Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

After placing my order, I happened to read these reviews and felt sick after spending so much money before looking into the company.
Alas I couldn’t have been happier when the boxes arrived. I ordered 4ft cherry laurel plants for my daughter to make a hedge in her front garden. The pots were wrapped in cellofane to prevent spillage from the pots, there was 5 in one box and 8 in another box. They were delivered on different days but this was because of the courier. I also ordered two hydrangeas and one small wild honeysuckle. The honeysuckle was bare but my wild native hedge plants are at the moment so I wasn’t expecting it to be bushy.
I’m very pleased to recommend this company. I certainly have no reason to complain about anything.
Very happy and won’t hesitate to order again

Keep on at B&Q market place to get these traders removed

I have read a number of reviews on 3fatpigs that reflect my own experience. My recommendation is to contact B&Q and complain vociferously. A lot of orders are placed via the B&Q website. I called B&Q to complain about my 15 caryopteris plants and was very insistent. Long story short they informed me they are investigating Beechwood Nurseries (3fatpigs) as there are a number of issues regarding dead plants from them. If enough customers made their voice heard with B&Q marketplace regarding Beechwood Nurseries (3fatpigs), hopefully this trader will be removed from their suppliers. Keep at it!!

Don’t bother purchasing. Hedging arrived unhealthy. Customer services is shocking and rude. Please avoid at all costs. I didn’t see the previous review until now. Lesson learnt!

Would give no stars if possible

Would give no stars if possible. Totally agree with previous reviews. Ordered 2 trees and 1 has never shown any signs of life. Arrived poorly packaged wrapped in thin plastic & unlabelled. Fobbed off with excuse about it being dormant but obviously dead. Now won't respond to messages & obviously no chance of a refund.
Not cheap either.
Avoid at all costs. Will never use again.

Avoid this seller on B&Q

Bought 5 dogwoods off B&Q through this seller. They arrived through the post and wrapped up. Planted them hoping they would come back. Contacted Beechwood Nurseries who said because I’d not got in contact at the time of delivery they wouldn’t do anything. I explained I had hoped they would come good. They blamed the way they were planted despite the ones I bought from a different seller which are next to them growing and thriving. They have refused to do anything. The plants were poor quality and small and almost dead on arrival. I would avoid using and wish I had seen these reviews before. Disappointing that B&Q continue to use them despite a lot of poor experiences from customers.

Poor bare root beech hedging & worse customer service

Really disappointed with the quality & size of the bare root beech hedging provided by this company. Of the 100 trees we ordered some 40 were dead. When I contacted them to ask for replacements under the ‘guarantee’ all I got was excuses that I’d planted them in the wrong place, hadn’t cared for them properly etc. This despite the fact that the dead trees were in amongst the living ones. There were many trees that simply didn’t have any roots at all. Won’t be using them again and if you are reading this I suggest you avoid them. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say…

i bought a buddleia bush from ebay from…

i bought a buddleia bush from ebay from beechwood trees/ 3 fat pigs. that was the description. i expected the usual form of buddleia with rootball having stems/ branches growing from it. when it arrived some of the leaves were yellow. not the end of the world. i planted it but only after planting it did i see its a standard buddleia. there is 1 main stem from rootball with branches growing from top of that. if it developes i dont how the stem at base will support the weight of top branches. as it is so twiggy. ive tied main stem to a bamboo cane. when i contacted the seller and explained it was bought in memory of a miscarried grandchild first girl charlotte was lovely. told me to return it for refund. then someone called sara muscled in. i said after her attitude i cudnt bear to look at plant and would bin it with loss of 15 quid. she said if you want to throw out a shrub ordered in error it was my loss. it was not ordered in error. i went by the description they provided. there was no mention of it being produced as a single stemmed standard. then next day she text and said its perfect and blocked me from replying. i wish id seen the reviews. there was no sensitivity towards why i bought it and the day sara blocked me was our 7 mth olds anniversary which didnt help. cant beleive this company is still operating

