annually this was by far the most relaxing appointment I have attended thanks to Adri. Good communicator and very friendly. He talks to you not at you.

I typed this review on behalf of my wife who had the eye operations as she cannot see clear enough to use the Computer.
She quoted to me: My first cataract operation went well and deserved a 5 star rating the second eye Surgery with different Surgeon and team felt not so caring at the time, although I felt no pain during the procedure. This seemed to to be borne out with my resulting appointment due to intense pain. This was diagnosed as due to swelling and bruising to the eye. I was sent a prescription through the post to reduce my eye pain an discomfort, this prescription cost me £53 before the Pharmacy would deliver it, which was not a cost I was expecting but I paid with the hope it would reduce my pain and discomfort. I had another appointment at Aces in Chelmsford due to continuing discomfort and the fact I could not see correctly out of the left eye. This appointment did not resolve any of my problems and cost me another £17 pound for different eye drops. I did not expect having eye surgery through the NHS would cost me nearly £70 particularly as I still cannot see out of my left eye it is just a blur and Aces appear to have washed their hands of my case and their parent company gave no solutions to my problem other than a possibly referral to NHS who has already funded them to carry out the procedure on their behalf. I feel there should be an investigation into how NHS give value for the tax payers funding,

Easy car parking. Staff are friendly and efficient. Pre assessment is thorough and a date for surgery if needed arranged there and then. On the day again staff attentive and give all information needed yet ready to answer anything you can think of. Actual surgery in my case was approximately 10 mins. No pain, sent home with drops and an eye shield for night time although l brought my own self adhesive ones from amazon which stop you accidentally rubbing your eye in ya sleep. An amazing experience and at l day since op things are much clearer.
