Very professional engineer did a job with attention to detail

We would like to provide feedback regarding the two engineer visits we received from 24/7.
The first engineer, Halil, was polite and courteous throughout the visit and meant well. However, the overall experience was disappointing. He spent many hours at our property, appeared to become increasingly frustrated with the job, and needed to take frequent breaks. Unfortunately, he left the work area in a very untidy state, requiring us to clean up for a long time, after he left.
At the end of the visit, we were informed that our boiler was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. Before leaving, he also tested the heating system but left it switched on. As the mains power had been turned off and on multiple times during the visit, the connection to our Hive thermostat was disrupted, leaving us unable to switch the heating off. During the summer, this resulted in the house becoming uncomfortably hot, creating a particularly difficult environment for the child and elderly family members living in the property.
We contacted 24/7 as an emergency, as we urgently needed assistance to turn the heating off. Unfortunately, we were advised that another engineer could not attend until the following day. Given the circumstances, we found this response disappointing and felt it posed an unnecessary risk to our household.
The following day, Marvin attended our property, and the experience was completely different. He was calm, patient, knowledgeable, and highly professional. He quickly identified and resolved the issues, ensured everything was working correctly, left the work area clean and tidy, and took the time to make sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. His expertise and approach were greatly appreciated, and he restored our confidence in the service.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively. While we appreciate Halil's polite manner, and understand that his intentions were pure and good, and that he tried his best, the quality of the service provided during his visit fell well below expectations. In contrast, Marvin delivered an excellent standard of workmanship and customer care, and we believe he deserves recognition for his kind, professional, efficient service.

Clear communication. Good offers and cheaper than I thought

What I wasn't expecting for my Landlord Gas Certificate inspection was a Self Employed Gas Engineer rather than a 'branded' employee of 24/7 Home Rescue. It's lucky I live close to the property as he called when just 20 minutes away from the property. The emails says 30-60 minutes.
On arrival he didn't introduce himself or offer any identification.
At just 10 minutes into the inspection having checked the Mains Gas pressure and then relocated upstairs to the boiler, he claims to have taken the front of the boiler off and conducted the necessary checks. Instead he calls me to show me the Carbon Monoxide reading in the Flue above the boiler. After explaining it was almost double the permitted tolerance, he condemned the boiler and cut the gas supply pipe to the boiler leaving me with a Tennant with no boiler for hot water. He explained that the 'Office' would contact me in the morning. There was absolutely no attempt by the engineer to locate the potential issue that may have caused the extreme CO reading, but simply declaring... "It's an old boiler and these things happen. I have to condemn at least one boiler a day". This made me feel a little suspicious.
In the morning, an independent Gas Engineer that I arranged arrived to examine the boiler. After reconnecting the gas supply to the boiler and having looked at several different potential issues, including examining the flue externally, he noted that the boiler gas regulator valve appeared to have been opened excessively causing an excess of fuel into the burner. Once adjusted, the CO levels fell within acceptable parameters. As did the ratios.
At 12:41 I received a telephone call from 247 Home Rescue. Expecting the call to be the Engineering Departmment wanting to arrange repairs, I was astounded to realise that it was infact the Sales Department calling to suggest that I don't waste money on repairs, but consider purchasing a replacement boiler. Absolutely astounded at the Hard Sell tactics by the girl on the call, I am once again very suspicious of the integrity of 247 Home Rescue and their self employed engineers.
It is now over 24 hrs since the 24/7 engineer condemned the boiler and isolated the gas and other than Sales, I have not heard from 24/7 with regards to repairing the boiler. Disgraceful.

I have been with 247 home rescue for over a year now.
I have never been so satisfied with another company.
247 rescue customer service and rescue availability is on different level.
They gave me a £250 voucher towards my washing machine.
We had massive leak in the property in main living room, I phoned these guys and they came the very same day and fixed the whole leak, even helped me take the rotten floor board off.
i called the electricity guy to check for fluctuation causing in 1 room but engineer checked all the rooms while he was there.
All in all really good company for a little price.

Was given a three hour window on the morning of the service visit. This updated during the day. Was contacted by Shah to say he would be with me in 49 mins. He arrived within that timeframe, worked quickly and efficiently and tidied up afterwards. Good service

Easy to sign up

Really good service. Plumber booked within a couple of days, arrived as scheduled, polite and courteous, carried out repair with little fuss, left the place tidy. Could not fault service from start to finish.