Twigs delivered

Twigs delivered, told that the "privets" were just dormant and to give them a few weeks to get bedded in. Nearly 2 months later, and still Twigs, no leaves and no shoots, out of 50 "bushes" delivered, I wish I could put photos on this review. I've been in contact with B&Q who I bought them through answer was to get in touch with the supplier ( Beechwood Nurseries) utter disgrace and a waste of £79.99.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Ordered 15 plants. 5 showed no sign of life and 3 had stunted, sickly leaves that eventually fell off. These plants were substandard, poor quality and should not have been shipped to a customer. It indicated they do not care about quality and will ship any old thing out! Contacted Beechwood Nurseries via B&Q market place and as informed the plants were in hibernation. Ha! It was barndoor obvious they were dead. Refused to give a refund and told me to wait 8 weeks. I duly waited and unsurprisingly they did not "do a Lazarus"; they were still dead. When I contacted them for the refund, I was then informed the 2 week refund period had expired! Went ballistic and told them I had waited at THEIR SPECIFIC request. Eventually got a refund for 6 plants but they would not budge on the other 2 plants that died. Will never use again and my advice to avoid like the plague

70 cherry laurels purchased

70 cherry laurels purchased, 12 of which died. Company said they had dried out but they were meticulously looked after in the wettest spring for years. Tone of response from company very defensive then stopped responding to emails. I was polite and courteous and intended buying other shrubs had they responded in a professional and consolatory manner. I believe company policy is to sell and essentially walk away and ignore a customer. There is also no phone number which would seem intentional given the number of complaints. If only I had read these reviews before purchasing. They are rude, unprofessional and as far as i can see a ‘chancer’ outfit who sell and walk away. Avoid this supplier and find a reputable one with good Trustpilot reviews. AVOID at all costs.

Ordered 25 cherry laurels

Ordered 25 cherry laurels. Appeared healthy when arrived and were well packaged. Been planted approx 8 weeks. Lots of new growth already. Some did get yellow and lost all leaves, but I think they may had been due to the stress of planting? None have died and new shoots are forming, even on ones where leaves were lost.

DO NOT USE

Why why why didn’t I see these reviews before I ordered . I paid over the odds, once I found these plum trees available . The packaging was useless , a long box with no ‘way up’ sign for the mail man. Inside the fine earth was loose in a pot wrapped loosely in cling film. It arrived even so on its side and was dumped on my doorstep on its side. Package broken ? Earth all out , plant was dry and wilted , all the top branches were broken . Then I read these . No point complaining no one got anywhere . No phone number listed . AVOID this company . I was asked to explain this …why it’s perfectly clear

I was bought a cherry tree as a…

I was bought a cherry tree as a surprise present and when it arrived the condition was very poor. I sent numerous images showing extensive brown spot and over half the leaves eaten by caterpillars or something else, and apparently the manager of Beechwood nurseries support team stated that was acceptable and the tree was healthy! She then told me they wouldn’t refund as I’d planted the tree which I certainly hadn’t. The defensive tone seems to be the norm looking at the reviews across several review websites. Very unprofessional.

Why,why did I not read the reviews…

Why,why did I not read the reviews before ordering. Every plant had come out of its pot and plants were just buried under all the soil. Clematis was snapped off and lilac tree was one branch. Everything was much smaller than advertised ,weak and poor quality. I'm discusted and very annoyed. Will never use them again.

Beechwood Nurseries Ltd

Do not even deserve 1 star.
Ordered a hardy tree from this company.
The tracking did not work. No telephone no supplied and kept getting through to other companies with same name who were constantly being called with complaints about this company.Thought was scamed .
The tree did arrive after 1st complaint email. But arrived battered in a pot which was broken pot tree was half dead.
Rude customer service. Refused to acknowledge any problem and refused any refund .After 5 emails with photos of tree's decline, kept blaming me for planting the tree and trying to revive it!!! Really appauling customer service at every level.
Never use this company. Never been treated like this .

Crap quality and service

Ordered three bamboos, one arrived, emailed them to notify and they sent the other two but when they arrived they were nothing like the first one, when I emailed to complain I got told they were fine and to plant them, no apology, no acceptance there was a problem, like they were used to supplying sub standard quality plants and then telling the customer they’re ok

Wish I'd read the reviews

Wish I'd read the reviews. Bought bare root trees, they arrived wrapped in clingfilm and totally dried out with very little root system. I followed the bare rood instructions but was not optimistic and needless to say no life emerged.
Wrote to the company, didn't ask for refund just perhaps a discount on live plants but they said all they could do was wait until next year. Really, next year's no good to me as they presumably know.
