Win 10 64x
One star is too much
One star is too much. They cannot support their products, and have NO intention of taking care of customers. Their chat is impossible because they dont give options that can be used and make no effort.
WORST product support ever.... never seen worse.
Pure garbage
Pure garbage. Software download links don't work. Printers can't be set up, waste of money. look elsewhere for label printers and solutions.
A bit astonished by Zebra
I must confess I'm a bit astonished by Zebra. Just spent over £650 on two new ZD230 printers, and there were no instructions in the box, not even a quick setup. Went to zebra.com downloads as instructed on the leaflet - that didn't work 'page has been reset'. Searched for ZD230 drivers and found the installation page, clicked on 'installing the drivers' and got 'page not found'. Come on Zebra!!!! At least provide a quick setup if your web stuff doesn't work. That's really poor.
Hidden support?
I work for a significant agriculture concern in France, Poland and Belgium. All these locations deploy Zebra hardware, ranging from label printers to tablets. Despite their solid hardware, the software is subpar. I often find myself troubleshooting the most basic of issues with Zebra devices. I'm currently on site with our customer but my numerous efforts to get in touch with any support have been in vain. Signing up for the "Discussion Forum" must be approved but I signed up over 40 hours ago and still haven't received a single email with any updates. Logging in takes me to the same "You are currently not setup to access the Zebra Technologies Support Community" page and forcing the sign-up form again gives me the error "ZBRSFDC_006 : User has already registered.". Nearly 24 hours ago I filled in the contact form to get direct support instead, using a valid serial number that is freshly under warranty, ENTERPRISE SUPPORT for a customer that buys hundreds of devices from them, and still no response. Does Zebra even bother to provide any after-market support? I am eagerly awaiting their response.
If you are a potential customer, I urge you to stay away from Zebra products. There are plenty of well-established alternatives that provide a much higher level of support. Or at least any support.
Faulty software
Faulty software packaged in a stylish device that doesn't deliver. Stores blame it on wifi, but even restarting/rebooting doesn't help half the time failing to connect or stay connected. Even windows 8 worked better.
Horrendous Hold Music Experience!
They have absolutely horrendous hold music. The same 20 second clip of guitar music plays on loop. When you add that to extremely long hold times and NO indication of estimated wait time or how many people are in line ahead of you this is an ABSOLUTE FAIL - F grade on designing a hold queue. Why do they want to torture every single solitary person calling up and needing tech support help on their printers? An excellent reason NOT TO BUY ZEBRA PRINTERS.
By the way I don't know who their hold music vendor is, but DoorDash support has the same stupid music.

I upgraded my tc52ax to AOSP (China only) to android 13.. Because I am in China.. And the showcase will not upgrade.. And worse yet, it will not function without upgrading. I have tried every way known to mankind to get ahold of Zebra Technologies, so called, "tech" dept., and it doesn't even have an email to get ahold of them.. I am disabled and cannot functionally communicate over the phone.. They do not have one iota of support for the handicapped.. I almost threw my Zebra down the toilet.. But it would simply be retrievable with absolutely no damage to it.. So, I'll just hang on to mine. Zebra sucks! Woo!
Terrible Support.
It's their support. it's abysmal. I have been sat waiting in a livechat queue for 4 hours with no response for a critical issue caused by their devices. Useless.
The worst after sales service for a…
The worst after sales service for a product I have ever had.
I bought a Zebra ZD220 in March 2020. In June 2022 the PCBA failed on it making the printer unusable. So I ordered a part from the USA seeing as all the Zebra authorised dealers in New Zealand do not stock this item, yet the printer you can purchase from over 30 suppliers here.
So I ordered the part from the USA. I didn't even get an email saying they didn't have stock. I found that out when I emailed a month later. I was told by Thermal Label Supplies that it would be about two weeks before it was shipped, so waited a month and it still wasn't shipped or was I contacted, so I got a refund a tried using the ZPS store. They did exactly the same! no mention on their website of the product being out of stock, just take my money and expect us to be ok with no contact.
This is a spare part that is hindering my business running efficiently and is needed urgently. The only feedback I get, is why don't you buy a new one. Why should I. You have spare parts for a reason.
