Will automatically move your time-limited subscription onto a rolling annual basis, without asking or informing you. The agent confirmed Hearst Magazine don't feel the need to check this with you before taking your money.

IKEA would only offer a gift card when I tried to return two cast iron pans. They refused a refund on the basis that I had opened the boxes, even though the pans and the boxes were still in perfect condition. I would find this just about reasonable (albeit harsh) if they were to spell this out in their return policy, but they don’t. They describe their refund policy as ‘generous’ and say exceptions are limited to: ‘We are unable to offer refunds or exchange for custom made worktops, food or drinks.’ It doesn’t say explicitly anywhere that if a box has been opened, even if the product itself has not been used and is in resaleable condition, you cannot get a refund.

When there was an issue with the initial bed I received, the company dealt with the matter very well. I was impressed with their customer service. My delivery driver, Abdul, was friendly and helpful.
