Excellent service until purchase, product and after sales not meeting expectations


I ordered from Gotain for the first time after seeing their Instagram ads. Before placing the order, I had 3–4 online consultations and many emails over the course of about three months with Niklas, who was incredibly helpful and patient with our many questions and long decision-making process. We were very thorough with measurements and re-measured the windows and walls multiple times. Up until placing the order, the customer experience was excellent and gave us a lot of confidence.

I was very excited to finally receive the Roman blinds and curtains, but unfortunately the experience after delivery has been disappointing.
1. Curtains: The sheer curtains ended up being shorter than expected. The top attachment to the rail takes approximately a couple cm more than anticipated, which results in the curtains hanging about 3 cm above the floor instead of the intended near-floor length. For made-to-measure, floor-length curtains, this is quite noticeable and disappointing.
2. Roman blinds: We ordered two separate Roman blinds that were clearly specified to be installed next to each other, with the requirement that both the height and the horizontal fold lines align precisely. During our consultations, we were assured that this would not be an issue. However, once installed, the blinds do not align, and the difference is clearly visible.

Unfortunately, Niklas has since left the company, and I have struggled to get a response from customer service regarding these issues, despite reaching out by email. This lack of follow-up has been especially disappointing after such a positive pre-sales experience.

Overall, while the consultation phase was excellent, the final result and after-sales support did not meet my expectations for a premium, made-to-measure service. At this point, I am unsure whether I would recommend Gotain to family and friends.

Pakken blev leveret til den forkerte…

Pakken blev leveret til den forkerte pakkeshop på den anden side af byen…


Edit: Det, I skriver, stemmer desværre ikke overens med forløbet.

Jeg valgte selv en helt specifik pakkeshopadresse ved bestillingen, og denne adresse blev også sendt til afsenderen. Alligevel blev pakken leveret til en helt anden pakkeshop på den anden side af byen.

Kan I venligst forklare, hvorfor der skulle være givet en anden adresse til jer end den, jeg selv angav?

Crap service

Crap service!

I booked bring through their website to send 2 letters from Denmark to Sweden via express only for them to return the letters and charging for the returns again. I checked tracking and it says that it was requested by the sender to return the letters which is not true. They have never contacted me. They say the address is incomplete which is also not correct. Whenever I use PostNord with the same address, the letters always arrive without any problems just very delayed. Would never book through this website again.

I placed an order from this site for…

I placed an order from this site for the first time. It was a learning tower. Delivery was really fast, but one item was missing, so we couldn’t build the learning tower at the end.

I first contacted their customer service who just told me to raise claim through a link. The person handling the claims has been very unfriendly and not very helpful. Still waiting for a reply. Luckily I have „paid“ with Klarna, so will raise this with them next week if my order is not getting solved.

Stay away! They are likely going bankrupt

Booked flights with them from Germany to Vietnam for the first time. Old Website is pretty useless, but the new one still doesn’t work properly either.
They cancelled my flights now and are not replying to any of my emails for refund. Same happened to my aunt.

There were news a couple months ago that they are going bankrupt which they denied. But looking at the recent news that they are unable to pay the wages of their international pilots, they are clearly struggling financially as a business. Stay away from them as you won’t get your money back if you book with them.

Booked + paid for infant seat, but they don’t have any

We booked through their website a taxi for 3 people (including a baby) through their website. On their website, you can book an extra infant seat for an additional fee to go to Malaga the next day. They confirmed the booking and we paid 20 euros in advance. After the booking confirmation they tell us they don’t have any baby seats, but they will drive very safely. We cancelled the trip and most likely will lose the 20 euros but we don’t care. Better safe then sorry.

Total scam! Cannot recommend this company. Family with kids please stay away from this company.

Expensive and really bad product quality

I recently bought the scrunch earrings through Finematter for the first time and I was really disappointed by the quality of the product since they have been quite expensive as well. I have only worn them once but the colour already faded and is becoming rusty.

I was really upset since I bought them for my wedding the Tuesday after.

