Since adding our business, our credit card has been used 3 times as a scam including money from business directory, froze the card and got money back. Do not use this directory.

I would give no stars if I could. I paid the £1 verification which was refunded, no contracts signed, no indication that they then would be charging £12 per month which I never agreed to, I don't know how to stop this, so I'm going to have to phone my bank up as they have now taken 3 £12 payments. Which I never noticed at first as my mum was ill in hospital and then died. So on top of all the other things going on I could definitely have done with out this

I only interacted with 118 Business Directory once for what was described as a £1 verification payment. The £1 was refunded, and I assumed that was the end of it. A few days later, £12 was taken from my account without any notification, contract, or consent.

This company clearly misleads customers by disguising recurring or additional payments behind what looks like a harmless verification check. I never agreed to any subscription or listing service. When I disputed the charge through my bank, they confirmed that 118 Business Directory processed the £12 through Apple Pay using the same token from the £1 “verification.”

Be extremely cautious, this looks like a deceptive payment setup designed to trick people into unwanted charges. I’ve reported the company to my bank, Apple Pay’s fraud department, and the Financial Ombudsman.

Had an account opened for "free" but asked for the credit card details. Later on, I realized I had 2 identical listings on the site each costing £12 per month. I asked the 118businessdirectory team for numerous times to give me the invoices for all transactions - 3 of £12 and several of £1 but without any luck. I have then ask them to cancel the listings, several times, again no good answer. One time they came back to me asking "what, both?" or something, but rehardless of the fact that I've replied imediately, the answer hasn't come from them. The credit card company is waiting for me to cancel the card and issue a new one, but I want to wait one more week before doing that as it will be painfull for me.

118 is very efficient!! They are absolutely brilliant with a very helpful team and solid work ethic.. can’t fault them at all

I wrote a previous review and they replied asking me to send information and they will promptly reply. Had no reply but had to complain today again via email as more money was taken. I did get a response back but they claim I signed up to premium listing which I did not! Done it to quite a few people if you look at more reviews. Avoid!!! Scam people out of money. I registered for the free listing which says enter details and 1p will be pending to confirm listing but in fact they take monthly money from you account saying you’ve signed up to premium listing. Can’t physically talk to anyone.

Just eat is lovely but the food in my area doesn’t vary enough so I always want to order from other areas. Just eat allows me to do that.

Same issues as others, somehow I have ended up being billed £12 which I never remember agreeing to.

Look if its happening to this many customers you really have to ask yourself why 118businessdirectory does not make it more clear.

Oh and what a surprise there is no phone numbers absolutely anywhere and your expected to just send an email and hope they get back to you.

I listed myself ( I am self employed) on the free 118 business website.
To confirm who I was they wanted me to put in a card that they charged £1 to and would refund.
After I had completed the "free" listing I received an email saying that I had been listed in their prime and could canel within 7 days by logging into my account (I tried and there was not an option to cancel the listing) or by emailing and then the address was given. I sent 2 emails to cancel the listing.
Guess what I was charged.
