Rip Off and item not fit for purpose

20 DAYS LATER AND HEARD NOTHING DESPITE THEIR CLAIM TO INVESTIGATE AND GET BACK TO ME PROMPTLY. PATHETIC.
I was given a present of one Motion Sensor Plug In diffuser. It never seemed to work properly and now doesn't work at all. A friend of mine had an identical product which does work so I examined it and discovered that the internal small bottle dispenser assembly is faulty as the friend's works in my device perfectly. I contacted The White Company as I'd seen a replacement spare on their web site for £7 so was happy to pay for this rather than burden the person who had given me the gift. The response from The White Company chat agent was that I could NOT get the spare part and would have to purchase a complete device at £60+ !!!! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

simple question unanswered

I raised the simplest of questions - what are the dimensions of your unit, since the website clearly had an error. I was told I would have an answer within 48-72 hours which is ridiculous in itself. Never got an answer so my company will go elsewhere for its six units.

Great experience from start to finish

Unlike other experiences with some rental agents and suppliers, Master Kings proved to be a great choice for our car picked up at Faro Airport. Booked via Zest agents, very simple process, good communication and responses and the whole end to end experience was first class. Pick up and drop off very efficient. No hidden extras.

Great all round performance

Unlike other experiences with some rental agents and suppliers, Zest proved to be a great choice for our car picked up at Faro Airport. Very simple process, good communication and responses and the whole end to end experience was first class. Same can be said for the Master Kings the actual car supplier at airport. Pick up and drop off very efficient. No hidden extras.

Overcharged & Debt Collector Threats

I booked a car for holiday in Spain last July. Booked through Holiday Autos and paid the additional CDW through Holiday Autos. At pickup in Spain the Hertz/Firefly desk charged me an extra £150 for CDW but when I explained that I'd already paid for CDW the chap at the desk said I'd be refunded when I returned car. I was in a rush so didn't have time to argue further. When I returned the car (fully fueled!) the desk was closed! There then followed a nine month dispute case which I raised via Bank/Mastercard where they ruled in my favour. However, I was then threatened with legal action and use of a debt collection agency to recover the £150 they had wrongly charged. Given my health issues and a hospital appointment I decided to pay as I couldn't have this hanging over my head at the same time.
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

Don't book via Holiday Autos or Firefly

I booked via Holiday Autos and they are equally to blame. The booking through Holiday Autos was for a car from Firefly. I paid for Damage insurance and when I picked up car, at the Firefly desk they took a deposit which the chap at desk assured me was for fuel and damage. I said I'd already paid for insurance on damage waiver and he insisted the deposit was for fuelling. I still have £150 debit on my credit card. A complete scam.

Poor product & pathetic response

Just over a year ago I purchased a "Corner sofa set cover" which is supposed to protect the outdoor sofa in the winter and any inclement weather. It cost £70 and is no longer fit for purpose. Apart from severe fading which reduces it to a most unsightly item, it has torn like tissue paper. Utterly useless and should have lasted much longer than a year. The response I got from Very was pathetic and they insisted I pay for an "engineer" to assess the product before they would do anything. Ridiculous.

Extortionate prices and overall shoddy customer service performance.

I needed to replace both tailgate struts on a Vauxhall Corsa. First I was given a number for their spare parts department in Wimbledon. The number was obsolete and after trying for three days went back to another branch to enquire and they gave me a different number. Waited for 45 minutes on new number and then given a quote of £56 for a single strut. I was expecting somewhere between £10 and £20. Went back online to search and found quotes from indepenedent suppliers with maximum of £12. I have now purchased two at £10.

Extortionate prices and overall shoddy customer service performance.

Not even worth one star

Not even worth one star. Flight from Gatwick to Edinburgh cancelled three times and fourth attempt required taxi at 5 in the morning to get to Stansted. Second flight was cancelled 90 minutes after departure time. Third flight cancelled at 0230am four hours ahead. No help given and had to make own arrangements for transportation and accommodation amongst the thousands doing likewise. No assistance at all and I saw a lady in her seventies who was clearly distressed offered no help whatsoever. A "fend for yourselves" attitude where customer experience now counts for nothing. Disgusting management approach.

Beware. Rubbish deals, hidden costs

Booked a hire car in Spain with a "good deal" of about £130 for the week. Arrived at Delpaso to pick up car and they didn't accept Amex or a debit card as security so had to pay an extra £140!! You can see the small print after you've done the deal. Absolutely disgraceful.

Arrived late and shabby product

Ordered a "Vanilla Sky" arrangement for family impacted by COVID. Paid extra for same day delivery as that was vital. It didn't arrive on same day despite being ordered at 10am. Upon seeing a photo of what arrived I was disgusted. My daughter placed the ordder for me and there was no apology about late delivery. Overall rubbish service.

Food good, Covid measures bad.

We went to the Horsham restaurant during August where the food has always been good. The food was fine this time too but there was scant regard for the Covid safety measures. At least one waiter did not wear a mask at all, the sanitizer was hidden behind a door and nobody advised us of its existence and there was no distancing in place with tables. Very disappointing and for this reason we will choose other establishments for some time.

Like Steven Lee, I commend this company

I echo comments from Steven Lee. I was skeptical about the whole thing but always got a swift and efficient response from "Daniel". Even with the Covid thing and having to get the package delivered by snail mail via all sorts of places, Daniel responded and refunded the extra air freight premium immediately. The goods have arrived. Really delighted and recommend this company.