Update: I contacted them and they sent me new ones via express delivery! They also apologised and explained that they had some issues with one batch of box packaging that they think has been reacting with affected jewellery and causing the sudden tarnish.
So, I'm very glad that everything turned out well at the end and happy that they solved it very quickly.

Fast shipping and good customer experience!

I recently bought earrings from this website for the first time and as really disappointed by the quality of the product since they have been quite expensive as well. I have only worn them once but the colour faded and became all rusty. I was really upset because I bought these earrings for my wedding the week after and could no longer wear them nor had alternatives. Even though the return window had already passed, I still contacted them and sent them pictures of my faulty pair of earrings.

Update: In collaboration with the jewellery brand, Finematter sent me new earrings via express delivery. The earrings arrived in time before my wedding and I wore them on my big day. :)
Finematter took my case very serious and solved it in the best and fastest way possible. They apologised and also sent me an extra something to make it up. I'm very happy with the service provided and that everything turned out well at the end. Their customer service was also super friendly!

Truly a disappointment!

Truly a disappointment!

I ordered two plant pots for the first time from this site and was utterly shocked when they arrived. One plant pot was completely broken and unusable and the other pot had bits and pieces falling off from the edges. This was clearly not the delivery company's fault, but definitely on Fleurdirect.

Both pots - especially the broken one - were so shockingly poorly packed. The broken pot was not even wrapped in bubble wrap, but simply put in a cardboard box. Then they put one layer of bubble wrap into that pot before they put the other smaller pot inside the big one. The smaller pot was at least wrapped with (only) one layer of bubble wrap which was still not enough obviously. There was no 'FRAGILE' sticker on the cardboard box either to inform the delivery company that they are transporting fragile products.

One can really wonder how can they even think that the pots were safely packed and would not break during the transportation. This truly just mirrors their ignorance and extremely poor level of service. Please step up your game

According to the order agreement, we are allowed to request a return within 14 days of receiving the order. When we contacted you 2 days after receiving the order, we were told that we are not allowed to return. Since then, we’ve been trying to get in touch with you to solve this with no reply! What a incompetent customer service. The first and definitely last time that we will order from Hay!! Don’t even bother with this company

Don't even bother with Hay

We placed a quite big order with Hay for the first time. We have received part of the order already and are happy with most of the items. However, we would like to return one of the tables (not a custom-made or bespoke item). According to the order agreement, we are allowed to request a return within 14 days of receiving the order. When we contacted Hay 2 days after receiving the order, we just got a reply from them:

"Since the products are order produced it is not possible for you to return furniture,

Changed or cancellations should be made within 48 hours for you receive the order confirmation."

Now we are trying to return the table and exchange for two other items, but it's like impossible.
We called them, they just told us they will come back to but never did. We chased them several times on email with no reply. This is absolute ridiculous and such a bad customer experience. We will never buy from this brand again. Such crap customer service, don't even bother!!

I ordered two plant pots from them…

I ordered two plant pots from them mid-April. In the confirmation email it says that one pot is available mid-April and the other one beginning of June.

Now, one month later I still haven't received the pot that was available mid-April. When I check the product page now, it says Mid-June while the other pot is now suddenly available already. But I have received no further update on my order status and have no clue when I can finally receive my order.

Reply to the answer below: Yes, your colleague sent me an email, but I replied back. It's mid-June now, 2 months after I placed my order and I still haven't received my order nor an update (if it is further delayed as promised in your reply below). This is totally unacceptable and I want my money back. Please refund me the money ASAP!

My collegue did send an email to you at may 12th about the delay. We will send both pots when we receive the other pot from the supplier. Hopefully it will be in june, but because of Covid-19 restrictions some suppliers are having a hard time delivering orders at the right time. If the order should be delayed further, you will receive an email from os.

Complicated customer order journey, but great products!

I live in Denmark and wanted to order from Chilly's Bottles Website. It took me quite a while to find the actual website where I can place an order from Denmark. I kept landing on the UK site and another one where I couldn't select Denmark as the shipping destination. There was no pop-up window or menu on the site where you can simply switch to the respected country website. That was quite annoying and I could imagine other people wouldn't have the patience to keep looking for the right website to order.

