My accountant used Yousign while I was abroad to sign my company's annual accounts and end-of-year documents. The account was created solely for this one-off purpose and was used for a very short period.
After the documents were signed, the subscription was accidentally left active due to a simple human error. The account was not used again.
I was surprised to receive a charge later for a subscription that I wasn't even aware had been set up in my company's name. As soon as I became aware of it, I contacted Yousign, explained the situation, and asked whether the charge could be cancelled given that the account had not been used since the initial signing process. They were able to verify that there had been no further activity on the account.
Unfortunately, there was no flexibility whatsoever. Despite explaining the circumstances and the fact that the service had not been used, I was told the charge still had to be paid. When I disputed it, the matter was eventually passed to a debt collection agency over a very small amount.
What disappointed me most was not the money itself, but the complete lack of common sense and customer care. Mistakes happen. When a customer reaches out in good faith, explains the situation immediately, and there is clear evidence that the service has not been used, I would expect a company to show some understanding and try to find a reasonable solution.
Instead, I felt that the process was handled in an unnecessarily rigid and revenue-focused way. It's a shame, because had the situation been handled differently, I would have been perfectly happy to use Yousign again in the future.
Based on my experience, I would advise anyone signing up to pay very close attention to subscriptions, renewals and cancellation procedures. And use a different service where you can, one that actually cares about their customers.
Horrible tool for the time being for us.
2 month of usage. Licence bought for 1 year.
I can't escape weekly bugs, unrecognised errors and inability to simply login to my account. Even after cleaning every cookie and using incognito, somehow app is made in the way sessions are becoming still and it needs a hard reset or so (that's my observation, not claim).
Support was responsive.
Sales rep. disappeared after selling the tool for 1 year and switched every task to Support.
Can't recommend this tool currently to anyone.
Should be in Beta stage
I recently experienced a deeply disappointing situation with Yousign. After attempting to downgrade my subscription before the renewal date, I was charged €60 for two seats that have never been used, not once.
Despite multiple exchanges with their support team, every response has been a copy-paste of their terms and conditions. No gesture of goodwill, no consideration for the fact that the service was completely unused, and no reminder email sent before the automatic renewal.
I understand that companies have policies. What I don’t understand is how a company that positions itself as a trusted digital partner can justify keeping €60 from a small business owner who was just trying to get started, for a product that delivered absolutely nothing.
I genuinely hoped Yousign would be part of my business tools long-term. That will not be the case.
If you are a small business considering this platform, make sure you set a calendar reminder well in advance of your renewal date, because they will not remind you, and they will not refund you.
This SCAM service let's you know only when you decide to cancel and somehow it doesn't, and you go searching for answers, that you learn that it requires 15 DAYS before the billing cycle is over, so you have to pay another very expensive month. So beware: it doesn't operate like every other service you sign up to, it has hidden tricks to extract more money from you. It's like Ryanair closing online check-in 6 hours before every other company to force a few poor customers to pay an extra fee at the airport. Except Yousign is not even cheap compared to others, it's conniving AND expensive.
Super complicated to use and expensive. 45€ to sign one legal document QES verification.
This is worst signing solution we ever tried...
30 MIN TO UPLOAD A DUCUMENT..
Full of bugs. For a broker production company who needs to send several contracts to clients it's just hell.
An we pay for that...
We decided to use Yousign for signing our employment contracts. As a European provider, we were initially positive about the choice. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing.
Yousign communicates that you can sign with a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) for €15 and reuse that signature. In practice, however, you end up paying for it every single time. This means the actual cost is €30 per document. Although they acknowledged that the information provided was incorrect, they still enforced their one-month notice period.
The signing process itself has been highly unreliable. For €30 per document, we expected a smooth and professional experience. Instead, we encountered repeated bugs and verification failures. The “Oops, something went wrong” screen appeared more often than a successful completion page.
When you use signing software for employment contracts, you want to make a professional impression on candidates and partners. Unfortunately, this tool did the opposite for us.
If reliability, transparency, and user experience matter to you, I would strongly recommend exploring alternative solutions.
I live in France, I have a spanish passeport. Every time I have a problem with my name or my firstname. Yousign doesn't work properly with passeport from another country (or spanish passeport?) Review your program or the instruction on how to use!!!
I send a comment trough the app to the person who send my the sign request but he doesn't receve the message... Reveiew your programor the intructions on how to use !!!
easy to use. I also appreciate the track of all documents allready signed
Solution simple et fonctionnelle qui facilite grandement le déploiement de la signature électronique.
The product itself works, but the business model is deeply frustrating and disproportionate for one-off users.
I needed to complete a single Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) for a mandatory administrative procedure. Instead of offering a straightforward pay-per-signature option, Yousign forces users to purchase a full monthly subscription, plus an additional QES add-on, dramatically inflating the cost of a one-time need.
This was not a recurring or professional signing workflow, but a single signature required by a public authority. The system feels designed to push subscriptions even when they provide no added value to the user.
While the signing process itself is fine, the lack of a clear, transparent pay-as-you-go option for Qualified signatures is disappointing and poorly aligned with the real needs of entrepreneurs and individuals.
Yousign would be far more user-friendly if it offered a true one-off payment option for QES, without forcing customers into an unnecessary SaaS subscription.

