I have been nibbling away at their courses over the years, and I am always happy to recommend these guys. The way they explain things, while combining clean simple diagrams (and sometimes funky sounds) is extremely clear and helpful to someone who is not a natural. They are also incredibly responsive to their students, which makes me wonder if they ever get some sleep, or if they are super humans!

I had so many aha moments with these guys. The lessons are amazing and I have just passed my B1 - so very happy. The combination of the video explanations and the workbooks and additional exercises keep you motivated as you work through each level. Thank you Luzi and Johannes

After taking all the courses, i would say that i enjoyed the experience and learned a lot meanwhile.

I've just completed B1.2 after doing A2.1, A2.2 and B1.1. It's an excellent set of courses, very closely integrated together so that all of the content is easy to find, especially for revision. For example, in the B1.2 course occasionally there's a recommendation to review a previous topic and you're given the chapter reference so you can go straight there. Everything links together and supports your progress.

There's is also a wealth of additional content, tips and tricks in the videos, explanations of the different usages in spoken or written German, extra expressions you won't find in a textbook. The worksheets are of course essential and they are really well written very focused on just those things you might get wrong. Not so much just repetition but repetition with thinking. If you get something wrong, you can easily identify what it was.

The recommendation to use the Brainscape app was, for me, really valuable. I used it briefly every day to revise and learn the vocabulary and it made a big difference. I also made grammar summary cards of my own for each lesson of B1.1 and B1.2 which helped me to revise and check up specific points.

All in all, a superb group of courses, unconditionally recommended to everyone.

I have taken all six courses that Johannes and Luzi have provided (A.1.1, A.1.2, A.2.1, A.2.2, B.1.1, and B.1.2). They are excellent all the way through. The graphics are colorful and engaging. The lectures are interesting and often dynamic. The overall plan of the six courses is logical and really solid pedagogy. I found the worksheets and the end-of-chapter quizzes especially helpful to show me how I was misunderstanding or misapplying what I thought I had thoroughly understood from the lectures.

That was an excellent course that helped me make a significant progress in my German understanding and knowledge.
The explanations in the Videos are clear and the exercises are efficient in practicing the material.

Excellent as a companion to Duolingo (or whatever daily practice program). I appreciated the straight forward explanations and grammer lessons that I would not have picked up in Duolingo. Money well spent! Thank you, Luzi and Johannes!

Very clear grammar explanations, fun yet challenging worksheets and a well-organised and visually interesting course book full of summaries and little tasks to keep you motivated. Quite simply the best German course I've ever come across. In using these materials, I have already passed my A1 Goethe exam with 90% and A2 with 88%. Looking forward to B1 and finally feeling hopeful that I can master this language and integrate properly. Thank you so much Luzi und Johannes!

I can’t thank this course enough for the incredible learning experience. Alongside this program, I am also attending German classes at a VHS school, and I can confidently say that this course alone is more than sufficient to achieve even C2-level fluency.

I am a foreigner who attend an integration course and without this course here, I would never be able to follow the temp and understand the topics. Everything in this course is perfectly organised and clear. There are excersices after every chapter which helps a lot to train the material. The videos are short and easy understandable. There are a lot of tips and tricks. I would change nothing in this course. Well done Luzi and Johannes!

As someone who has been living in Berlin for nearly 4 years, I have tried many different learning methods such as private courses, VHS, private tutoring, and Udemy. However, the one that suited me best by far was “Your German Teacher”. I could create my own study program, and the content of the course was truly rich and well-structured. They explain the logic of grammar especially well, which made a big difference for me.

I have completed the A2 level, and the course content was excellent. There were plenty of listening, reading, grammar, and practice test materials. I truly wish I had discovered this platform earlier. I wouldn’t have wasted so much time trying other methods.

Having the grammar explained in English (the courses I attend in Austria are taught only in German) is so helpful and the material and grammar charts are great.

I recently completed the A2.1 German course and found it excellent. The video lessons were very helpful in explaining grammatical concepts clearly, and the accompanying worksheets and workbook were both easy to follow and appropriately challenging, which really supported my learning. I would highly recommend this course to anyone studying German.

I’m also attending a face-to-face class that uses the Momente and Schritte textbooks, but I found this online course even more effective in helping me understand and apply the material.

Your enthusiasm and passion teaching your beautiful language has led me to study with joy and dedication a couple of hours everyday for the last 45 days until I have completed A1 course.

Before finding your method, I tried at least 3 times with printed books and other online basic spoken German courses but there were many grammar concepts not very clearly explained that frustrated me a lot and pushed me to abandon the proposal.