I will not recommend, nor purchase another Zebra product again.
I did get contacted when I complained to Zebra but recommending I go on your website to find an authorised seller in New Zealand when they only sell the printer and the only spare parts are what I do not need does not work for me.
It is now December 7th and I am still in exactly the same place as when it failed.
Pick your game up Zebra as I am not the only one complaining going by other reviews.
I have decided now that throwing this piece of junk in the bin is the best option. You have lost my companies business from this. You are the manufacturer, why can't I order directly from you seeing as no one has your products?
Cannot recommend Zebra at all...
We're a new RFID company that started using Zebra products 4 years ago. As we developed software and hardware solutions, we spent tens of thousands on Zebra hardware and software (ZD500R printers, various RFID aerials, hubs and ATR aerials) , only to find that their software (and the support team) were abysmal. Their hardware performance is being eclipsed by half price overseas alternatives in our testing.
Zebra Designer Professional is just OK if you're printing normal labels (if you accept system errors, poor save options and constant reboots OK), but introduce RFID and you start to hit their true weakness.
I've just printed 370 customer RFID labels from Zebra Designer Pro 3 to a ZD500R printer - consistent problems and approx 20% RFID label wastage from their terrible software communications. The software hangs regularly, fails to save configurations and screws up print job like it's sponsored by the competition!
I've had technical calls with their development team and the advice I received was actually incorrect, so I now have zero confidence in them.
We have moved to an alternative RFID supplier and Zebra will see no more of our business. The new hardware is half the price, is more stable and performs so much better.
Avoid!
Support response is canned and garbage
Support response is canned and garbage. There are no direct lines of support have to wait through a call queue and pray that you get a call back at a reasonable time. Scheduled a call with some guy in India and never got a call back at the scheduled time. Every time the guy calls back and I'm off doing something else because I cannot sit and wait. The machine is not in a small office I work in a hospital where multiples of these huge behemoths exist.

Their drivers don't support Windows 11
- Their drivers do not fully support Windows 11, certainly not as plug and play, and issues discussed about this on their forum have gone ignored
- The structure of their model numbers is confusing and is not documented anywhere
- Support took over a week to get back to me, and made false promises that they didn't keep
- With newer printer models, it seems they've moved more in to provided extras, purchasable for more money, rather than including things. Even ethernet is an extra charge when in previous models it wasn't
- Their product pages and YouTube videos are completely useless. Who manages this crap?
Customer service
Customer service? No ribbon supply available from anybody for the last 6 months so I contacted their Customer support to find out where i could get them and they gave me a list of resellers that don't have them. Thanks a lot Zebra .. twif
Good company.
The worst customer service I have ever…
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Having used Zebra products for a while they have also been reliable but when I had an issue the returns/repair process under warranty was awful. Its been over 6 weeks and I am still waiting for the printer to be returned. Lots of apologies after i keep complaining but just new ETA'S. Would never buy Zebra again.
Long, slow, difficult repair process buy elsewhere
Any printer repairs have to be returned to Zebra although how you are supposed to provide a suitable large, strong bow for an industrial printer I have no idea.
Courier collects the printer and delivers to zebra the next day. Printer returned after 3 weeks!! no advance notice of delivery, no advice note enclosed with the printer, no labels or ribbon returned with printer. No details of what fault was fixed or the nature of any repairs.
After complaining to customer service I was sent a copy of the repair advice note that said " no fault found no repairs made" yet the printer is working better than it has ever done.
i submitted a request
i submitted a request, and was told to wait, 2 weeks, finally some replied to say someone from Zebra will call. Then 2 weeks later, someone called, and it was the sales. he promised he will give a reply in 3 days, 1 week later nothing, but someone else called and asked me for all the same details again and again promised to reply in a few days. Then another week past and finally there was a reply from the first email to say their engineers don't want to help. Great, 5 weeks...for nothing...after buying some zebra products which we were promised will work.
Disgusted.
Today we have gone to print our labels for a meals delivery service for vulnerable people to find the software has been “turned off” by Zebra because they have decided it’s end of life. We’ve had no warning and now we’re completely stuck! Thanks Zebra. I’ve often sang your praises but not anymore!
I’ve just checked its £256.55 for the new version!