Very disappointed in their service as I am certain I cancelled my subscription before the 15 days period and was still charged the extra month that I didn't even use and I still had to pay 76 euro in late fees. Appalling company !

Cancellation policies are shady (at best) and seem purposefully misleading / not working as described. I canceled my subscription 15d before it renewed and my YouSign Dashboard was clearly showing I would *NOT* be charged again. Then 15d later... boom, charged again! I reached out to Support only a few minutes after receiving the invoice email, but "Sorry our policies are clear, you had to cancel 15d before renewal and have been charged for a full month but don't worry it will stop in a month from now".
They did not even read my message and acknowledged the bug/issue. I ended up doing a charge-back with my bank and will just use a competitor in the future.
Pretty sad that they have these predatory practices, not a very good sign if you ask me.

Pricing and cancellation are completely misleading. Beware that you'll likely pay the double you intend because they actively mislead about cancellation. This requires a notice period which for long subscriptions is longer than the notice period of an apartment (!!) and which you will clearly miss.
In their defense this is written in their terms of use. Hence, legally it is not a scam, in practice it is. For the rest it does what is says, it is just not worth the money at all given that the alternatives offer the same service.

Had the “pleasure” of using Yousign in May 2025 for one instance only. I paid for the monthly subscription and immediately cancelled it, since I only needed to sign one document with QES.
This means I cancelled my Yousign plan 30 days before the next billing date, twice the required 15-day notice stated in their own terms.
Despite this, Yousign tried to charge me several times for a subscription, I can't stress this enough, that had already been cancelled. When I contacted support in June to clarify the situation, I explained there must have been a technical error on their end: hovering over the cancellation button displayed “request received”, but the cancellation was never actually processed. I never received a reply to my email. Months later, I discovered that Yousign sent my case to a debt collection agency to recover a payment I do not owe.
I also tried contacting Pauline Boiret, Senior Customer Success Manager on LinkedIn, but received no response.
A deeply disappointing and frustrating experience. Avoid at all cost.

This is the second review I wrote here. They charge me another subscription without my permission and despite my previous cancellation. I have reported them to Fraud Control (DGCCRF), and I will continue to report them to every organisation in France that can help to neutralise those scammers. It is a shame that this scam website was actually suggested by the French INPI(guichet-entreprises)

Doesn't work on Firefox. Error msg is 'Instable internet connexion'. Finaly solved after switching and using Chrome. However, i really lost my temper in trying multiple times, working on my router etc. . Right feed-back to customer should mention it's different browser that is needed - and not let customer stress for hours as he cannot sign a very important document
And also: NO confirmation of signature by email, right after it has been validated!! WTF?
