My Zing app suddenly stopped working, and despite reinstalling and contacting support, nothing was fixed. Instead, they cancelled my account altogether. To make it worse, I was charged £104 for a subscription that should have been £40. No refund, no explanation, just money taken and service lost. Completely unacceptable. BEWARE before signing up.

Scam
I signed up for a free trial. I realised it wasn't for me and hadn't used it.cI went on holiday and came back to find I had been charged £66.65 for zing coach. I have no idea why, and certainly don't remember reading about this charge. As soon as I saw the charge I reached out to Zing and asked for a refund and cancellation. They cancelled but refused a refund. They said I was outside of the refund window and gave links to their refund policies. I'm at a loss to know how I signed up for the subscription as certainly wouldn't have done it I'd known how much it was going to cost. Reading reviews on hear, I'm not the only one this has happened to, so it's not as transparent as Zing are implying. It feels underhand and untrustworthy.

To clarify, we always display the subscription details — including the price, trial duration, and auto-renewal — on the final confirmation screen before the trial begins and also in the invoice users receive after making the purchase. That said, we understand that these details may not always be as noticeable as they should be, especially if you're exploring the app quickly.
We also do our best to process cancellations as quickly as possible, and while our refund policy is clearly outlined, we know this can still feel frustrating — especially if you hadn’t intended to continue beyond the trial.
Your feedback is important, and we’re taking it seriously. We're constantly working to improve transparency and communication during onboarding to avoid this kind of confusion in the future.

Not worth it
I’m glad some others have had a good experience but, mine was far from that. I used the app for a time but, saw zero results from the daily workouts. I cancelled my subscription since I wasn’t seeing results but, was still charged. I reached out the day I saw the unexpected charge and was told they would cancel but, they wouldn’t refund the amount even though I didn’t even have the app anymore much less use it because it should have been cancelled prior. I wouldn’t advise this app as the workouts don’t do much if you’re serious about wanting a proper and thorough workout especially for the cost and since you’ll continue to pay for a membership you don’t have for others incompetence and inability to cancel the subscription, it seems like a nice little way to scam money.

To clarify: subscriptions can only be canceled directly by the user via the app or the platform used for sign-up (such as the App Store or Google Play). When a subscription isn't canceled before the renewal date, the charge is applied automatically, and this is outlined in our terms.
That said, we absolutely take your feedback seriously. While our refund policy is limited for auto-renewals that aren't canceled in time, we'd be happy to take another look at your case to ensure everything was handled properly.

I wanted information on how to cancel my subscription since I didn’t have the right button. Zing solved it rapidly. It is great having your own AI coach and support community that is available 24/7. No need to buy expensive personal trainer at the gym. You can exercise in your own environment and no need spending time travelling to and from the gym. With Zing everything is customised to your needs and goals and with the equipment you have at home.

Biggest scam ever
Biggest scam ever. A year ago I paid over $100 for the service and then was locked out for months. When support finally came around to give me access I asked them to cancel it altogether. Fast forward a year, I’ve been charged another $100+ for another year of service. Support decided that I don’t qualify for a refund so these guys are basically just thieves and scam artists.

This is a good app. It keeps me motivated, sets up a plan for me. I like that I can go between a gym and home setting. The coaching works pretty well. I plan to keep going with this at least for a while.
My only negatives I have seen or can think of are that the coaching doesn’t always work or play during the work out. Also sometimes it differs from what is actually being shown.
Overall this is a very useful application I would and have suggested it to others.

I believe that this app will develop into an excellent option however currently there are some shortfalls. Let me add I have only used it for at home workouts. First is not being able to save a workout AFTER you have completed it.
Often the voice description and the demo are not the same. For example lat arm raises says to pause at the top for X seconds but the demo model does not, and position of feet is not the same as spoken (staggered vs hip width).
The rest time is too long and although I love being able to skip or shorten it, the option to have a personalized rest period would be great.
I am finding the moves repetitive. Too many kettlebell arm swings for one. Not enough ab work.
I have to admit I have seen progress and I look forward to the continued development and improvement of this app!!!!!

I really love the Zing app. The workouts in coaching are the best I ever participated in online. I love the way you can tailor these workouts to you specifically.
