After a very long queue to get the car (there was a single person and the queue filled the whole corridor), we got a malfunctioning car. As soon as we started it we had a warning about airbag not working. We complained to the staff member that gave us the key, but he said it was just a faulty sensor, and he had no other car for us anyway. So we left with this car.
But after a week we started getting alarms for a lot of other things like ABS and ESP. The brakes started behaving oddly. And we got an alarm about clutch temperature, and at this point air conditioning was not working anymore.
We called the support saturday afternoon and they said hey would not do anything before sunday morning. We called back then, proposed to get someone drive to us and fix the problem or give us a new car, but then changed their mind and sent us to a mechanic nearby. He just changed the battery on their request, but after the next 20 minutes ride, all issues were back. From then on, AddCar support never answered anymore, and after losing the whole sunday morning dealing with the issue, we had a malfunctioning car for the full second week.
We asked for compensation when bringing back that car. The employee said he could do nothing and told us to send an email. We never heard back after three weeks.

It’s a cramped tiny office near the airport PVK - but staff pleasant. Car was scratched all over, front wheels had tyre pressure warnings on (when I collected). It was worrying but at drop off there were no issue and my deposit was refunded instantly. 4/5 not 5, because it wasn’t a lovely experience, it was just fine and did the job.

The rental in Athens went smoothly and quickly. Returning the car at the airport, however, was a nightmare. I spent almost two hours waiting in line and eventually had to ask to be served separately because I was at risk of missing my flight. Never again.

Booked 2 cars with booking under my name--they charged the full insurance to change a name (108 euros) and they don't let you put a bank card down for the deposit, unless you also pay 108 euros for an insurance policy--ended up having to pay 216 euros extra on the spot. Preposterous.

Flexible, timely, quick. They asked for an ‘airport fee’, however when I confirmed I already paid for everything online, it was accepted.

We booked a vehicle from 25th July to 2nd August from Athens. When we first received the Renault Clio, we were slightly concerned that there was so much damage to the front left corner of the vehicle (but were informed that the resident mechanic had taken a look at the vehicle and confirmed that there were no issues (apart from the obvious visual damage).

We found two different issues:

1. When driving on the motorway above approximately 80kph, when driving normally (within the white lines) and not changing lanes, the vehicle displayed a visual warning (stating keep control of the vehicle), an audio warning (a beep) and a vibration in the steering wheel. This is dangerous as it keeps happening every few minutes, seemingly at random and is very distracting to the driver. This made all of our motorway driving very difficult and unpleasant. It does not happen at lower speeds, perhaps a sensor was broken or impacted during the previous crash damage?

2. When driving along at lower speeds, we experienced complete power loss, no aircon, no sat nav and no radio. We had to restart the car in order to restore power. This has happened several times.

No response despite emailing customer services three times. Car was dangerous, no acknowledgment at all.

This time, compared to the previous one in Kefalonia, I wasn't entirely satisfied. The welcome was warm and the staff were friendly, but the car they rented to me had some damage not described in the document sent to me after collection. In one case, a repair was still listed as damage, which was undoubtedly an outdated document. The car also had some serious problems: the rubber on the left front windshield wiper was torn, making it impossible to use and leaving a streak of water on the windshield that I had to wipe away manually with a tissue. Furthermore, the front tires were severely worn, making it difficult and dangerous to drive on some uphill roads. The car swerved left and right due to lack of traction.

Rented car Skoda Fabia was very good.
Customer care was ignoring my emails regarding my complaints and request to explain costs of 1121€ because of an unfortunate loss of the keys in Zakynthos and omit the penalty for traveling to an island without being informed that this was not allowed without an additional insurance of 40€.
Paying an overall rent of 705€ for 3 weeks the penalty of 1121€ is not reasonable. Additionally, I've been informed to receive the new keys in the evening of the next day but this didn't happen. We have received the keys one day latet which forced us to search a new accommodation for one further night. Having a family with two children with me made the organization of a move to a different accommodation without a car difficult and expensive.
In my opinion this is not a customer care.

Excellent in every way. Do not look further. They are professionals and absolutely correct in every way.

Avoid at all cost. Your Car Rental in Heraklion is represented by thieves, not professionals. They charged me 523 euros for a tiny scratch. Not only that, they added scratches that were not mine in the report. Being in the heat with a child who was unwell I did not want to argue and thought customer service would understand the situation, nothing. Absolutely evil. After 1 month of holidays, this company brought too much stress to my experience in Crete. Terrible, terrible company.

I recieve the car fast, the guy at the Thessaloniki office was so supportive and try to help us solving an issue with our second car we rent from Avance.
One small issue durung the process, we recieve a little bit dirty, but its not critical 🙂

Straightforward to deal with, just be aware they charge the deposit to the card and then refund unlike others I have dealt with that leave the transaction pending, so given handling charges meant approx £40 cost in my case

The whole process was easy. Please note, that you don't get the car directly at the airport but after a very short transfer with a shuttle ( Our driver Elly was really helpful) . Calculate some extra 30 minutes when you get the car our bring it back. The car was great, Yours car was generouse when they checked the car when we returned it.

We got everything exactly how described in the add. We were not in for any surprise or extra cost!

Really helpful emails and messages before we arrived in Cyprus and our pickup at Larnaca airport was handled really well and our transfer to the hire office was made by a friendly and knowledgeable agent.

Our car was perfect for what we needed and the check in / return process was quick and not overly complicated.

I would certainly use this company again and thanks again to the agent at the Larnaca office for her friendly and helpful service.

Overall a poor service based on attitude of staff members involved. If you do have reason to complain, there’s little point as they will close ranks and deny any grievance. Be very careful as the insurance protection is extremely basic with no offer of enhanced protection as they don’t provide it. If in an accident it could potentially cost you thousands. Ensure full protection when booking in the UK. Personally, I would seek another car rental provider and holiday company’s should investigate in the interests of their customers.

Everything was just fine: low waiting time both when getting the car and when returning. Upgrade for free (since the category I booked was not available). Deposit returned realtime when returning the car. Very nice and professional person at the counter. Very good experience from all angles.

The staff are always with a smile and really fast on getting your car ready to go. The cars that they have are brand new in an excellent condition

Terrible company. Cancelled my reservation as they said it was over one hour after my flight landed ( 1 hour 20 minutes) and so they treated me as a no show. Even though my pick up time on the reservation was 1pm and I arrived at exactly 1pm. They said nothing they could do. Wasted 2 hours of my time. They did not attempt to contact me. Had to rebook car with another company. When asked why they didn’t base it on the actual arrival time, they said they do not hour appointment times when a flight number is provided. They didn’t even offer to rebook a car or try to assist in any way. Lady at the counter was not helpful. Awful human being. I have rented cars for many years from multiple places, never had something this this happen. I would strongly recommend to avoid. There are multiple other customers on site with other complaints.

Also The counter is not on site. About a 15 min walk from airport on busty narrow sidewalk. Not ideal it traveling with kids.
