I worked remotely with 33Carat
I worked remotely with 33Carat, and I must say this has been one of the most unprofessional and unethical experiences of my career.
On 30th August, I received an abrupt email stating that 31st August would be my last working day no prior notice, no professional discussion, not even a proper call explaining the reason. This speaks volumes about how they treat their employees.
The irony? My exit was not based on performance. In fact, despite being hired as a Performance Marketing Specialist, I willingly contributed to multiple marketing functions and delivered real, tangible results. Their stated reason for termination? That I was getting married in October and it might "affect project performance." Laughable and absolutely unacceptable.
It was clear they used me to fix their broken project (33carat.com), and once the major issues were resolved, the CEO himself flipped and terminated me along with two other core members. No notice period. No September salary. Nothing but corporate exploitation at its worst.
This is not just unprofessional it’s unethical, manipulative, and disrespectful to the people who actually drive results for them.
And to anyone impressed by their so-called 5-star reviews be aware that the majority of them are fake, paid for through agencies. Even today, their website continues to lag despite all the internal politics and dirty games played at the cost of employees.
33Carat stands as an example of how not to run a business or treat people.
