Another great week spent at the cabins…
Another great week spent at the cabins in Cropton Forest.We received a warm and friendly greeting on arrival, cabin was cosy warm and clean.
Our group consisted of me, my husband, our adult daughter, and our grandson,aged 9. He loved the hot tub, as did we.... lovely and warm and clean. We also had 2 dogs with us.
We took the walk to Keldy one day, and had lunch in the Retreat there....bit scary on the way back, having to walk through some cows and a bull, which had unfortunately gathered around the gate we needed to exit by!! Had an evening meal in the Retreat at Cropton, staff at both venues were helpful and friendly, they even provide blankets for your dog's to sit on, biscuits and water.
We love walking in the forest...so peaceful.
Visited Pickering and Helmsley too, two towns well worth a visit.
We can't recommend Forest Holidays enough, never had a bad experience here.
The only thing I would say, is that this time we paid £60 for the TV/WiFi package, mostly for our grandson in case of bad weather/ evenings in.
On Wednesday the system was being updated, we couldn't use it in the morning, but then it was not in operation most of the day due to problems. Out of a Monday-Friday break, which is only three full days in reality, to be unusable for most of one of those days, was rather annoying.As Forest Holidays had planned this work, it was a bit harsh to still charge the full price?
However, this in no way spoilt our enjoyment of our holiday, nor were any staff members to blame for this.
We will be back next year! Thank you everyone.
