I bought a can that costs €1.90 elsewhere, but on Zooplus it cost me €2.99. They’re basically ripping us off.

I'm ordering years from them. But now that they have switched couriers it's bad. What were they thinking? Which is the worst courier in Greece and pick them for fun. My delivery is at the courier center since 6 of April. I contacted them and they answered that they made an official complaint and if my delivery isn't in 1 or 2 days to contact them again. Contact them again to do what? Go to Germany and pick it up myself? My order has something eatable in there and I'll probably throw it away. This courier don't answer the phone, don't send messages, don't leave a note and most important they don't come.

This was my worst experience with an online pet supply store. They wanted my money immediately, but for a medical product I needed for my cat, which was readily available and in stock, they had an unacceptably long delivery time.
No explanation, no notification, nothing. This company (at least the Greek branch) is in my eyes absolutely not recommended.
My advise? Stay away from them! Thank goodness there are reliable alternatives. I closed my account today.
The dogs loves the treats i bought front here and it was a good price, unfortunately when the package arrived, 2 out of 4 plastic boxes was completely smashed and the treats was all over the cardboard box.
I was very happy with zooplus for the last years, as deliveries very normally pretty fast. For months now I have problems with wrong items I receive, parcels taking 3 weeks or the newest eushippment service, that does not deliver in Greece, but instead the parcel sits forever with Elta. Elta has closed a lot of offices, so now even when the parcel finally reaches my town, it takes me days to locate it and pick it up. I need to find another shop, where I can rely on the shipment.
I have used Zooplus for several years, but this last year their logistics have been diabolical. Not getting picked and shipped for up to 4 days (delivery time scale 7 working days), sitting at DHL in Germany for up to two weeks, then on top of that taking 10 days for ACS to send it from Athens to the South Aegean.
Every time I complain (it’s the package is lost), no it’s not it’s sat in Germany with the worst courier service other than ACS and speedex.
No wonder your reviews are only 2.7 and you don’t deserve that, you put profit before customers. Appalling.
A warning to all Greek customers: Zooplus is a trap. Lured by what seemed to be the best price, I reluctantly gave them a second chance after a previous failure. This was a profound error in judgment.
Their first layer of deception is their .gr domain, strategically designed to mislead you into thinking you are dealing with a local, efficient Greek store. This is a lie. They ship from an undisclosed location abroad, adding weeks to the delivery timeline.
However, the true consumer abuse begins with their choice of last-mile carrier: ACS. Zooplus, in its infinite wisdom, has partnered with the single worst courier in Greece, and you are given zero say in the matter. What followed was a textbook ACS disaster: phantom delivery attempts, a tracking page that is a monument to vagueness, and absolute zero customer service when calls go unanswered.
After two weeks of the package being "in Greece," it never arrived. I have cancelled the order. This marks the second time I have been subjected to this exact, pathetic sequence of failures. The combination of Zooplus's deceptive practices and their alliance with a notoriously terrible carrier makes them completely unworthy of your business. They are an utter disgrace.
They're sending me a parcel without a reminder beforehand and ignore every attempt to get in touch with them. My lawyer is going to deal with them now. Avoid this company at all costs! All they want is your money. Order from anywhere but here.
Delivery delayed for weeks, they said they cancelled the item but instead sent it again! Took several email to get refund and the deliveries are still not cancelled!!
Ordered a water fountain for my cats. The product was amazing, the order was right on time and the checkout experience of the site was superb! This site is a must for online pet supplies.