However, everything went well apart from that and we love our new water bottles and coffee cups! The new design is great and much more convenient.

This was my first time ordering from…

This was my first time ordering from PLNTS.com after reading so many good reviews! All my baby plants arrived in perfect conditions and are healthy. I'm also happy with the pots and soil packages that I have ordered. But there are a few things to point out though:
- I received the wrong watering can. However, their CC was very quick in replying and sent me a discount code for the price of that watering can. So I can purchase the right watering can next time.
- There was a big moth flying out of one of the baby plant boxes. I repotted all my plants because I was too afraid that it laid eggs.
- My M sized Alocasia Frydek arrived with fungus (spots on the leaf). I have been in touch with CC and they confirmed this a week later and told me how to treat it. But, this is an unpleasant experience given the fungus can spread to other plants as well.... :(
- My Philodendron Verrucosum arrived with 2 damaged leaves (and one had really weird black spots). I cut off the later one and now the plant is recovering and looking fine.

Overall, I'm more or less happy with my plant order!
I have ordered plants online from other places many times before. Comparing to my experience with other online sites, this one is not a 5* experience and came with a bit of hassle for me. All plants are doing well now (except the Alocasia Frydek with the fungus).

Their Customer Service is unbelievable!!!

I've sent parcel a parcel to customer via Express. However, after several failed delivery attempts, we had to change the delivery address. The first time, I contacted them to change the delivery address (a Thursday), they assured me that they have passed this to the Depot and the parcel will be delivered the next day (a Friday). On Monday, the parcel has still not be delivered and I contacted them again and asked them again why this was not delivered to the new address yet. They told me that the customer has to contact them and only then, they can re-deliver. I've passed this to the customer and she tried to get hold of them several times until they told her that only the sender can change it. What on earth?! Every time, we contact them they advise us something different. The parcel still hasn't been delivered and it's been over a week now.

I've ordered for the first time with…

I've ordered for the first time with Ace & Tate and was really excited about my new glasses.

I placed my order on the 15 August 2020 and received an email on the 20th August that my order is in transit. Since then, I had no further delivery update and it's been 2 weeks now in total. I have contacted their Customer Service Team twice, but heaven't heard back either. At this point, I'm not sure yet if I would recommend them to friends and family to be honest.

I'm utterly shocked by their level of…

I'm utterly shocked by their level of service and wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

I've booked with them a courier at 4pm on a Monday and told them twice to wait at the main entrance/reception. No one showed up and there was no notification of any delay either. Half an hour later, I've called their customer service and the lady told me that the driver should be there in 15 minutes. I've received another call 15 minutes later that the driver is at the loading bay, but I told them again that he should come to the main entrance please as booked in. 15 minutes later still no driver, so I called again and then a different lady tells me that the parcel was collected while I'm still waiting with the parcel at the main entrance! But she kept insisting that my parcel was collected already... she was just super unhelpful.
I told her several that my parcel is still here and no driver has arrived yet. Then, she finally checked with the driver and then said "he will be there in 15 minutes". I told her that I've been waiting for an hour now and have to leave and asked her to re-schedule the courier. She just relied "yes we can do that but there is a cancellation fee on top" ... like seriously?!
At 5.15pm (75 minutes) later a confused driver finally came to the main entrance and said that he was waiting somewhere else and wasn't told to go the main entrance. He was also saying that he tried to call my number, but it didn't work...while his colleague has reached me on my number before. I'm just shocked of all their excuses.

And this wasn't even the end of the story: they apparently couldn't deliver the parcel and kept it on hold at their office. I've received an email about it with a phone number to call back. My colleague and I tried to reach someone several times the next day to reschedule the delivery, and no one picked up the phone or replied to our email.

After many more attempts we finally heard back that our parcel has been delivered. But I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. It just gives you loads of headache for ONE delivery only.
