It's complicated..,
I ordered two mugs first. From order to delivery was about 3 weeks. I thought they looked cool, so I ordered 4 more to give me a complete set. While I was waiting another 2 weeks, I noticed that one of the two I had was a little smaller than the other. It was then I noticed that the larger mug had 'chuug v2' on the bottom and the smaller one did not. The other 4 came 3 days ago, and when I checked them I found that only one had chuug v2 and the other 3 had nothing. So instead of having a complete 6 mug set, I have two of one kind and 4 of a smaller kind. I emailed them but have yet to hear back. I think they sent me 4 old mugs. That's dirty pool.

I lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star after exchanging emails with Chuug about the mismatched mugs. They blamed it on 'mixed production runs', but that is just pure BS. They either have no final inspection before shipping, or they knew and sent anyway. Whatever the case may be, I paid 'new mug' prices, and I received old stock for it. I also forgot to mention that of the emblems glued onto two sides of each mug, at least one if not both, were crooked. I can't tell if they're supposed to look like an x or +. When I brought it up, I was told all about what the emblem means--which was totally irrelevant. So, 6 mugs with taxes and shipping, plus 1/3 cost for tariff, brings my total to at least $400. To return them for a refund would bring my cost down to around $130, but that would be for nothing. Anyone want to buy a brand new Chuug for $30+shipping? I have one of each they sell.

Chuug gets a two-star boost! After my complaint about different mugs, they assured me again that all my mugs were the new version, but I still didn't believe them andI asked for a refund. They simply asked, "For how many?" After careful consideration, I told them I would just keep the mugs. That, combined with what I had already invested in them, it would cost too much to ship back, and I would just give them as gifts. They offered to refund 50% of my purchase price for the 4 I had just received. I agreed and the refund was processed. No strings, no returns, no conditions, just a partial refund, which I think, was very kind on their part. They do care about their customers, even after they have the money. Bravo!
