Excellent service until purchase, product and after sales not meeting expectations
I ordered from Gotain for the first time after seeing their Instagram ads. Before placing the order, I had 3–4 online consultations and many emails over the course of about three months with Niklas, who was incredibly helpful and patient with our many questions and long decision-making process. We were very thorough with measurements and re-measured the windows and walls multiple times. Up until placing the order, the customer experience was excellent and gave us a lot of confidence.
I was very excited to finally receive the Roman blinds and curtains, but unfortunately the experience after delivery has been disappointing.
1. Curtains: The sheer curtains ended up being shorter than expected. The top attachment to the rail takes approximately a couple cm more than anticipated, which results in the curtains hanging about 3 cm above the floor instead of the intended near-floor length. For made-to-measure, floor-length curtains, this is quite noticeable and disappointing.
2. Roman blinds: We ordered two separate Roman blinds that were clearly specified to be installed next to each other, with the requirement that both the height and the horizontal fold lines align precisely. During our consultations, we were assured that this would not be an issue. However, once installed, the blinds do not align, and the difference is clearly visible.
Unfortunately, Niklas has since left the company, and I have struggled to get a response from customer service regarding these issues, despite reaching out by email. This lack of follow-up has been especially disappointing after such a positive pre-sales experience.
Overall, while the consultation phase was excellent, the final result and after-sales support did not meet my expectations for a premium, made-to-measure service. At this point, I am unsure whether I would recommend Gotain to family and friends.
