Ronson MDX Torch Quality With No Consumer Support

I bought said torch 7 days ago. It worked briefly then the flame progressively got weaker despite being full. I emailed Zippo consumer relations with picture and they said it was operating normally. Per their one-year limited warranty, they specifically state “To obtain proper instructions for service under this limited warranty, refer to repair instructions at zippo.com or contact Zippo Consumer Relations at [email address withheld due to review form], or 1-888-442-1932. Do not return the Product to the retail store”.

Consumer relations said if I want a refund I need to return it to the retail store where I bought it from. This is lousy customer support for an inferior product. BEWARE!

Customer service is appalling.i contacted them about using butane gas in their gas insert for zippo lighter.on the photo of gas they advertised they specifically say DO NOT USE WITH WINDPROOF LIGHTERS.yet when I ask about it,they just send a link that specified not to use the gas with windproof lighter.tried to get them to ring me,but they wouldn’t,just kept getting the same useless information from them

ZIPPO CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWEFUL!

WILL NEVER BUY A ZIPPO AGAIN!! Yankee Candle electronic candle lighter broke 6 mths after purchase with little use. Customer service was very helpful in saying they would send a replacement out to me... however, it has been 3 months and 3 failed shipping attempts to send replacement! The first 2 were sent USPS without tracking, so who knows where they are. The 3rd was supposed to be sent UPS so there was tracking, but over a week later it still hadn't arrived. I had to call twice to discover that one had also been sent USPS! They are now sending a FOURTH (4th) replacement USP... hopefully. Last representative was very rude and spoke down to me when I expresses frustration over the situation!! I asked her 3 times to escalate and she refused! She then said they would ship another UPS. I asked her to call me with the tracking number once that was created. I doubt I will hear from her of EVER get a replacement lighter.

There are tons of reviews about Zippo

There are tons of reviews about Zippo. People complain about the hinge, the cap doesn’t fit very tightly, the quality and so on. When you buy a zippo online, you might just be buying a copy of Zippo. You won’t get the quality with a knockoff. If you want a Zippo, go to the Zippo website and buy your Zippo. I placed a call to them with a question, and yes it a day or two to get a return call, but they did follow up. She also explained that they are in the process of improving customer service and that they know that they’re behind. I had a Zippo when I was in the military many years ago, and the Zippo I purchased just a week ago is just as reliable and robust! Buy your Zippo from their website, you’re not paying more and you will get a genuine Zippo with the “lifetime warranty” Enjoy!!!

Poor product, poor service

• Bought 2 lighters.
• One is not working.
• Emailed Zippo Australia to ask whether I have to send the lighter all the way to the US for repairs.
• ...*crickets*

So half the products were faulty and their customer service is non-existent. Recommend avoiding them.
